IMO, Blooming Marsh should always be considered as a 4-of if you are running Grim Flayer and not Noble Hierarch. White mana is only useful turn 3 onwards, we should consistently hit 2 black and 1 green on turn 2 to be able to curve from Inquisition of Kozilek/Thoughtseize to Grim Flayer/Tarmogoyf to Liliana of the Veil/Lingering Souls with very minimal pain from our lands.
About Concealed Courtyard... Isn't Blooming Marsh only better if you're running Noble Hierarch? I think in a list without Hierarchs I would rather have a perfect ratio of manasources instead of just running Blooming Marsh because I don't need white mana on turn one.
Nah, in general, we want to be hitting black and green those first two turns,
whether it's for bobs, discards, pushes, collectives, Goyfs
White isn't the mana I want to see in this deck until turn 3, unless I need to kill something immediately, like if Bob was played against me and path was my only removal
I'm not sure why the people on this thread are resistant to 4 Bloom marshes, this card has absolutely helped breathe life into this deck
I've tested with at least 30 games, the 4 blooms and 3/3/3 split has been fantastic, in both Hierarch builds and siege rhino builds
I've Spent the last couple of days playtesting the hell out of this, and i think i'll be playing it over any of the 3 color BGx variants, as it is incredibly consistent, and the addition of ghost quarters + sb allows me to have actual chances at beating tron pre and post board. I might end up dropping 1-2 cards from the mb to play ratchet bombs, as i've been playing a split of 2 disfigure/2 ratchet bomb until push is released and the bomb does a great job of being a mb answer to decks that go wide as well as growing goyf. The only card i'm interested in splashing white for is lingering souls, as that card is the truth against so many decks.
Look at the card. Now back to Jace. Now back to that card, now back to Jace! Sadly, it isn't Jace, but if it stopped being a junk rare and became relevant, it could act like it's Jace. Crack some Worldwake. What do you have? You have a Jace, the card you wish this card could be like. Look again. THE CARD IS NOW A $75 BILL. Anything possible when you play Magic with Jace and not junk rares. This is probably spam.
This deck looks pretty fun indeed. I might give it a try atlthough I prefer the luxury of additional color.
The main draw for me is the consistency and the option to run 3 GQ, and 4 + crucible post board. Playtesting against GB Tron last night made me realize that I had whopping 10 cards to bring in against them, and I won 3-1 against it post board. Of course that's a very limited sample size so more testing is required, but the initial results have been very promising for the tron matchup. I'm slightly tempted to splash white solely for lingering souls, which would help immensely with the affinity/infect and grindy games, but not sure what I would drop.

I haven't played many games against the other GBx decks yet (at least not w/ the fatal push changes, still running 2 disfigure, 1 dismember, 1 ratchet bomb in the meantime), but it seems to perform on the same level as jund, but does not give a ***** about ravines considering the mb GQ. I do believe that my sb plan is much better with the amount of land hate packed into it for the grindy matchups. Lingering souls is, of course, annoying to deal with and is the main motivation for potentially splashing for it (considering how little i would have to commit to the splash, due to the ability to discard it to lilly/brutality and cast via flashback).
Thrun is a very real possibility for the sb, and I believe was in there initially. BB seems interesting, and could be great against grindy matchups, but i wonder if it would lead to too much lifeloss w/ the addition of bob in the deck. Both of those will likely depend on how the meta shapes up.
I have to say, bringing in Crucible, GQ, 3x Fulm, Extraction, 2 pithing needles, and 2 duress against tron was hilarious. I didn't realize how much hate i had for that matchup and it made a huge difference. discard/needle(naming exp map) into fulm/GQ goes pretty far. GQ > extract tron land was immediately gg the moment i did it. Of course crucible > GQ is insta game as well if they don't have natures's claim on the spot (save crucible for t4 w/ GQ already in play so you can hit them 2x in one turn and clear their basic).
My current iteration seems to have about the same success against bant eldrazi as jund, and is overally probably about the same, though GQ helps prevent t2-3 TKS.

Changes would be
-3 Noble Hierarch
-1 Blooming Marsh
-1 Abrupt Decay
-1 Maelstrom Pulse
-1 Path to Exile
+1 Godless Shrine
+1 Marsh Flats
+1 Gavony Township
+1 Tasigur, the Golden Fang
+3 Fatal Push
With Hierarchs gone, I might swap out the Flayers with something else. We'll see how they fare without exalted. I'll still keep the rhinos since they're amazing and still gain value even if they get killed immediately. (It's not like they weren't Pathed before). We'll see how things go once the meta settles down.
edit, I'll actually probably try these changes first since they're less drastic
-1 Grim Flayer
-1 Path to Exile
-1 Abrupt Decay
-1 Maelstrom Pulse
+1 Tasigur, the Golden Fang
+3 Fatal Push
I'll probably try this list first and go from there since it's less drastic. See if Hierarchs + Flayers + Rhinos are still viable in a meta with Pushes. Maybe I'll have to cut a Blooming Marsh for another fetchland just to enable Pushes.
I still prefer version without Noble Hierarch and with more threats or removal. Tasigur will come back, I'm not very happy about playing him since GBx has better options but with Fatal Push he's more appealing to play.
I do also like non Hierach versions more. But actually, I am looking forward to playing Tasigur again, he is amazing for grinding opponents out and can come down very early. I could easily see decklists running up to 3 copies MB because of this. On the other hand, maybe its not right to completely shove Rhino. It can get Pushed, which would be a bummer, but enabling Revolt isn't that easy, as we basically all agreed on. We can't just assume that all of the 4 drops we play in the future will get Pushed 100 %, which certainly won't be true. Maybe a good mix of Tasigurs and Rhinos could still be a great creature base because of this.
Opening hands can be worse, the deck mulligans significantly worse, and topdecking a noble with no threats and removal is an awful feeling.
I definitely think Tasigur comes back as a 1 or 2 of in Junk, maybe even a 1 of with Jund. Siege Rhino becomes significantly worse, and Kalitas gets worse if dredge dies down and midrange becomes more prevalent (Kalitas isn't that great in a midrange or control matchup anyway).
I was playing GBx rock last night, it wasn't bad. I didn't play enough games yet to come up with an opinion. The mana was definitely consistent though, and Ooze was definitely performing better.
I played against a company deck that annihilated me with Tireless tracker though, I saw like no removal those three games and had to grind out the second win.
Beat BW tokens and Junk in the practice rooms with that list though. Beat something else too but don't remember what it was. I replaced some cards with go for the throat and Victim of Night as a bad replacement since push isn't out
Thought about it more, I'm not really sure bitterblossom should go in the list.
You can run 1 colourless land for sure, but I personally wouldn't run a second one. I guess a second colorless land is on the edge of the possibility so I don't know really. I personally like consistant casting of my spells better than a scarse utility land like QC. If I would run one I'd probably run Gavony Twonship or Vault of the Archangel and no second one.
I would probably start by going for a 2/2 split on Rhino and Tasigur. I have always liked Tasigur in Abzan, and I think due to the new removal he just gets better to a certain extend. I would also run a playset of Flayers I think, but its hard to fit all of these into the deck. The reason being though, that I think we should not let us discourage to play valuable 2 drops. Grim Flayer will certainly die to Push in the Future, but if they don't have it, Flayer will generate us massive value. If I can, I want to run 4 I think.
If dredge doesn't get banned (what I honestly think), I really like running 1-2 Anafenzas MB. She dodges non revolt Pushes also, and is a decent clock, while being amazing against any GY strategies like Dredge or Goryo's Vengeance.
I would not cut all our 2 drops for 3 drops like Finks or Anafenza. It honestly just weakens your deck and makes it slower. Push is an issue, yeah, but it won't discourage myself to not run my playset of either Bobs or Flayers, if I can.
You are playing a similar version to that I'm playing since summer. You can see my list if you want to go further in that idea. I really think is the best version of bgx before fatal push was printed so now even more.
Hell yeah, and I agree. I'm playing a similar list tonight w/ 2 disfigure, 1 dismember, 1 darkblast in place of the fatals tonight. We'll see how that goes, but i'm interested in what you have put together for sure. I'm most impressed by my tron matchup post board. Seems very in my favor.
Opening hands can be worse, the deck mulligans significantly worse, and topdecking a noble with no threats and removal is an awful feeling.

yeah I don't feel like bitterblossom is necessary in the build. Funny you mention tireless tracker though, since I'm running him as a 2 of in my latest build. Here's my updated list:
I'm debating on dropping a Blooming marsh for an Urborg, as that's what I'm running on my paper list, and it's great when I have multiple ghost quarters in play, or trying to save life against burn by not cracking fetches. It also allows me to use fetches for mana while saving the crack for a fatal push.
Thrun is a meta call, as there are a bunch of midrange/control decks locally, but he's mean enough that he's probably worth it in most metas too.

I was thinking of how push will change our deck. We all see to agree on the new spell split and that fulminator doesn't actually help, but we haven't found a new creature base. I was thinking of:
I was thinking of this list if flayer dying to push doesn't become that common and if dredge gets a ban. If it doesn't I have considered going down to two flayers or two rhinos and adding a Kalitas or an Anafenza. Kalitas is not good vs midrange but with push his far easier to trigger.
Is there a possibility to cut both flayer and Bob for Finks or sth else?
Can we also run 2 colorless utility lands? So far i am running both GQ and Gavony and i have 0 problems.
Gavony seems crazy in a grindy meta
Hell no, I would always run Bob/Flayer in Company. These cards are absolute beatings if you can't answer them.
Kitchen Finks was probably my most used SB card in Jund and Abzan, but that card sucks when I need to race or play a non-interactive deck.
I think 3 Scoozes is a lot worse in this deck, path is partially to blame for that. Goyf is also worse in the early game because of path, maybe push will change that.
I wouldn't really suggest running 2 colorless lands, but you can. When Siege Rhino came out, I think most decks were using 2 utility lands
Kalitas is not good in this deck, that's a jund card.
I'm not sure how Rhino's will play out with push, I'm not enthusiastic about it though. I'll probably pack 2x Gideons or 1x Gideon and 1x Elspeth for that big drop in the midrange matches.
Thrun is a meta call, and I wouldn't take it to an open event. The Lily swap has just been better for me as a mb plan all around, scooze isn't great against the decks i was having issues with (infect, swapped him out for removal that hits nexus). The only debatable change so far I would say is the trackers, but it's just something I'm playing around w/ on cockatrice. Admittedly, they are in a flex spot, and I might end up running tasigur/ewitt tonight, though I'm also interested in running a pair of coursers, as they work well with bob + fetches, but I'm trying to avoid double green on mana costs to avoid issues w/ ghost quarter.
