a turn 1 bogle into turn 2 aura is really hard for other decks to beat, especially on the play since in modern, the turn 1 land is almost always a tapped shockland or a fetch into a still tapped shockland
again, it's all about rock, paper scissors.
this deck preys on creatures decks like Pod and have a good matchup against combo decks since we play white and it allows us to put in more hate cards like Stony Silence which completely shuts down Affinity.
This is frankly just being ignorant. People dont complain that expensive things exist, they get annoyed when there are no alternatives to the expensive versions of cards.
Its a card game. People want to play the card game. They arent mad that certain pieces of cardboard are rare and collectable. They get upset when there arent alternative printings that allow them to play the game.
His plan looks to be more beatdown and less resiliency. The maindeck Suppression Fields probably really pulled their weight since with just 1 down, Liliana will have to be played on turn 3 and then activated on turn 4. Perhaps this gives time to cast another "Bogle" to sacrifice.
I personally don't like this version as much. I like my "Aggro" to have some resiliency. The main thing that keeps me from playing Aggro (other than not being as experienced in as I am with other archetypes) is that I fear that I will run out of gas. Kor Spiritdancer helps you get some card advantage and against decks with no creature removal, can do a lot of damage on turn 3.
If I was playing that particular version, I would be scared to mulligan a bunch because the lack of a creature. I would personally go to 4 Ledgewalkers, but what do I know; he placed in a PTQ and I haven't played one this current season.

I keep thinking i dont want to play Kor, but then when i get those moments where it combos off and wins the game for me, i change my mind. I think dropping a turn 2 Kor isnt bad even if they kill it since it basically wastes their turn 2 to do it.
Plus, in games 2/3 Kor might as well be hexproof. A lot of decks side out their removal and a few enchantments on a Kor not only draws you the cards but turn her into a friggin monster so fast.
I prefer the fetches, but have played the non fetch version. Yes, you rely on Suppression Field to slow down Lili and hope to kill her the next turn if you have some trample and the auras pump to do it. EDIT:: Plus, you board in Leyline's after game 1 to stop the hand disruption and Lili.
Round 1 was against Burn and this is such a good match-up for us. I was able to turn 3 a Coronet the first game and that is all you need. Game 2 i didnt get Coronet, but i sided in my Leyline's and Spirit Link, of which i drew both, and again demolished him. I did have to mull to 5 both games, but got excellent 5's.
Round 2 was Delver and this was one of those bitter guys. Both games were pretty close but in game 1 i outraced him and game 2 i landed a lifelink aura, and then it wasnt much of a race anymore. He, of course, called my draws lucky, but they were pretty normal hands. He was able to counter or remand a bunch of spells, so getting anything to stick was dicey, but the right sequence of casting made it work out for me. Sometimes, you just have to sacrifice that Rancor or Ethereal to stick an Unflinching Courage or Coronet.
Round 3 was against Scapeshift and this was another one of those annoying matches where basically everything was counter spelled. I got the first game because i went first and had a crazy double Ethereal double Rancor hand, but he wont the second game by countering everything, cryptic'ing my leyline, then Scapeshifting. The third game i squeaked out. He had a ton of counters, but didnt draw his Shift and i grinded him down through all the blue spells.
Round 4 i lost to a weird BUG deck, but i didnt see what the green was for. I won game one by going first and having a speed hand, but his sideboard was bonkers against our deck. In addition to all the usual annoying blue counter spells, he played Thoughtseize, Kozilak, and Devour Fleshes. Pretty much the perfect combination. Even a leyline isnt safe when he can cryptic bounce it and then Devour flesh you. Cryptic is so broken, i dont care what anyone says.
Not a bad daily. Really wanted to 4-0 and i was very close, but that dudes deck was built to give me hell and it did.

That does not work. LotV +1 does not target so you will still have to discard even with Leyline in play. However it does make you immune to her other two abilities.

That's probably what he meant. Those are the only 2 relevant abilities against you anyway. The "choose to discard" a card doesn't hurt Bogles in the slightest. It's the difference when you get to choose.

I must say, this deck is the one reason why I will play Modern. Every card is beautiful in art, the deck is simple, and it's powerful. I literally would keep the deck for the art alone. I am just wondering, I've seen people play the Dryad Arbor and fetches to get past a Liliana or some other sacrifice effect. Why spend more money on fetches just to stop 1 activation of a sacrifice effect when you can just as easily have Leyline of Sanctity in your sideboard. It builds to your enchantment count as well. That way you can run Suppression Field without being effected.

May want to try a couple of Guttural Responses in board. It really wrecks those Cryptic Commands and gives a much needed push against an opponent delaying our damage while they hit ten ought lands like Scapeshift

Yes, i believe i will finally add gutteral to the board. I lost to 2 scapeshift decks the other day that really drove it home. All 4 games i lost were due to multiple crpytic tapping in a row to delay enough for their combo. You would think that drawing 2 crytpics and a shift, or drawing one cryptic, a snapcaster, and a shift would be an unusual or lucky hand, but they always seem to have it.
It seems pretty decent, but I would consider spending the $24 for the play set of Kor Spiritdancer in the place of Silhana Ledgewalker. If your metagame has everybody running Path to Exile or other targeted removal, you could probably do without the Kor Spiritdancer. Kor Spiritdancer, in addition to giving you gas and having the potential for a HUGE voltron, is a very fun card. Do you know how may times I've played Ethereal Armor drawn another or Rancor, drawn another and played it too? What started as an 0/2 became a 14/14 trampling first striker.

Then it seems like definitely the right choice. I was going to ask if there was a lot of UWR since they are the main deck that plays Path to Exile. I didn't think it would be true. Your list is miles better against UWR than the Spiritdancer one. Either way, you have a pretty good matchup vs. UWR.

It has huge weaknesses to certain cards so it is easy to hate, certain match ups are extremely difficult, but the biggest reason is just how people see the deck. A lot of people deride the deck as just drop a bogle, put auras on it and swing so pros tend to avoid the deck in favor of something more rewarding to their skill.
You hit the nail on the head. While it does have weaknesses to certain cards like Back to Nature, Tempest of Light, Fracturing Gust, Engineered Explosives, and a few others, many of these are not even played at all. At the FNM level, I can understand that there will be that guy who sides in 4 Back to Nature because he lost turn 4 to your big unanswerable dude last FNM. But at the competitive level, people just don't have space in their sideboards for a deck that is less than 5% of the total playing field. Engineered Explosives is played as a 1-2 of in the SBs and does hurt us, but only a few decks have it in their SB.
People don't like these strategies as much and don't seem to think that the deck can be a contender.

3-1d the daily yesterday and my only loss coming from burn. should've been a walk in the park but it's one of those times that i got flooded.
my last opp played UR delver and he was really salty.
he was unable to flip his 2 delvers for 4-5 turns and then said he should've been paired with a real deck on the last round.
i was told im a bad player and im using a bad deck.
i like it when people give these comments since i replied that if im bad, what does it make him since he lost to me
also, i bid him good night and hope he had a good night's sleep knowing he lost to a non interactive deck
end of the day, i was happy since i cashed in the daily and i got to rub with some salty players.

Ever since watching Reid Duke play this deck Ive been wanting to play it but hear how the deck beats itself up alot due to constant mulligans. I want to try to build it none the less but would this be the most viable version?
Since i usually always mull until i get a turn 1 bogle/scout, i'm just not sure what the value of hierarch is, but he obvioulsy killed with it. Do you play a turn 1 hierarch instead and then have access to 3 mana so you can load up that turn 2 bogle with an aura and coronet right away?

You just beat me to this! I was very surprised to see the Noble Hierarch in there as well. It does open more mana and give exalted. While those are good, I'm not sold on the card...but then again the player went 4-0
not only that, the list plays 4 spirit mantles which is a bit too much against a meta with combo decks running around like twin & scapeshift.
heirarch will always die and we lose tempo to it.
yes, it is good if it survives, but what's the probability in that?
i still admire the deck for getting 4-0 and i appreciate it a lot that people are trying to take on new ideas for the deck hoping to improve it and make it perform better

Heirarch works well in known meta, or small events. I am surprised at how many player will leave Heirarch on the table not knowing the power she brings. Good to see this deck still putting up wins.
Gr Tron is becoming the next thing at my LGS. What are some good sideboard cards to go against it? Suppression Field I feel only goes so far before Tron has enough mana to not care.
Main Deck Suppression Fields have been really effective as of late. I know having six fetches and 4 Suppression Fields can backfire on me. I've debated cutting the Mesas and going an extra Thicket, Canopy, and adding a misty (I only own three catacombs)

no fetches and no Kor's. instead, he went for 2 Ledgewalkers in main and can have up to 4 PTE postboard.
