Turns out I needed more domri in my life. Now I can make oaths fix mana, find beef, find silver bullets to decks, find end game walkers, or find removal. Score.
The list is spicy, I'm concerned about too many mana dorks though.
If the meta is more midrange, I feel that Company lists are better. If there's a ton of real control decks then walkers would be the best bet.
Goyf v Boar is going to be a big thought provoking discussion. Like you said a late game Goyf or even an early one creates a threat that you must answer him, which allows the other creatures to do the beat downs. A late game Boar worked really well in playtesting for me as I could dump 3 mana with no problem for an attack.
I would cut one Ghor-Clan and add the Rancor. Having the ability to get the card back is going to be worthwhile.
Also I like Electrickery in your board. Last night I was thinking my pyroclasm should have been those.
Been playing with Oath for a while and I found out that taking out 1 land with 3+ Oaths works fine.
I had less flooding since I've started playing 3 Oaths + 21 lands on big zoo and kinda the same % of mana screw I had on 22 lands + no Oath.
Also, I remember reading some time ago (I think it was about Delver decks) that for each X (if I remember correctly, it's 4) "1 mana cantrips", you can take out 1 land. Oath is a kind of 1 mana cantrip, but it doesn't blind draw, it let's you dig 3 deep and choose. So, I think the number for Oath, if I'm thinking correctly, is for each 3 Oaths, you can take 1 land out.
Path to Exile, Thalia (to some extent), sweepers, Grim Lavamancer, and Melira are all good options. I'm starting to like Electrickery more and more as well.
Ah, I hadn't thought about Grim Lavamancer, thanks! I was thinking Spellskite, but looking at some infect lists, they seem to run a lot of artifact removal JUST for spellskite, so maybe he's not the best option.
Oh my meta is so diverse. Today I placed 4. I know lantern, I believe has spoke against sarkhan vol ,but in 2 games today. First was grixis delver. A grindy gsme one, he got to flip his thing in ice, I was 13 and he was 8. He Bounced a smiter and qasali. My hand was bolt, sarkhan and a fetch. He gets his 7. I drop vol and minus 2, then bolt. His kalitas was bounced and only card in hand. Last match I did to a 8 power scooze against jund. Lol he had to abrupt decay it. IMO that was ultimate 2 for 1. Then I won with qasali beats. I played 2x Arlinn and was never sad to see one. But 2x domri kills blue if no counters
after watching Lantern's newest Video one question comes to my mind.
It's regarding the Budget Build, a Gruul Style Aggro Deck:
Is 1-Drop Zoo still a valid contender as Budget Build?
Are you talking budget 1 drop are 1 drop burn. I turned my burn deck into a 1 drop zoo. It is fast deadly but sometimes slaps a wall and runs out of gas fast. Id possibly play the build in unknown meta with a play set of rest in piece in side lol
Well, my Tarmogoyf playing brothers and sisters, I am planning on taking Zoo to States this weekend.
Really curious what you guys think the 'best version' of the deck is for a completely unknown meta.
Thanks!
How did the States go for you?
My friends convinced me in our final playtest session to play Jund... it went... poorly. =/

I've posted a list with Bushwhacker before it was a thing in Zoo. No one responds or takes it for a spin. Now, because it pops up in big events everyone is dabbling in it. I just find it funny. lol How does large zoo fair against small zoo? And, how do both fair in the meta as a whole?
I think Small Zoo is better positioned right now, honestly. It consistently goes under control decks, and its go-wide, heavily-redundant style gives the likes of Jund fits even when they do win (and chances are they have to stick a Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet to do that). Big Zoo is eminently playable, don't get me wrong - it's just that the meta is rewarding Small Zoo more.
The list is spicy, I'm concerned about too many mana dorks though.
If the meta is more midrange, I feel that Company lists are better. If there's a ton of real control decks then walkers would be the best bet.

Can you post you list? I've had the opposite experience against control decks packing 37 creatures if you count Devastating Summons.

4-1ed my league, and I even recorded it.
I don't know if it makes me sad or awesome but this was hi light of my day. So glad your doing zoo again.
It's gettin' more and more into Midrange territory. They run Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize, Terminate and other goodstuff. Plus Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Goblin Dark-Dwellers are Bombs.
They pack a bunch of Sweepers in there sideboard and grind me out quickly.
