Just pondering, has anyone here pondered about a Junk Knights deck?
Haakon and Knight of the Reliquary?
This has been discussed before back then, partly also because of adding DRS into a knight deck. IMO, both are amazing knights and I could already imagine using Grisly Salvage in such a deck.
Frank Lepore from TCGPlayer played a Modern Knights deck in his deck tech video this week. He played a list that top 16'ed a Modern Premiere event recently.

Has anyone given thought to a GW Knight deck that runs 3 or 4 of him to help us pseudo tutor to set up better or give a boost so we can swing for game easier?

Collecting Timbermare, hit me up if you have any for trade
Fiendslayer Paladin and Phyrexian Metamorph are my flex slots. I'm wondering what people think of the current list and have any suggestions. I've never had issues getting green when I needed it. I recently cut 4x Sunpetal Grove and added in the 1 Sejiri and Mutavault as kind of toolboc lands for KotR. The 1x Godless Shrine has won me a few games playing the Willing side for a surprise blowout.
In regards to the new planeswalker, he's just too expensive in CMC to play. You're either far ahead at that point, or at a point where you are struggling to stay in the game. I feel like there are far too few situations where I would want exactly him.

I still think costing 5 mana pretty much pushes him out of contention for a slot in knights. We are already quite slow (relative to other decks in the meta), so although the new Ajani is powerful I'm not keen to increase the mana curve further.

I like the black splash via Godless Shrine, I could see how having that for Willing could catch an opponent out completely. I think overall the deck looks great, however I would prefer to play at least 20 lands (even with Knight of the White Orchid). I'm curious about the effectiveness of Leonin Skyhunter, I always felt he's worth running in a build with Honor of the Pure.
Leonin Skyhunter is an unblocked sure-damage against many decks (such as zoo/merfolk/tokens) and a fantastic/permanent chump blocker against others... I've absolutely loved running him. I will admit that it is sometimes a card I side out more often than many others, but it's made enough of a difference that I'll be keeping it for now. I almost never have any issues with mana with running the 4 Knight of the White Orchids so I'm trying to have as much of a threat-density as I can at this point so I minimize dead draws. It's also the reason why I don't run Vial anymore. It was fantastic at speeding out critters, but after that it was a useless artifact on the field or a dead draw. I've found smart play with what I play when makes all the difference. I'm holding my breath though for some knights in the upcoming spoiler season! I'm also hoping to get a few more (2 maybe?) Phyrexian Metamorphs to test out. They have been phenomenal in the deck and actually the most copied card that I've used it with was one of the two lifegainers and not the lord. I've liked him quite a bit.

So earlier today I made an account on MTGO and built a knights deck for about $55 CDN. I have really been eager to test the waters with the card Light from Within and so you can imagine my excitement when I was able to acquire basically all of the cards I needed for the $55 mark. I didn't purchase a few select cards (including Elspeth, Knight-Errant (at about $10 each) and Cavern of Souls (at about $6 each). I managed to play a total of 7 games tonight, with the following $55 list:
...Aaaaand Light from Within was an absolute blowout. It won me game after game. Overall the deck functioned pretty well, but I was suprised with the synergy. It was nearly impossible for my opponents to deal with a stream of 4/4 first strikers. I won 6 of 7 matches, narrowly losing 2-1 in only one game. These were only casual matches (in the Just for Fun/Getting Serious categories), not tournament practice matches, but I feel I am getting there. I didn't want to jump into anything too quickly yet as this was still my first day learning the ropes on MTGO.
Game 1: 1-0 Versus something UWR. Guy abandoned the match altogether after seeing SoW, Skyhunter and Crusader hit the field one after the other. He probably had a rough draw.
Game 2: 2-0 Versus mono-white aggro. He made use of Puresteel Paladin and Champion of the Parish among others, plus some nice equipment, but the engine couldn't keep up. I had Light from Within out on T4-T5 each game and it literally was "lights out" for him each time.
Game 3: 1-0 Versus BUG. He abandoned the match after what didn't seem like too great a draw for him, staring down a KotWO, Crusader and Exemplar.
Game 4: 1-0 Versus Zoo. Leonin Skyhunter won the game with ease for me here. I was otherwise staring down a ground battle, with some KotWO and Meadowgrains versus a horde of kitchen finks and other critters. With two skyhunters I flew over their heads for damage again and again, about ready to attach a Sword of Light and Shadow to one when I topdecked Light on T5 or T6 and swung for 8. He scooped with 4 life remaining.
Game 5: 1-2 Versus D+T. This was a difficult match. Normally D+T isn't that tough for us (I have at least found this in past matches) but this guy really knew how to use his deck. I steamrolled him no problem in game 1. Game 2 I made the mistake of not exiling Eight-and-a-Half-Tails, after he had played Aether Vial on T1. From then on my Path sat uselessly in my hand, and he played two Knight of the Holy Nimbus, Leonin Arbiter, Ghost Quarters, Paths, etc., making things difficult. He also knew about my LfW and had sideboarded in War Priest of Thune, which blew one up and further slowed things down. I still could have won this game but I made some colossally stupid plays, at one point losing an Exemplar and Mirran Crusader to two of his bears given pro-white from tails. He always had mana available for tails with the vials out; it was an excellent strat and really good use of a mana sink. Game 3 was extremely close, but the clutch draws were on his side. He again held me off with Eight-and-a-Half-Tails, but sealed the game with a Day of Judgement, a Sword of War and Peace, and an Elspeth, Knight-Errant that I simply just could not get to. He kept making tokens every turn and giving them the pro-white sword, always having that one token in play to save him from critical damage. All I needed was a Path, Relic-Warder, or Skyhunter, but alas none came. I scooped before he could launch a flying Hero of Bladehold and swarm of tokens to finish things off. I was really regretting having not ran Elspeth in my deck after this game.
Game 6: 2-0 Versus Reanimator. Neither round was much of a challenge. I got to chatting with the guy during the second game, after he finally was able to reanimate an It that Betrays and hinted to me that I probably had an exile in hand, to which I replied that I had four sources. We talked about modern a bit and I made my first buddy on MTGO.
Game 7: 1-0 Versus Soul Sisters. Only one match here, saw the usual suspects, a couple ambitious plays by him that could have sent the game over the edge, but between my relic-warders, paths and first striking knights I scored over 30 points of damage by T7 or so, putting his EtB shenanigans to an end.
Overall this seemed like a pretty good first stab. I'm gonna move into the tournament-practice matches next. The Swords actually seemed pretty slow, I never had a chance to use them. And 90% of the time I found myself emptying my hand of creatures until I had enough mana or a suitable opportunity to drop Light from Within. I was actually playing this card before Knight Exemplar as well, and the Swords seemed like the last ones to play on the priority list. I know how valuable they are so they will stay for now, but I am really, seriously considering putting in Elspeth. Heliod also should have a place here. If I drew him, he would have been able to go off 100% of the time. I always had enough white permanents in play, and there were times where I desperately could have used vigilance. The hard part is just cutting from here I guess.
Sidenote: SB is lacking Leyline of Sanctity because I didn't feel like paying $15 each for them, or whatever they were. I already own 4 paper versions and feel guilty enough purchasing all of these digital reprints lol.
What do you guys think? Any obvious inclusions or changes I should be making to the deck? Should I report the upcoming tournament-level matches?

Thought I should post one more. I couldn't resist before going to sleep, and I played a match in the tournament-practice category.
2-1 Versus D+T. This was a stronger list than the first D+T, but again with the help of Light from Within it carried me to a win. Without this card, I don't think I would have been able to take the game. I just can't preach enough about how well it has been working. In the first game he closed me down by T6 with two Blade Splicers, ETB effects with Flickerwisp, Paths and a Serra Avenger. Game two I sided in DoJs and journeys, siding out an exemplar, O-ring and two BtE's. In my opening hand I kept both DoJs. Held off Finks, Arbiter and Wisp with a Crusader and KotWO. He blinked his stuff yet again with a Restoration Angel, but I drew a Light on my turn and he was suddenly up against the ropes. With two Brave the Elements in hand, I kept attacking with the 4/4 crusader, leaving the other 4/4 knight on defense. On the next turn he had beefed up his army, but at 10 health and 12 damage threatening him I cast a BtE and he scooped. Game 3 I barraged him with four 2/2 knights, 2 of which he pathed, but on T5 I dropped Light, followed by an exemplar the next turn (with two more light waiting in hand) and he scooped. Heliod would have been amazing here.
With the new MTGO beta overhaul it now records all of your matches and you can watch them again. If anyone knows how to do it or wants to, this was Event #126790157. Cheers!

Looks like both MetaphysicalxProdigy and yourself are not running Aether Vial, both preferring to run creature anthem instead. I'm looking at trying that myself too. . Also Phyrexian Metamorph as a 3cc clone does looks like an increasingly good option, and with lifelink critters such as Knight of Meadowgrain and Fiendslayer Paladin, they are good copies to be made of which can easier bring us out of reach against certain decks.

That's one in-depth and interesting update! I like seeing a 4/4 Leonin Relic-Warder (with Light from Within) in play. Seeing that I need 4 land drops to get to the first anthem, I might just drop the 2 swords for more creatures or 2x Honor of the Pure. I can imagine Light from Within being an absolute blowout, +2/+2 is not something to scoff at. And it easily put almost everything out of bolt range. Against mid-range decks we definitely can eat them up easily. Personally if I was to play Light from Within myself, I would run playset of lifegainers such as Knight of Meadowgrain and Fiendslayer Paladin - I'm still anxious over whether the anthem can come down in time to make an inpact. I do notice you didn't see much red removals around, cheap red removals aka Lighting Bolt always seems to be a staple in my meta. I also notice Leonin Skyhunter being a reliable source of damage in some of your games. I'll rope him in as well in my next Knight deck. .

Yeah, the WW synergy with Light works really well. It's at the point where I am counting on drawing one for midgame or against midrange decks. It totally overturned one match against a UWR player who had to bolt, use snapcaster, then bolt again to kill an exemplar that had the buff.
I know that Light is a 4cmc card but at 20 lands with 4 KotWO and enough other 2 drops to occupy a turn before casting him, I have been fine for the vast majority of the time. There were a few instances where vial would have been convenient, especially for playing an extra creature AND a Light or Sword on T4, but usually everything seems to curve nicely and it likely would have ended up just sitting there anyways. Playing against vial certainly does keep you guessing though!
I've won about 2/3 of all matches so far in the tournament category. Hardest matchups so far have been melira pod and tron with my current build. Against melira pod, you have to count on having that removal in hand at the right time. Against tron my stuff kept getting countered, although this is partly my fault because i've been too stingy to buy a set of Cavern of Souls on MTGO. Still, as long as you have two creatures out and you drop Light, you basically put them on a two turn clock: you're probably going to hit this turn, and if they can't do something next turn they are in trouble. Even though I lost some of these games, it wasn't by a long shot: in most cases I would have killed them the next turn. Against one UR tron guy I survived an Emrakul from Through the Breach and would have killed him next turn but he managed to fish for Emrakul and did the damn combo again.
Its performed really well against other aggro decks. Absolutely blew one Zoo deck out of the water. Also beat two jund players and a merfolk one (although the merfolk game was really close). In my most recent game I beat a Storm player, he couldn't combo out in round 1 successfully and in round 2 I drew Rest in Peace right away. I should also note the list I posted I modified slightly: the MB O-rings are out and in their place is +1 Knight of the White Orchid and +1 Journey to Nowhere. Although the journey may be better spent as another Sword of Fire and Ice or even a MB Day of Judgment for emergencies.
As for Leonin Skyhunter, I never really used him much in previous games. He just didn't seem worth it, pound for pound to other knights. But his evasion is ever so important, more than I expected. Kitchen Finks is a common occurence and flying over them or something else causing a stalemate is tempo loss for an opponent. And since he seems so bland I find people are less willing to use removal on him, but yet as a 4/4 he is very threatening. He also is an excellent means for ensuring a Sword of X and Y strike against your opponent.
If you were looking for a hyper aggro strategy, I would be tempted to see how well War Falcon could work in a knights deck with Honor of the Pure.

I am no expert. I have played White Weenie since Crusades and Land Tax and Savannah Lions were new. The good old days of stripmines and White Knights. LOL anyway, I recently picked up Magic again and am really conflicted of whether I should be using Knight Exemplar, Leonin Skyhunter, and Journey to Nowhere or Honor of the Pure, Serra Avenger, and Banished Priest.
This opens up my next pickle, I would rather play Soldier of the Pantheon 4x Isamaru,Hound of Konda 2x instead of Student of Warfare.
Honor of the Pure can't be killed ans costs _1/_1 Knight Exemplar. It also sets up Hound and Soldier of Pantheon without having to be knights. Student of Warfare, Mirran Crusader, Fabled Hero, Serra Avenger are all great.
I just need some input really. HOTP and only half knights? Or Knight Exemplar with knights exclusive.
If you're interested in the 20/20/20 strategy (20 2 power one drops, 20 things, 20 lands) then you might be better off not worrying about knights unless one of them has a specific use for you. Knights rely on synergy to control the combat step and maybe getting through with a skyhunter while mucking up the ground. Honor of the pure is fine, but I would really suggest at least running some token spells with that. Spectral procession is fantastic with honor of the pure and similar and really makes an opposing aggro or control decks life miserable.
I think I'd take either of the 3CMC all creatures you control are indestructible instead of it though. I would be hardpressed to find a situation where you would prefer the Ajani's Presence.

I'm on the same page as the majority here regarding the discussion over Brave the Elements and Ajani's Presence. Besides, indestructible is not as useful in a format with a larger pool of cards especially with many exile spells available. There might be some instances whereby the +1/+1 booster could help in wiping the opponent's board of their creatures though - there are times when you just can't finish off opponents with an alpha strike with BtE. That said, I'll still stick to BtE because I could use it in almost every situation.
I just started going to a new store to play Modern at, previous place stopped doing Modern. This is the deck I've been running lately, I feel the main or side could use some work, anyone able to give input?

I'm finishing up a list that's creature and anthem heavy and have a few spots left over. Hero of Bladehold is going to get two of them. How do we feel about Angel of Jubilation? It flies, pumps and doesn't allow sacrificing or paying life. Hero and Angel would be my only 4 CMC cards in the entire deck.

This has been discussed before back then, partly also because of adding DRS into a knight deck. IMO, both are amazing knights and I could already imagine using Grisly Salvage in such a deck.

Has anyone given thought to a GW Knight deck that runs 3 or 4 of him to help us pseudo tutor to set up better or give a boost so we can swing for game easier?

Modern Warp / UR Control / UR Storm / Naya Breachshift / ElectroBalance
Solidarity / Lands / Sneak and Show / Grixis Delver / Reanimator / Belcher / Storm / Dredge
I'm curious about the effectiveness of Leonin Skyhunter, I always felt he's worth running in a build with Honor of the Pure.

...Aaaaand Light from Within was an absolute blowout.

And as water has no constant form, there are in war no constant conditions. - Sun Tzu, The Art of War

I'll rope him in as well in my next Knight deck. .

Hero of Bladehold's tokens would not generate additional soldier tokens with Launch The Fleet.
