in a format where we have far less versatile answers to the amount of versatile threats, I still think anguished unmaking is underrated. I really don't like being caught with my pants down at a GP when some deck I've never seen before in round 2 suddenly throws out a blood moon or a thundermaw hellkite or a Gideon Jura I wasn't expecting and I don't have an answer despite even having a tarmogoyf in play or something. For now I've put a single pulse in the main, as I find that I don't really need something like anguished unmaking for my most difficult matchups, but personally I will certainly be glad to put one in the board if there's space.
I'm pretty sure no mainstream decklists are cutting Pulses
It's been done in the past in some metas that didn't support it, but it is one of my favorite cards and I would hate to have to submit a list that doesn't have maelstrom pulse in it.
Kitchen Finks or Blessed Alliance in the Sideboard?
Also how many copies of collective brutality in the 75?
(Are 3 too much?)
Finks is very good. Its useful in a lot of matchups.

Hey guys. I just had a quick question about sideboard tech.
I'm having a hell of time beating Tron. It's very prevalent in my meta. Stony Silece helps but when they drop Karn it's a pretty deep hole to dig my self out of. So my question, is it worth it to run a couple of Anguished Unmaking in the board for that match up? I feel like it's not that linear because there are other decks it might be good against as well.
Thanks
You need 3-4 Fulminator Mages in your sideboard. Fulminator mage is extremely good against alot of decks like Grixis (and blue control in general), Scapeshift and tron. Tron is a bad matchup and trying to "control" the tron plauer by answering their threats is not the right way to go

In builds without Noble Hierarch, has anybody thought about running mainboard Languish alongside 4 Tarmogoyf, 4 Siege Rhino, and like 2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang? There are a lot of small creature decks at my lgs, and I feel like I board in Damnation every game and just loose my entire board when I could just play something along the lines of Anger of the Gods and have a better outcome. Having 10, 5-toughness creatures alongside Languish feels super powerful. I've never seen a deck do this and I'm curious as to why, has anybody tried it?

Before Eldrazi Winter, some Abzan lists (including myself) did run Languish over Damnation for that very reason. However, Reality Smasher got printed and you couldnt afford not hitting that and Drowner of Hope. Things havent changed since Eldrazi is still a deck and you still want to hit opposing goyfs and death shadows.
That being said, if your meta has literally no >4 toughness creatures, then go for it. Definitely adapt to your meta. Just be wary when you do play vs those decks that have bigger guys than ours.
I'm currently a titanshift player, but have always dreamed of playing a BGx deck and am really interested in building abzan, and with the new reprints I figured it would be a good time to pick up a bunch of the pieces in a couple months. The only issue is that I'm on a kinda small budget so I can't really afford to get the lilis or goyfs. So I was wondering if I should buy all the other reprints in a couple months and buy the rest of the cards needed to make one of the wilt-leaf liege abzan decks that I can slowly upgrade or if it would be better to just buy the cards I can and hold on to them until I can get the rest?

Tarmogoyf is really down in price but Liliana of the Veil doesn't seem to have dropped that much but I could be wrong about that. I don't doubt that there prices will creep back up. If you can swing a few of them now, you'll probably save money in the long run. They may drop just a bit more before Modern Masters is sold out.

My advice is to snag the LOTV's as soon as possible, I'm skeptical of those staying low. She's one of the best planeswalkers ever printed in all three formats.
My advice is not to buy wilt-leaf liege pieces, it's honestly a bad deck, I can't think of one single thing it does better than Bant Eldrazi, and it's just bad against unfair decks
My advice is save your money and slowly buy the big money pieces first
Prioritize in LOTV, then Goyf, Verdant Catacombs, Dark Confidant, rest of the land base. Once you buy Goyf and LOTV pieces you're already too committed and your wallet won't feel so awful
hows you games vs grixis control? i am having quite some trouble sticking something into play, they grind us way to well. might be doing something wrong but its quite a struggle
Hey guys! How you're dealing matchups against Eldrazi Tron? My meta is kind of getting flooded with those and I'm having a hard time dealing with them!
I'm currently running a build without noble hierarch.
