Could you possibly post a list of your current deck. I have been curious about the rally version of the deck and am wondering whether or not I should try it out.

Edit: I see now that you mentioned this in your update (you'd add an additional Finks or Seer). I was actually curious how the 2x Viscera Seer was working out for you. Did you find yourself Chording for it pretty often?

I think in an ideal world we'd be running three, but the deck is just so tight, you have to find extra slots somewhere. For me, the thinking was that I was likely to be off of combo in games two and three, so I didn't want to devote as many slots to it. If I were running the third I'd definitely make it a Cartel Aristocrat or a Bloodthrone Vampire to work around Surgical Extraction and Pithing Needle effects. But anyway, I ended up with it in hand or in a coco pile most of the times I needed it -- I only remember chording for it once to combo. I definitely remember wishing I had it when I didn't one game against Ponza, but that's kinda just Magic. It never really felt good enough to chord for it just to sack a Voice, I always wanted to hold the chord up for Selfless Spirit or Saffi or something. And I only ever really wanted to see one in a game -- people will usually remove your Anafenza/Melira first, and if they do remove Seer you can always recur it with a Rallier later.
Ummmmmmmmm, on the whole I'll say that yeah, two felt okay! Right now I'm thinking that if I were gonna add cards to the main I'd prioritize the fourth Finks, then Spellskite, then the third sac outlet.
courser of kulphix + renegade rallier + fetchland interaction is a very strong play when you are trying to assemble the combo. filtering lands and gaining some life/blockers to stall is great.
Hi all. I want to give this deck a shot. I want to take a break on my primary deck and want to look for a secondary deck. I have other decks but they're not that competitive enough to play in big tournaments.
I'm considering this deck as it has an "I win" option via combo and I have pieces from my Abzan Liege deck. I want to focus on the combo aspect (but I think everybody does primarily) as I'm bad at combat strategies. Of course I won't have any choice if the combo is not available. I also believe that this deck is still a sleeper as it was a Tier 1 deck last year.
I'm more familiar with the old combo (Melira/Anafenza, Viscera and Redcap) rather than the Saffi and Renegade techs. Any advantage of the new techs vs the old combo (I know Saffi is an old card but I seldom see her from the old Coco Abzan decks)?
Anyone know if the mana-base is doable with only the Kahns fetches? I'm trying to build the deck but lack the requisite Horizon Canopy and Verdant Catacombs. The rest of the lands seem rather budget as is.

Pretty torn on that. As a replacement you're losing value and combo potential, but picking up points against infect / bogles / affinity / other random stuff; as an addition it's redundant, which isn't necessarily a bad thing except that we're so tight for slots. In lieu of an actual answer, I'll say that if you're not running the Saffi combo you definitely wanna have the full four finks.
It does seem like a tough choice, I'm looking forward to more testing. Just picked up Saffi and going to try out a main with 1 Saffi, 2 EWit, 2 Ralliers, 3 2 Seers & 4 Finks (1x Spellskite in the SB). Only 1 2x Voice for now with Fiend Hunter as the 9th 3-drop.

I think the goal was to mostly focus on bringing back voice since there is a MB tracker. With the top lists being BGx and Control I bet the Rallier/Voice choice was very strong.
Hard to say. The interaction between Rallier and Voice is indeed strong, but also seems too focused on big beats as a win-con. I actually imagine a combination of Tracker, Courser, and Rallier is better in terms of utility, especially combined with fetches and canopies.
I've played only 1 Horizon for over a year, not sure I've missed the second, but ordering one to playtest. Some pain involved with Horizon, and doesn't help Black.
