Also got to playtest with an RIX-updated UG Merfolk list with that new 2-drop lord as well as Cocos after the event. I got rekt by all the unblockable fish.....
I play a weird version of Blue Eldrazi Tron but my creatures include a set of Conduit of Ruin and 2 Newlamogs as my top end. Works out real well for me, though my meta is very midrangy so it works out more often than not.

Hi! Would you like sharing the list? I play in a rather mid-rangy meta as well and this approach seems interesting!
Thanks in advance!
Hello fellow Etron players! I am a high school student that recently picked up the deck through trading, and I am about to take it to my second IQ on the 11th. I only run 3 chalice of the void as that is all I can afford, but most everything else is pretty stock. The metagame at the game store has lots of abzan midrange, with about 1-2 copies of other tier one and tier two decks. My list can be found here: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/870110#paper . I was wondering if there are any glaring mistakes that pop out to you with my list, and what I could do to fix them. Finally, does anyone have any real guide for sideboarding with the deck? I find it hard to determine when chalices stay in and out, as well as what to take out in matchups. Finding what to put in is rather easy. Thanks in advance for the help!

Other than the Chalice you already mentioned, getting Cavern(s) to help beat down through blue sideboard counterspells should be a high priority pickup. It changes how you get to play the matchup and gives us a large advantage against, say, Jeskai Control and Grixis Shadow. Most of the pro tour lists from this weekend even ran 2 copies instead of 1.
One thing I can suggest is not having so many dismembers maindeck. Especially if you're seeing a lot of Goyf decks, I think a Basilisk Collar maindeck and 2 dismembers would be better for you, you get to wipe their board with pings from Collar and Bringer and they have next to no answers to collar pre-sideboard. The third copy of dismember is often in the sideboard, to be brought in against the mirror where 4/4's and 5/5s are aplenty, and storm where we can afford the -4 life loss if it means we kill their Baral or Electromancer.
Since you have a manabase that has 4x Quarter and 3x Wastes, it seems a perfect candidate for dropping 1 ghost quarter for 1 copy of Field of Ruin. There are more than a handful of times where it would be a preferred target from a mid-game expedition map tutor, but mosts lists can't afford to trim Quarters any further than they already do to accommodate Cavern of Souls.
As far as sideboarding guides go, you can find quite a few matchups done in articles written by pros, and I am a big advocate for learning as many decklists in modern as possible other than the one you're currently piloting (especially the cards they use to win in maindeck/signature cards of the deck, know their sideboard cards and plans so you can sideboard around it (i.e. don't side into an absurd amount of artifacts into a Stony Silence), and as far as chalice goes literally count their number of 1 and 2-cost cards maindeck. If they have something around 14 or more of the same cost, chalice becomes better and better the more they have. Some decks have 20+ of 1 or 2-cost and those are the ones you not only want to keep it in post-board, but try to have it in the opening hand as well as other early game plays to curve out well. Some obvious times to side it out are decks that use Aether Vial and/r lots of Cavern of Souls, like Merfolk, Elves, Humans, and Taxes decks. Always keep in mind when you're bringing in a lot of 1-cost sideboard cards, like a bunch of relics and cages, or pithings and Gut Shots, that you take out chalice unless it is REALLY good against your opponent. Also keep in mind for times when double chalice in the opening hand is the nuts, such as against Grixis Shadow and Lantern, which both have T1 discard potential on the first chalice copy and both have an absurd number of cards that cost 1 mana.
I would suggest going through the new decklists from this weekends pro-tour both on mtggoldfish - modern metagame webpage and on this reddit link of people that did well in the modern portion of the tournament. Create a written or mental in/out plan for as much of a percentage of the meta as you can, and in doing so you'll have to look at as many 75's of decks seeing play in the format. Never take anyone else's sideboard guide/suggestions as fact, and be ready to deviate from your predetermined sideboard plans when an opponent pulls out some spicy tech.
So I had mentioned previously I'd like to look at putting [mana]g[mana] into E-Tron to try seeing how good Ancient Stirrings would be. This obviously takes it a bit further adding in cards like Birds and Hierarch to try and speed out Eldrazi. I thought it was an interesting list that at least deserved a bit of a shot-out

quick question how do you guys deal with storm? i presumed that Thorn of Amethyst would be a SB staple but looking at your list i haven't seen it once or even mentioned in the primer, is there an interaction im not seeing that deals with this matchup?
Chalice on 2 will completely destroy a storm player and prevent them from going off- the main issue here is getting to turn 4 (or turn 3 with mindstone)- you may have to cast it on 1 if you can't interact with their baral or electromancer. Chalice on 1 is decent as it prevents them from cantripping but it's much better to stop their rituals. Killing baral and electromancer with dismember is high priority. Relic of Progenitus and grafdigger's cage slow them from going off- crack relic in response to past in flames is usually very good. It's definitely not a great matchup for us overall- but it is not impossible to win either. If they go off and then use empty the warrens you can kill their tokens with all is dust- although this is much less common. Being on the play vs. on the draw is usually a huge deal vs. storm- pray you win the die roll.
Karn has actually done very little in the games, although he is of high perceived value by opponents (Humans, Lantern Control). Perhaps he could be removed in favor of other things.
Wurmcoil Engine was the MVP in some games against creature decks that went longer, such as Merfolk or Humans.
Chalice was absolutely necessary to defeat Lantern Control and a few other decks such as Burn.
Basilisk Collar is amazing in the mirror and against other creature decks, it is basically our best removal spell on a Ballista or Endbringer. I would always keep two copies within my 75 cards.
Spatial Contortion seems also to be needed against the many creature decks running around these days.
I was not very impressed with Grafdigger's Cage. Maybe I would instead include a single Crucible of Worlds to protect our lands.
Surgical Extraction is very useful in certain matches such as against Tron, Lantern, Grixis Shadow and BR Hollow One.
I also play Burn and Tron- however, Eldrazi Tron has a more balanced game than both and seems to offer fairer chances of winning more matches. On the other hand, the sideboard feels quite weak and I hope that we can find some better cards in due course.

Agreed and its why I run a 2/1 split main/sideboard. Its removal 95% of the time but the flexibility of pump for the final damage makes it more useful. Kind of like modal spells.

What do you think about Azor's gateway? I had see decks with one Azor's Gateway the main with Batterskull, a lot of mana for the Ballista
WAAAAAYYYYYY too slow. It takes 5 turns just to ditch enough cards to activate it. Let alone you aren't casting it until turn 2, so turn 7 you get the mana? Then it is ripping apart your own hand by Thoughseizing it basically every turn. No thank you. Leave it in the binder, its garbage.

I'm thinking of playing 2 Ratchet Bombs main instead of 2 Warping Wail. Bomb seems alot better against all those Human decks, UW Control and Lantern as well. What do you think?
If your meta has those decks, I'd say it sounds like a safe play. I'd keep the Wails in the side though.

So what are the thoughts on playing a singleton of Rogue's Passage and perhaps a Mage-Ring Network in the deck? Good tutor targets for expedition map when its not in the cards to go the tron route. Mage Ring lets you store mana to possibly get a turn earlier to some of the heavier stuff, and Rogue's Passage gets passed an aggro standoff, and possibly lets you finish with an unblocked Ulamog.

I'd rather get eldrazi temple? Both of those cards are just really low power level overall- sea gate, sanctum of ugin, cavern of souls, ghost quarter, buried ruin are all better tech land choices.

Mage Ring Network is again WAY too slow. Its beyond bad, leave it in the binder. I've thought about Rogue's Passage before but really I don't want to be tying up basically 5 mana when I'm on the attack. If you just have to try utility land and you need to scratch the itch go with Mcnealstash recommendations above or maybe try a one of man-land like Mutavault, Blinkmoth Nexus, Westvale Abbey or Dread Statuary. Good luck.

Ive thought about Westvale Abbey. Just to make a blocker at instant speed if needed. Is there ever a case where you would sacrifice your Eldrazi along with the Clerics to flip it? I'm guessing if you ever have a ground stand off (why I recommended Rogue's Passage) then its nice to get it through the air.
