The tooth and nail build is a greendevotion with emrakul and the GR god finish. Also runs finks and kotr.
I would like to keep 2 gy hate pieces in the sb, 2nd seed (opposite bracket) plays next level abzan and ub mill, possibility of anafenza coco in 2nd bracket as well.
So 3 sb slots would be taken for 2 gy hate and eldrazi shuffle or similar effect.
My biggest concern is keeping speed against tron while keeping the resiliency against twin. Illness in the ranks might be a good call as he runs the 1 of stomping grounds for ancient grudge and i expect he'll have more next time.
How should I make the champion/moe splitt for these matchups? Is it worth considering days or ensoul builds against this meta?
2 spellskit main is probably right, but what about welding jar?
Had been out of touch with this deck for a while (before M15 came out). Which cards are must haves since then? What cards do you need to take out? I'm mainly looking at Ensoul Artifact, Hangarback Walker and Day's Undoing. Also what's the deal with Ghirapur Aether Grid? For reference my MB:
You can run 3 champion 2 MoE split or 3 champion 1 MoE split, neither is wrong. If you are expecting more stony silence, 3-2 split will be better. If you are expecting abzan coco, torpor orb will still be good. Keep welding jar, it is useful against ancient grudge. Board it out when you expect stony silence.
Against tron, thoughtseize and spell pierce will be best against them. Try to win via infect.
Ensoul is strong but not a good sb card and potentially put you at being 2 for 1 by others. Based on your meta, you can consider it but it is ok not to play it. But if you run more MoE and ensoul, consider stubborn denial instead of spell pierce. Both have pro and con.
Blast are mainly for twin and maybe to the face. Ensoul is strong but if grixis is popular in your meta, run spellskite main instead because of kolaghan's command. Aether grid is useful in mirror, infect, abzan and some delver build. When ppl bring in stony silence, you can use your artifacts for aether grid.usually you will win bgx deck quite fast that you are not concern about their beat stick. If you are concern, you might be losing.
I have not test on hangarback, therefore no comment in that.
I've noticed a lot of people are playing Ghirapur Æther Grid in the side. How is that card been playing for you guys? What do you side it in against? I'm guessing Infect and the Mirror but is there anything else?
I think it's narrow, but it's great enough to include. It's awesome against the mirror and Infect in particular as well as fringe decks like BW Tokens, and it also kills Lingering Souls tokens from whatever decks run those (Junk primarily in my experience). I haven't even mentioned the best part about it, though: it makes all your permanents not potato against Stony Silence.

I had good success with Day's Undoing and the other Affinity player at the local store has copied that tech.
Ensoul Artifact had won games for me in the past, but they got swapped for Day's.
I have been playing the Aether Grid in my sideboard(2) and I like it against the decks it is already good against AND control decks (grixis/UWR). Allows you to be on another game plan while being aggressive. I personally recommend playing 3 EC/2 MoE because both do separate things for the bigger creatures we face. EC is great against the majority of the decks in modern and will win games on its won. MoE is great against control and slow-ish decks. I also still think Hangarback Walker is the real deal in this deck because if it resolves, it can take over a game. I do think that if twin is not dominant in your meta, then -1 Galv, +1 Thoughtcast.
For the Bloom matchup, just play a ton of threats before they can assemble. Get the most out of your dudes and manlands. Out of sideboard: Spell Pierce, Thoughtseize, Spellskite, and Ancient Grudge are the best cards to play. I play dispatch instead of dismember, so that also helps.
@Baron : yeah the mega-land-flood against esper was a disaster ^^ the problem with EC was that he always got a Verdict in hand because of all the draw spells he has so EC kinda looked like a 2/2 vanilla... Steel Overseer is a card I used to dislike, until I changed my plans with it: most of the time I drop it while I have a huge threat in hand (plating or ravager). Your opponent cannot let Overseer resolve and not deal with it, otherwise he'll die in a few turns, so he will waste his removal/counterspells on overseer instead of your major threats! It's a very good lightning rod that allows you to play around heavy removal. I never lost a match after having kept an overseer alive for a few turns. With Ravager it comboes like hell too ^^
Concerning Big Abzan, what would be your SB strategy? (I don't run Dismember but I might get one soon for my Delver)
I always refer to my Steel Overseers as a removal check. His job is to be our worst of the payoff cards in the deck (EC/Master, Plating, Ravager) while still being a big enough threat that he MUST be answered ASAP. This is part of the reason I got mine altered to have them getting hit by a lightning bolt. When I had a welding jar main it always felt dirty to play a Jar + Overseer turn one, but alas the jar is out of the deck these days.
Hi, i have trouble facing uwr midrange deck, the one with lightning bolt, helix, pte, snapy, etc. The always handle my important creatures, and after sb, they have stony. Any idea to beat heavy control deck like that?
Wow that is a great way to describe overseer. I have been continually cutting him but now I feel like I can bump the number up to three without feeling guilty

Thoughts on this sideboard, Any matchup im neglecting?
Depends on your other 60 cards. It's never a good idea to think of your deck as 60 cards + 15 other cards. You want the whole 75 to work together as a unit. That being said it looks close to what I run.
Ahh, thanks, somehow I missed it earlier.
I'm not sure if the standard two and three drops are really that great with Day's Undoing, but I'll give it a go when I get bored.
Am I the only one who doesn't find thoughtseize any good in this deck?
I can't get rid of kolaghan's command enough times just to see a snapcaster mage bring it back. The only Modern deck not running main decks of 8 removal spells at least is Tron, and everyone who can possibly do so splashed another color for kolaghan's command as a double removal. Then you got electrolyzes and any of the anger/wrath effects mainboard, and while thoughtseize may get one, they'll remand it just to make you pay your B again and then there's the life it costs. It's literally the worst card to topdeck late game against any deck with blue, and any other deck they dont mind you paying two life to get one card, when they have card advantage already.
A) Did you have the option of taking the Snapcaster? Snapcaster is the number one thoughtseize target every single time (unless of course, they have the combo in hand).
Think Collected Company might work in Affinity? I was just looking over spell costs and if one doesn't use hangarback walker main deck, it might make it easier to find those steel overseers and other drops.

Affinity has no creatures with EtB abilities and really doesn't want four-casting-cost cards anyway. I don't think it's a good fit.

Is blast even a removal option anymore with all the Siege Rhino, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Tarmogoyf and Gurmag Angler running around? I'm keeping it since it can go to the face. Also should I play some Spellskite and Welding Jar mainboard against Jund / Grixis?
