The other spoiler I'm interested in is Renegade Railer -- I think Eternal Witness is significantly better for obvious reasons, so I don't really know where this card would find a spot, but a 3/2 Witness that brings back a combo piece directly to the battlefield definitely seems like the sort of thing that's worth looking at. There are a lot of corner cases where it's easy to imagine this being good.
Lists having the most success were running 4 Eternal Witness, and I think you could cut it to 3 Witness 1 Renegade Railer. Having the option to Chord for it could lead to some blowouts in some corner-cases where you can't cast it from hand with Eternal Witness. I'd be happy trying out 1.
Thinking about it more, the most common target will be Fetchlands, so you could theoretically jump from 1 mana turn 1 (play a dork), 3 mana turn 2 and play this, ending up with 5 mana turn 3. Could have some merit but we don't need that extra ramp.
@jhg218 - Metallic Mimic is interesting. In my case I'm trying to run 3 Melira, Sylvok Outcast and 0 Anafenza, Tree-Kin Spirit. Maybe a 2/1 split between Melira and Mimic would be worth a try? It would help me cut down on the number of times I have multiple copies of Melira.
Mine is a very unique case as I'm trying to run just enough white mana for Gavony Township but not enough for WW cards like Anafenza TKS & Fiend Hunter. Melira does seem stronger overall though.
@Torpf - Are the most successful lists really running 4 copies of Eternal Witness? It seems like there's 2 general philosophies for the main deck: Logan Mize style commitment to combo (4 EWit, sometimes extra dorks)and Brian Demars style grind (2 EWit, only 2x Viscera Seer, 2x Tireless Tracker, 1x Courser of Kruphix).
Has either one of these emerged as the superior build? Or, maybe a better question, any idea which meta conditions would be favorable for the combo focus and which conditions would favor a grindy-type build?
Another spoiler of interest -- Hope of Ghirapur. I'm not really convinced by it, but I can think of worse things to be boarding in against Scapeshift / Tron, and it's noteworthy that we can recur it with Witness (or Renegade Railer).

Ok ... just a thought, but wouldn't Renegade Rallier be better as a replacement to Wall of Roots if it can effectively do the same job with Chord (provided a revolt trigger and a fetchland in the yard) while also providing additional utility in terms of recurring combo pieces? Like right now Im tempted to run a full set of Witness and duo Ralliers, but I'm aware that three mana is greater than two.

I'll certainly be trying it. With Fatal Push around, wall of roots is much less appealing.
If you want a 3-drop that isn't wall of roots, the only option is sylvan caryatid really. Not ideal but it's removal proof and makes B at least I guess.
Voice of Resurgence could be considered I guess. But you need ~10 (8-12 probably) 2-drops for the deck's curve to work. And if you cut walls you should be adding a land most likely.
I am used to playing kiki-chord and Ludafish has a nice deck with CoCo and kiki chord (link below.)
I was wondering if it was possible to make an CoCo abzan deck that runs a singel copy of archangel of thune to chord for. The 'regular' abzan company list I often find having many creatures that does not do much on their own. But a coco chord list you could have much beefier creatures in the deck and rather use the combo as a plan B. Surly somebody must have atemted it sometime.
DeMars has since given up on archangel/feeder. I really don't think it fits in this deck. You're better off playing answers to hate and going to combo town.
If you want to try beefier creatures you can try supplementing trackers. They're pretty good. Remember too play 10 fetches or so with them.
Often the kiki chord deck just winns on beatdown. More often then not usually.
I just imagined turn 1 dork into turn 2 anafensa would be good. We have had an increase of dredge decks in our meta. Coco into Anafensa + something else seems very good.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
I have no experience with the deck. But feeder is very bad on his own, spending 3 mana on him is a huge investement for a 2/2 chump blocker with lifegain. The angel does not seem all that impressive. Expensive and slow, you need to have some lifegain on the table the turn you play her. Or get some payoff 2 turns later. That sounds very slow for a format like modern.

I'm not sure how to feel about the B&R announcement tbh. Dredge nerf is definitely great news for us -- we can hope to see less graveyard hate within a few weeks -- but I'm nervous about where the meta is headed. GGT ban nerfs Dredge, Git Probe ban nerfs aggro -- both of these things are good news for midrange and control, and along with the printing of Fatal Push should lead to a slower format. If midrange and control take off, Tron and Scapeshift get that much better, and suddenly we're looking at a very hostile meta.
But, that said, if we could survive the dredge season we can survive pretty much anything, it'll just be a matter of tuning. I've definitely got my Voices ready to go. And overall I think the bans are good for modern.
GGT ban actually makes Push a lot better, as the only cards that would be preferable to Path would Redcap in the mirror, Tron fatties, and maybe Kiki-Jiki in Kiki Chord.
I would probably go 2 Push 1 Path 2 Decay 1 Pulse for the sideboard removal configuration in light of the BR announcement

Saying you have no experience with the deck and then proceding to tell that spike feeder is bad without having tried it.
Spike feeder is a much better creature than you think. You can move counters around, reset finks, make your finks big enough to trade with colonades in combat, small uses that messes with your opponent, as well as being a combo creature, and good against aggressive decks.
There is value in having a combo that doesn't use the graveyard, only uses 2 cards and attacks on a different axis than the normal combo. Archangel is also a replacement for melira/anafenza in the normal combo. She is also a must answer asap threat.
I mean, there is an argument for dropping the combo, and if graveyard hate gets played less it might be ok, but for now imo it's great.

But spike feeder is bad. I played with him when he came out in stronghold. I played with him in extended. I played him i timespiral drafts. I have played him in commander. I am very familiar with him. Had moving the counters around costed 0 instead of 2 he might be good on his own, but now he is just bad unless you meet burn. No other decks that do not care about the combo potensial wants to play him despite the praces you give hime. Why is that? Because he is not very good.
I do agree a combo deck that does not use the gravyard is good. I am playing kiki chord where both of the cards are even good on their own.

Spoilery questions for all you smart people: Fatal Push may be a reasonable SB alternative to Path, but on the whole I can't see how it is anything but a net negative to have more cheap instant removal around.
Have had company boxed up with too much guys hate and red in our meta, happily on Junk right now, And FP is just another nail for AC sadly. Hoping for a dredge related ban now to get back on track.
FP going to help lantern and grixis of course but otherwise will mostly replace existing less efficient removal rather than make more. Not sure how much room it has in a creature toolbox tho...

This is not a card for abzan company.

Why is the archangel/feeder combo bad?
Also, is 2 Gavonies or 3 Gavonies the way to go with this deck as the backup plan?
