It's a real bummer that Redcap costs four, but the reason I run him is because generally infinite damage is better than infinite life. As you said, Twin doesn't care about life, and neither does infect. But the my both do care about damage.
Yeah, I might add him to the SB and bring him in for those match ups.

I like the idea of Redcap in the side for Twin and Infect. You could side out a few Ascendants for it. I really like Mirithindor's deck list, but right now I'm trying to prove the idea works, which I why I am shying away from a tool box midrange deck, that can also combo out. Pod was able to do that because of Pod, and I'm just not sure Collected Company will allow for the same amount of flexibility.
There is another combo with Blasting Station and Kitchen Finks. I tried to build a deck similar to this when Pod was legal, but I think it could work now even with this shell. Splash blue of course
Varolz, the Scar-Striped is an interesting sacrifice outlet:
- it's green, so it works with summoner's pact (unlike seer or aristocrat)
- it can have some impact on the board (unlike seer or aristocrat)
- it can place +1/+1 counters on creatures which can act as pseudo-melira-anafenza in a time of need (unlike seer or aristocrat)
- it does not die to damage (same as aristocrat)
- it works with collected company (same as seer and aristocrat)
- it costs 3 ... :-(
For builds with summoner's pact I think it could be good as 1-of searchable target.
So far I like having Varolz as a pact target. It's a 7th sac outlet, and ups me to a virtual 12 sac outlets. I should never have an issue finding one of them. So far my deck has proven to be incredibly resistant to discard because of this decks ability to recover quickly. I've started running a few soul sisters in the side for the twin match up. They hate me and I know it.
Soul Sisters in the side probably aren't optimal for a couple of reasons. If they twin pestermite, it has two power, so you would need at least two sisters out to not die.
It would be much better to run Suture Priest against them to kill them when they make all their tokens - assuming that they can't just bring themselves to 1 health and still kill you. Suture priest is also targetable by collected company.
But if you are still convinced to run sisters in the side instead, it's probably best to run Essence Warden since she is green - and this targetable by Summoner's Pact.
What about congregation at dawn plus collected company? 2 card combo. Melira/Anafenza + Finks + viscera seer/varolz. If you have suture priest or murderous redcap you can also have the infinite damage combo (the redcap is the only non-fetchable card of combo).
That's an interesting deck Dizzy.
Basically the midrange version of this - just like UW Twin has an all-out and a midrange version.
Yeah. Think Scooze is a decent card pick, but it might be a little too slow for the combo deck. Yixlid Jailer works quicker. So I expect scooze will work best in the midrange while jailer will work best for the combo.
Of course there's probably some even better creature that I'm missing.
I've whipped up the first post into a Primer thread now that I have a computer again and can type things on a full keyboard instead of my phone or iPad.
As for Rhino and Resto... I think they belong in a more mid-range build, not in the balls-to-the-walls combo version.

as of right now i think this deck is way too weak. i just playtested it and realized that not a single card except for finks has a card quality high enough to be played in modern.
also there is no synergy whatsoever between all the other cards in the deck so if you dont have a finks to sacrifice the deck does not function.
i wouldnt recommend any 4cc or higher card in the deck if you play collected company. i just bricked twice in two games, one time revealing the archangel.
Additional Cards i would suggest (for individual powerlevel and synergy with collected company):
Which version of the deck are you running? Mine doesn't do too bad finding finks as I run a few Summoner's Pacts along side collected company to tutor for a finks should I need to. Along side my minimal disruption, I haven't had to much of an issue. I would stay away from the other persist creatures, they don't add anything to our game plan, alive or dead. I do like the addition of Bob, as nearly all of the deck is (or should be) under three mana.
I'm currently updating the first post. I've decided to cut the Git Probes for 3 Chords. That lets me cut the blue from the mana base so it should improve things!

Collected Company is seemingly awesome. If your creatures are mainly 3 and under, I'd run 4.
That list looks much more like something I can get behind.
Voice is so good with Company too.

Alright, I'm trying to decide on graveyard hate now. In the sideboard, should I have a couple Yixlid Jailer or a couple Scavenging Ooze?
Thoughts?
