I don't like the jund zoo, but the Naya nahiri zoo list is cool
That was on mtggoldfish instant deck tech I was testing the exact same list minus dragon lords a while back and it was great deck. I probably will play next iq
I just removed the 2 voice and elspeth for put 3 rancor. Right now it work pretty well.. specially when i got nacatl and rancor turn 2. I can deal vs big eldrazi and my goyfs are stronger than goyfs opponen. work pretty well vs alot of deck !
I've started playing bushwhacker zoo and am unsure if I should be sticking to gruul colours in the sideboard. Particularly, should I be using Eidolon or Thalia?
Also, is 3 Ghor Clans and 3 Flinthoof Boars too much?

You can support white splash for SB. Probably for things like Thalia, Rest in Peace, Path to Exile and perhaps Deflecting Palm.
Not sure what your list is, but it sounds like it's heavy on 2-drops. I ran 2 GCR and 3 Boars this weekend and found GCR situationally useful and the Boar somewhat unsatisfactory. Not sure what to replace it with, though.
Those of you interested in small zoo I've been playing this version of gruul zoo or as I say zoogobs and it has done some work. Give it a shot for some fun under the sun. B]

I don't think I'm interested in playing a list where you have practically zero reach, so after you eat a Pyroclasm you're basically done. And yes, this list probably needs fetches and a Sacred Foundry.
I switched from Goblins to Small Zoo because I felt I wasn't getting enough sustained punch with Goblins, and that the game plan was basically trying to turn FSD into a Wild Nacatl -- so figured I might as well play Wild Nacatl instead. I might still try a splash green version of Goblins so that I can add Rancor and Mutagenic Growth maindeck and Destructive Revelry in the SB. The case in point is that once the game goes past T3, Goblins seem to fold much easier than Zoo -- and there are way too many games that go past T3.
Went 3-1 tonight with gruul. I turned 2 3x bte into a exp. 1 and devil and lost to a pumped blighted. Game 2 I fetched wrong like a scrub, didn't matter 3 mutagetics and become immense on blighted again for win. I hate to get on salt train but BI and blighted is getting old real fast

Can you please link the cards you are referring to.
Game 2: He gets to Tron, and casts Thragtusk, but at this point I have dumped my hand and am topdecking creatures.
1-1
Match 3
Against Mardu midrange / tokens.
Game 1: Normally a bad matchup for me, but my opponent has to mull to 5, and gets mana-screwed, with no red source for Lightning Helix or Lightning Bolt.
Game 2: He is on the play, and plays a tapland. I have a great draw and am able to come out quickly. He played inquisition turn 2 and never got a threat out. He played two intangible virtues, pathed out experiment one, but got stuck with the helix and bolt in hand. Game over on turn 4.
Has anyone tried voltaic brawler in place of flinthoof boar?(for those who play small zoo)
Haven't tried yet, but my list has 2x Rancor and 2x GCR, so I'd rather have haste than trample...
Is it really better than voltaic brawler ? Yes, flinthoof boar is lighter to cast in terms of color and it is a turn faster. But IMHO, it is like a boggart ram-gang without wither.
I havent tested it blossoming defence, but Im sure its bettet than vines. Its half a vines for half the price. Eternal formats care about effects at cheaper. Id switch over, its already proven effective in infect.
About brawler. I tested it lightly. It was ok. On par powerwise with flinthoof boar which isnt saying alot. Its still worse than goyf. And its worse than like all the other options in bigger zoo.
Realistically its probably a hair better than flinthoof. Its a 4/3 on your turn and 3/2 on theirs. Which means it dies to pyroclasm, a huge weakness, but gets chumpped better.
Look it aint the card that saves zoo. Its like nutagenic growth or rancor. They sorta do the same thing fits the same slots sometimes one is better than the other
Tested a bit more with brawler for yall. Hes honestly a hair above flinthoof... but you can use either really. One is a better top deck, the other is a better early game beater.
It was also really hard to test because gruul zoo is so nooottt good right now. Jeez. This meta is anti "normal" aggro.

It is a great deck when it works, but it hasn't worked reliably for me. Then again, I have no Guides so perhaps it's better when you do.

Haven't tried yet, but my list has 2x Rancor and 2x GCR, so I'd rather have haste than trample...
List:
4 Foothills
4 Windswept
3 Bloodstained Mire
2 Stomping Grounds
1 Sacred Foundry
1 Temple Garden
1 Forest
2 Mountain
Creature 30
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Experiment One
4 Vexing Devil
4 Wild Nacatl
4 Kird Ape
4 Reckless Bushwhacker
3 Flinthoof Boar
3 Ghor-Clan Rampager
3 Atarka's Command
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Rancor
2 Mutagenic Growth
1 Vines of the Vastwood
1 Rest in Peace
1 Tormod's Crypt
1 Pithing Needle
2 Spellskite
2 Feed the Clan
2 Path to Exile
3 Forked Bolt
3 Natural State
Deck is less than ideal. Wasn't able to get 1 Rest in Peace and 1 Atarka's Command in time, and still saving up for some other cards.
Match 1
Playing against BW midrange.
Game 1: On the draw. This deck was primarily kill and edict spells, with planeswalkers and Linvala, the Preserver on the top end. He is able to hold off until he can cast Linvala, the Preserver and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
Sideboard:
+2 Path to Exile
-2 Mutagenic Growth
Game 2: I side in path to exile to deal with Linvala, and I get a bit close, but things end up the same way.
0-1
Match 2
Against GR tron.
Game 1: I'm on the draw but he doesn't have natural Tron, and has no mainboard sweepers, so I win the race.
Sideboard:
+3 Naturalize
-1 Vines of the Vastwood
-2 Rancor
Game 2: He gets to Tron, and casts Thragtusk, but at this point I have dumped my hand and am topdecking creatures.
1-1
Match 3
Against Mardu midrange / tokens.
Game 1: Normally a bad matchup for me, but my opponent has to mull to 5, and gets mana-screwed, with no red source for Lightning Helix or Lightning Bolt.
Sideboard:
+3 Forked Bolt
-1 Mountain
-1 Vines of the Vastwood
-1 Rancor
Game 2: He is on the play, and plays a tapland. I have a great draw and am able to come out quickly. He played inquisition turn 2 and never got a threat out. He played two intangible virtues, pathed out experiment one, but got stuck with the helix and bolt in hand. Game over on turn 4.
Record: 2-1
Impressions
The lands, Atarka’s Command, and the overall higher curve felt like the main issues. 18 Lands was too many, and I used my sweet $5 winnings toward a Dryad Arbor. I also missed having Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and the fourth Atarka’s Command. I didn’t like the high cost of Flinthoof Boar and want to test 2 Zurgo Bellstriker until I can get Goblin Guide.
