True, but I haven't found living end to be much of a problem. Hold up a counterspell for the inevitable Living End, and you're good. Remand is pretty great against it. If you don't draw into counterspells, then sure, you're screwed, but you're screwed in a lot of matchups that you draw no counterspells in.
I took my Czech Delver deck to another PTQ top-8 in Leipzig (i beat the eventual winner of the PTQ in round 6 too ). Was 8 rounds. Pretty brutal. I crushed the mid-range sort-of-mirror. Ran through Boggles (revenge!), Hatebears (this deck is so overrated), Tarmo-Twin, Scapeshift, UWR mid and Pod. I lost to Twin played Lukas Blohon and I-D'd w. some random Doran deck that made top-8. Lost to Scapeshift in semi's.
Srsly. This list, despite you thinking its not mid-rangey and clunky enough to be in this thread... Is the Balls.
delver died the very same day abrupt decay got printed. the fact you did not encounter any Jund/GB rock decks tells it all, or sort of. unfortunately those decks represent the 60% of the metagame.
No they don't. Looking at MTGO and all major tournaments, it is nowhere near that.

I agree. i just object to it being discussed in this thread instead of the WUR Delver thread.
RIP neuters Snapcaster though, I don't like that in the side. If anything, I think Grafdigger's Cage is better if you want grave hate, since it still prevents pod combos with persist creatures, but also keeps creatures from entering off of pod. It doesn't exile the grave, yeah, but I feel like that's better for Snapcaster. Personally, I've found 2 Stony Silences, 2 Anger of the Gods, and a Wrath of God going in in place of geists and a mana leak works just fine. Wear // Tear seems reasonable, as does Celestial Purge possibly (especially for kiki pod). It's a grindy one, but far from unwinnable.
Grafdigger's Cage also ruins Snapcaster Mage since it doesn't allow spells to be cast from graveyards.

I recognize that the cage doesn't allow that, but given the choice between cage and rip, I think cage is the better choice. If it's removed, you've still got your grave there for snapcaster.
Re: Stony Silence vs pod, the pod player will win if he gets an active pod. Sometimes it is necessary to board in narrow answers for gamebreaking cards.
Re: Living End, you need to play the matchup more my friend. Remands are excellent, but they are not going to save you against an army of fulminators and avalanche riders stone-raining you into oblivion, while constantly being threatened by instant-speed living ends.
@Sasky - True, the land destruction is scary, but I still don't think it's that bad of a matchup. Relic would be fine to side without screwing over your snapcasters.
Yep, I do board out a couple of snapcasters when I bring in RIP.
The upside to RIP is that it also hits storm, jund, and pod harder than relic. The downside is that it doesn't cantrip and makes your snapcasters less valuable.
Costs too much mana for what it does. I kinda like it as a sideboard card or even as a singleton just to make the play if you got it, but usually its either too slow for what you need it to do or its irrelevant. Same with Squelch (in case it comes up).
Okay. And what do you guys have for sideboard? Im playing
4x leyline
3x ethiersworn
3x mindscenor
2x batterskull
3x combust
Now i play against soo much combo and twin.
What is your meta actually consisting of? There's a lot of combo decks. Ad Nauseum, Twin, Living End, Eggs v.3, Raisin' Brand, and Storm are all contenders.
We can play akroma? Thts sweet Lol adnausam pyromancer twin and pod
I'd only recommend her to those playing Restoration Angel. Casting Akroma turn 3 for morph, then blinking her turn 4 with Resto makes her flip. I'm just seeing how she plays, to be honest.

Meant to comment earlier, but your videos are great. Keep them up. I watched your Kiki vids the other day and they were fun.

I object to boarding Stony Silence in against Pod. It only affects 5 cards in their entire deck.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Thank you. I wish I had time to make more.
Also I saw you wearing a Crossfit shirt in one vid. We are the same, you and I. Except you can grow a beard.
Nice!
The body must be made strong to handle powerful magic. I can't take any credit for the beard, it grows itself.

My sideboard is:
3x Stony Silence
3x Relic of Progenitus
2x Wrath of God
2x Celestial Purge
2x Counterflux
1x Akroma, Angel of Fury
1x Wear//Tear
1x Shadow of Doubt
For the grave hate argument, I say either Relic or RIP. Keeping Goyf' within burn range is a must.
