A friend of mine has been playing Zoo recently at Modern FNM.
He consistently wins match-ups vs most decks except Splinter Twin and Pod.
My thought was that if he either sideboarded a couple of Breeding Pools and [c]Pact of Negation[c/]s it may help with the correct mana fixing.
I thought about it because He had said if they go off and he isn't holding a Path to Exile it's gg since Lightning Bolt doesn't kill Deceiver in response to the untap.
Zoo's curve stops at 2 (for the most part) so playing 5 mana spells plus dip into a 4th color is a bad idea I reckon (epecially since Pod comes down T3/T4 and Splinter Twin T4)
I don't think that Pod or the combo is the biggest problem against Pod (Zoo usually kills before any of that matters). Kitchen Finks shenanigans is usually what keeps Zoo at bay. That's why I think that Torpor Orb is the best answer of the 4.

Any other ideas?
Thanks.
