Grisly Salvage also lets you get an inkmoth/land so its definitely better than commune.
If you are running 3 colors I agree. If you are running UG then Commune is as close as a direct replacement you can get.

Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
If it said opponents come into play tapped I'd be more enthusiastic. When it also forces ours being tapped I find it unplayable.

A BUG/BG deck running 4x become immense/mutagenic with 2 Grisly Salvage a few plague stinger and postmortem lunge sb for removal heavy decks might be fun ^^ use grisly savage at the end of your opponents turn get a pendelhaven/hierarch and discard a creature and then postmortem lunge on your turn with 1 cc become immense/mutagenic backup and you just broke magic
Edit:
Something along the list below would be very entertaining to play lol I have no clue if its any good.
I've been thinking about Postmortem Lunge quite a bit and it could even work in a traditional UG Infect deck since it has Phyrexian mana. Could be fun to sneak the poison counters through that way. The way we play it is pretty predictable. Keeping your opponent on their toes with a hasted infect creature out of the graveyard sounds devious. Just not sure if it is doable or not though.

You can SB it in UG i guess but you only have 8 infect creatures, the inkmoth can't be brought back so it can often be a dead card in your hand. If you run a few more creatures it gets more reliable imo, and only as a sb card or 1/2 of.

I'm running 9 (one Ichorclaw Myr) but I get your point. I do run a copy of Dryad Arbor and although it doesn't have infect I could PM Lunge it for free (2 life) and attack with it and pump it hopefully for lethal traditional damage if my opponent has been liberal with fetch and shock lands. I can see it being better with more creatures. Seems like we are always losing creatures to removal though. My Glistener Elves and B. Agents are in the graveyard a lot it seems.

Are there any creative replacements for Pendelhaven?
Why would you want to replace pendelhaven? You could use cathedral of war for a similar effect but generally pendelhaven is just a great land.
List tags are malformed.
Wouldn't Gather the Pack be better than Commune With the Gods in most situations?
somewhat depends. With such a threat light deck there are 2 issues. first, you might fizzle so the spell mastery piece doesn't matter. Secondly, if you do fizzle on a creature and you play wild defiance in the main which is more and more popular, or rancor, also more and more popular you have a higher % chance to hit. Grisly salvage is the best option as it hits all our threats, but it's gimmicky at best.
Somehow this discussion became more "Casual - Infect" than "T2 - Infect"
And this post makes it a tier one deck correct?
People are discussing options. Playtesting is needed I don't think anyone is suggesting you jump right into a tournament and run these. I prefer an exchange of ideas over nothing. If you prefer nothing, no need to gripe about it.

Youre a casual player so obviously it is no upset to you but I personally am more interested to read competitive content (aka if you playtested it and it felt good vs matchup X and worse vs matchup Y feel more than free to report).
You can also run Rot Wolf if you like more options lol.
I'm not the one complaining at all. Its all coming from you. If you want the deck to excel then put in some cards you think make it more competitive instead of just griping and whining about members making suggestions to see if someone wants to play test them. Looks like you have nothing to suggest so you are just going to nag and detract from anyone who may bring up a card or combo. Bring something positive or suggest a replacement and I will listen. Keep whining like a spoiled teenager and feel free to take it elsewhere. I'm here to share ideas and take ideas from others, your toxic disdain for anything not deemed worthy of your deck is a cancer. Post up what you think will take this deck to Tier 1 if you think you have it. My guess is you don't so you are just going to denigrate others.
Back to an earlier post Gather the Pack could indeed be a replacement to help search for infect creatures. As stated earlier though for those that run Rancor or Wild Defiance that Commune with the Gods could be a better fit if one is running traditional UG Infect. Run BUG Infect and of course Grisly Salvage is the better choice.

I haven't run across any viable ones yet. I'd love to know if there was one out there. I only run one Pendelhaven myself because I hate having a second be a dead card. I'd love to find something that could produce G orU and give a creature a boost. I think most everyone playing Infect would as well.

i thought id run it anyway for thinning. also thinking abt siding temple garden and PTEs.
I play a Temple Garden and play 2 Path to Exiles main. It's incredible. This Bant build has been my favorite so far. You can play BUG if you want. It's pretty sweet to get Abrupt Decay. BUG doesn't put up the same finishes statistically than UG does tho. I'm not sure what everyone has been talking about when they say they don't have enough protection. I guess it's all about the meta. I find that two maindeck Spellskites, 2 Apostle's Blessing, and 4 Vines of Vastwood are plenty. You have to be smart. Know when to deploy your dudes and don't just jam and pray. I usually put up pretty decent finishes in tournaments that I attend. You just have to know your meta and know how to play smart.
P.S. I also play 4 Invisible Stalkers in my board for all of those guys who love to burn themselves after seeing that I'm on Infect. It's a great plan, and works really well.

The problem with all those 2-mana, dig for a creature spells is that you're spending as much mana as it takes to play an Infect creature. You might as well just play more Infect creatures or Wild Defiance. Also, with the exception of Grisly Salvage, none of them get you lands.
The rule that I have for cantrips is that they must be able to get you a land, threat or engine piece. Take Ancient Stirrings for example.
In RG Tron: threat = Wurmcoil/Karn/Ugin/Emrakul, engine = Expedition Map/eggs
In Amulet: threat = Tolaria West (transmute into Summoner's Pact, Pact into Primeval Titan), engine = Amulet of Vigor
Applying the same principle to Grisly Salavge in Infect: threat = any Infect creature/Inkmoth, engine = Pendelhaven/Noble Hierarch
I don't think Commune with the Gods or Gather the Pack (or Commune with Nature, for that matter) have a place in this deck because they can't get pumps other than Hierarch. They also lose to Grisly Salvage on not being able to get Inkmoth Nexus.
One idea that I had (but never got around to testing) was Ancient Stirrings in a mono-G build. Threat = artifact Infect creatures/Inkmoth, engine = Pendelhaven/Noble Hierarch/Cathedral of War. Cathedral pretty much forces you into one color. It doesn't seem like a good idea now though, when people are playing maindeck Kolaghan's Command.
Are there any creative replacements for Pendelhaven?
Llanowar Reborn? Honestly though that card is terrible, it ETBs tapped and you pretty much have to play it on turn 1 since it does nothing if you play your Infect creature first followed by Llanowar Reborn.
I have been playing the BUG infect deck and I like the extra creatures with all the removal hanging around.
I typically run 4 x dismember in the sideboard. Is their any risk of going four colors and
playing white for path to exile instead of dismember. It's pretty much a free splash
as all our fetches get either basic forest, breeding pool, overgrown tomb, or temple garden.
Isn't path to exile just better in every way than dismember. Not taking 2 - 4 life would be huge.
depends on the matchup. I think in a lot of cases path is worse because it advances your opponents plan by 1 turn. The only time the land isn't relevant is if you're going to win the next turn, which the life loss from dismember is irrelevant as well. Dismember is generally better because it's 1 colorless so you can play it off of whatever land you have hanging out, rather than telegraphing that you have path up.
