Just shuffling a few times with only 21 lands And I keep getting 1-0 land hands. I can't do it. I did drop down to 22 with 11 fetches and it seems alright.
Well with 4-5 mana dorks you only need one land and a dork to get a solid start. I wouldn't keep a hand full of smiters with one land, but all the early dudes and a mana dork? All day.

what do we do for American control decks and twin. sorry if it has been discussed. i played Tarmo-twin today. GRU, i won 1 and well was winning the others till combo went off. is just a race? Also USA control, is it a race to get more land to beat them to the counters. I use tec edge in my merfolk, but since our land base is somewhat sensitive.

I was wondering this as well since I'm in the process of building the deck. With the typical decklists I've been seeing I see very little way of avoiding getting killed by the combo. You'd only be relying on path typically since bolt won't get the exarch's. Was thinking two torpor orbs in the sideboard would be good...don't see any lists currently using them, but I feel like it would be necessary to try and get more game against twin.
Twin player casts Splinter Twin. It resolves.
Twin player taps his Exarch to active the Twin ability. In response, you cast Dromoka's Command naming modes 2 (targeting the Twin player) and (either 3 or 4). Command resolves - Twin player must sacrifice an Enchantment. Splinter Twin is an enchantment and it's very unlikely they have a second enchantment out. Splinter Twin is sacrificed and a single token copy of the Exarch ETBs as the stack resolves.
D-Command can also stop twin by having one of your creatures fight their exarch, plus a second ability. The other cards we use are path and pridemage. (Pridemage sac the same way you would D-Command choosing sac an enchantment.) All in all that's around 8 mainboard ways to stop their 4 splinter twins.
What would you suggest boarding against jund? I have beaten the matchup, but I wonder if I just purely outplayed my opponent and got a bit lucky instead of actually having to face a very good jund player.
Also, I saw someone say Ake knew what he was doing...I am not so sure. 21 lands? Go watch his feature matches, he definitely has a noticeable misplay or two that were big. However, with this being said, zoo is well positioned.
Only reason I lost 2 matches at my last PPTQ were literally having good openers (dork, creature or two, 2 lands and 1-2 removal spells) and then drawing all lands for the remainder of the game. I have the worst luck!
We discussed side boarding against jund 1-2 pages back, the main ideas were voice, 4th Coco, or ghor clan rampagers. We don't have any solid research into what is best since then.
Where can I watch all the matches? I unfortunately missed all the rounds that had zoo in them -_-.
Go to twitch and go on SCGs profile and click "watch past broadcasts." Unfortunately, until SCG uploads them to YouTube, this is the only way. You will have to scan through the VODs to see where the matches are.
Not prevalent, even less than us. Don't over extend with them, hold a threat if they answer it, play it. I generally dont commit fully unless I see them aggressively going all in one for one because it means they dont have the wipe.

what do the gruuly / burny Zoo's run against Abzan Company / Melira Company?
Magma Spray,Pillar of Flame or sth. like Torpor Orb?
Green @ it's best

Playing:
Death's Shadow Jund
Played:
Kiki Chord, Zoo variants, Goblins, Burn
Think they meant proactively play it as opposed to having to wait to respond.
I think I like Voice of Resurgence in the main now over Pridemage with the decline of twin and rise of Grixis/jund.
