Does anyone have any tips for dealing with Jeskai Control?
Whats your deck and sideboard look like?
Signal Pest and Etched Champion are mvps here
I'm currently playing a pretty standard-looking list. Although, I feel like something may be wrong with it. Blessed Alliance is pretty rough toward Etched Champion.
I feel like they mainly win out of raw card advantage while picking off our threats. There's a heavy control presence at my meta so I'm thinking of playing this in an attempt to get more steam:
What do you think? I also want to test out Bomat Courier, the haste seems pretty relevant when we come up against decks that kill our creatures on sight.
I'm reciting those lists from memory and it seems like I've missed a few cards. Can't think of them offhand. Shall check my deck again and update them tonight [Fixed]

Etched Champion and Aether Grid are solid, especially once they drop stony silence.
How many Aether Grids would you recommend running in the sideboard? I run 1 and I've only ever managed to get it out once against Grixis Control but they killed me before it could make much of an impact.
I'm been seeing that some Affinity lists lately has been including Walking Ballista as a one or two of. What do you all think about Walking Ballista in the 75 as an option?
Also, I see everyone is running Pia's Revolution in sideboard as well because with Arcbound Ravager, it gets very dumb very quickly.
Walking Ballista seems to compete for the same role as Ghirapur Æther Grid. Ballista is an artifact and a creature and these are sometimes advantages and sometimes disadvantages. Balista does have that magic-christmasland synergy with Arcbound Ravager.
I'm still of the opinion that Grid is better. If a Balista ever falls in my lap, I may well test it. I'm not going to buy one to test it.
Never tested it, and I'm not sure if it is a win-more. The meta is nowadays more about attrition, which seems like Champion should be main deck instead of Master of Etherium; I also advocate Thoughtcast for attrition.
Does anyone have any tips for dealing with Jeskai Control?
As it's one of my favorite to play, I can say the best way to win is patience. Jeskai wants you to get into topdeck mode and kill you with Collonade, Elspeth, or Gideon.
Try to get them to spend removal on your weaker stuff like ornithopter, and like the other guys said land etched champion and plating if they tap out. You want to get the Path to Exiles out of their hand with pest/ornithopter/memnite early, so later you can commit to saving things from bolt/helix with ravager.
Your 2 ways to close out Ws are either inkmoth or etched champion. Lightning helix and commonly an ajani vengeant will put them outside of easy/fast kill range, so be very, very protective of your inkmoths and platings. If they stick a planeswalker, ignore it. You don't have the luxury of 1 for 1 trades, you got to go for the dome if possible.
Spell pierce or thoughtseize can be just enough to clear the way for your gameplan from the sideboard. They never seem to expect affinity to counter their spell or pick at their hand, so they usually keep greedy ones.
I've been seeing that many Affinity pilots now days are teching in Metallic Rebuke instead of Spell Pierce. The thing is that Metallic Rebuke can hit creature spells if need be while Spell Pierce is unable to. Metallic Rebuke is essentially 1 CMC like Spell Pierce but thanks to the Improvise mechanic (similar to original Affinity mechanic).
Thanks for the responses! It's super helpful. 2 more
Thoughts on blossoming defense?
Blood moon, is it worth messing up our manlands?
Bloodmoon has been fantastic for me. Most opponents dont expect it and it csn really blow out your opponent while we can still usually play everything in our deck
Thinking about getting back into Modern. How does affinity do vs death shadow jund?
Death's Shadow Jund is really fast at times but the best thing we have against them is fliers. and the fact that we are quite fast against them as well. They do have sideboard answers to Affinity bad we are still quite fast for them to keep up.
I've just smashed a Grixis Shadow opponent right now, two easy games ended in turn 4 and 3 respectively.
Anyway, I'm back now at home, I've played my Monday Magic night at my LGS and finished 2-2. Won against Cheeri0s and Abzan, lost against Jund and RUG Scapeshift.
Did some changement to the list, going 4x Steel Overseer and 1x Spire of Industry instead of 1x Galvanic Blast and 1x Glimmervoid
G1 vs Cheeri0s 2-1
G1 I just rolled my eyes when I've seen Sram, but I've unexpectedly managed to win thanks to a fast and wide army, pumped with Steel Overseer. He used to draw, draw and did nothing, probably didn't find the Retract
G2, Cheeri0s did Cheeri0s, winning on turn3 and I didn't find any removal at all.
G3, mulligan'd to 6 because of an ALL colored cards hand, I've kept a two lander, Galvanic Blast and Whipflare plus two creatures hand. I scried for a Plating, I didn't remember what the two other cards were but Plating was enough to kill him, alongside my two removals, allowing him to do nothing at all.
G2 vs Jund 0-2
G1, got smashed with the obvious Turn1 IoK for my Champion, then he just played Goyf, plus removals for days.
G2, same start but for a Master, the rest went the same way as G1.
G3 vs Abzan 2-1
G1, the exactly same start of G1 Jund (Blooming Marsh, Inquisition of Kozilek, take your Etched Champion). He won thanks to multiple Lingering Souls and Decays. Nothing I could do.
G2, I won thanks to a wide army, a Plating and a final attack, keeping BB for instaequipping my Plating to an Ornithopter, dodging his Path for my Skirge.
G3, T2 Stony Silence and he got some removals, but I managed to grind him out with Master of Etherium, Vault Skirge, multiple Nexuses and a later Champion joining the party and attacking each turn, while the rest of the board was stalled by Goyfs, 4 Souls (I had Two skirges and 2 Ornithopters), Hierarch and Flayer. Then I drew another Champion in the final stage of the game, and it was an overkill.
G4 vs Scapeshift 1-2
G1, t4 kill with a Plating.
He won G2 and G3 in the same way. Prismatic Omen plus Scapeshift on 6 lands, tempoing me out.
Overall a quite solid night, although I keep finding my BGx and URx matchups nearly impossible to win, since half or more of their deck is great against me. I was considering a pair of Hangarback Walkers to fight them, since the card is great, but cutting cards in Affinity is extremely hard to do...
Also, I've ran Stubborn Denial in the SB just because I'm waiting for my second Ghirapur Æther Grid.
The meta in my LGS is too damn hostile anyway. 85% is grindy, with Grixis variants, Jund, Abzan, Company and Shadow everywhere. Two guys play that stupid Lantern deck, and two play Tron variants. A couple plays Scapeshift, and the rest (very few) plays Dredge, 8Rack, Burn or Taxes decks. I think I'll hold on playing Affinity there, and I'll sleeve my Scapeshift deck instead, although that's not even nearly as fun as Affinity, but I really can't go on a suicide Modern session everytime
I run the exact same main deck with the exception of I swap out the 3rd Etched Champion for a 2nd MoE. I run 2 more of the Etched and 2 more of the MoE in the sideboard. Run 4 MoE in mirror and colorless eldrazi and 4 Etched Champions vs the rest.

I don't particularly like MoE in my meta for the reasons I've said.
Also, I am almost never happy to see Blasts in my hand and I often side them out, and I much Prefer Thoughtcast. Maybe that is a flex spot for two Hangarback Walkers...
What are your thoughts on Glint-Nest Crane? I've seen people running 4 lately, but maybe just 2 in place of the Blasts.

Master of Etherium is still a beast, I do still play three main-deck and I have no plans to change that. In grindy match-ups, I usually side-out Steel Overseer for Etched Champion.

Etched Champion is definitely worth being mainboard rather than Master of Etherium.
