I know people aren't playing this deck, but I still love it and play occasionally. What I like most about it is its resiliency: yesterday I've beat Jund 2-0, including a game 2 where my opponent resolved and ult'd 2 Lilianas. Today I've beat RG Tron 2-0 including a game 2 with 2 Karns, 1 Ghost Quarter, and two of my signets destroyed.
People will desperately try to keep you off Tron, but in reality all you need is to find Breach + Eldrazi and 5 mana.
How good would Blast of Genius be in UR Tron? It's sort of like Through the Breach 5+ that moonlights as a draw spell that kills stuff but doesn't smash in their lands when comboed with Emrakul and is pretty rotten with Ulamog. On the other hand, if you're faced with 4 lands, an anthem, and 4 Spirit tokens from an opponent with 14 life, Blast of Genius will be lethal while Breach may not be. Blast of Genius also can't be interrupted by Deceiver Exarch, semi-hosed by Blind Obedience (I predict Blind Obedience's popularity will go up since Combo Elves will be a deck post-DGM), and entirely fizzled by Vendilion Clique in response.
I don't know. It has the advantages you listed, but a sorcery at 6 mana is pretty slow I think.
That said, I'm currently playing a 1-of Thoughtflare and this could take up that slot for one more "free win" route. But the fact that it doesn't affect the board makes it even more dependent on self-inflicted damage your opponent have suffered through fetches and shocklands, making some of the bad matchups like Burn even worse (ok, get your 15 damage to my face, still have my lands to cast my spells, untap, win?).
No Gifts, as you can't get Through the Breach with it (I tried a build with Noxious Revival and Mystical Teachings but they're horrible on their own). Just two signets as accelerating into a T4 Breach is irrelevant most of the times, I used the slots for more cantrips and cheap removal.
Also abandoned the Wurmcoils on the SB. When I face aggro decks I just bring in more removal - usually I don't have the time to cast a Wurmcoil anyway.
Have been wrecking midrange and control with this. Aggro is draw dependent, but at least even after SB with 4 Bolts, Dismember and Spellskite (and Ancient Grudge for Affinity). Burn is still horrible, to the point I don't even bother having SB cards for that matchup.
Well, one game or two (in ~50) I had Through the Breach and no red mana to cast it, but usually I just crack an Expedition Map to get a red source and all is well.
One thing I'm testing now is -1 Scalding Tarn, +1 Tolaria West just so I have one more way to find Eye of Ugin in case the game goes long and Breach isn't enough anymore. The problem with this deck is that sometimes you stabilise, get total control of the game an... never draw your wincon. One more way to get Eye looks promising. It can also find the red source when needed.
On a side note, I just played vs Gruul Zoo and kept a hand with 3 Remand. It want this way:
T1, me: tapped Breeding Pool. Him: untapped Stomping Ground, Experiment One.
T2, me: Urza's Mine. Him: untapped Stomping Ground, Burning-Tree Emissary -> Remand (drawing Urza's Power Plant), attack with E1
T3, me: Urza's Power Plant. Him: Burning-Tree Emissary -> Remand (drawing Remand), attack with E1
T4, me: Island. Him: Burning-Tree Emissary, Remand (drawing Expedition Map), attack with E1
T5, me: Eye of Ugin. Him: Burning-Tree Emissary, Remand. RAGEQUIT.
I would flip a table if someone remands me 4 times in a row

Ok, won all matches I played today with the deck: Eggs, Bogle, Infect, UWR Midrange and Twin (game 2 here included I mulliganing to 4, missing 3 land drops - t2, t4 and t5 - and winning through a Sowing Salt). The list is the same, just changed the SB: -2 Grafdigger's Cage (awesome vs Pod, not so good versus other gy decks), +2 Tormod's Crypt.
I used to play a Polymorph/Proteus Staff + Emrakul/Progenitus deck for fun. To generate tokens I had Goblin Assault, Krenko's Command, Dragon Fodder and some manlands. Really fun to play.
Now, Tron decks are usually already really lack space. You play 25+ lands, 4+ mana rocks (signets/talismans), 4 Maps, 4+ draw spells, 4+ wincons and here there's also 4 Through the Breach. So finding slots for Polymorph and manlads would be really hard.
I like it a lot. Sometimes I miss having more Lightning Bolt/Repeal to hold early rushes, but playing with more Signets helps (except when you're facing Stony Silence).
The sideboard is okay, but I miss some Spreading Seas to fight Scapeshift and other Tron decks. Also missing Combust versus Twin and anything white/blue not named Geist of Saint Traft. For the online meta I'm trying:
That's interesting. I guess take out 1xFiresprout or 1xThirst for Knowledge. I find it really funny how they don't mention each urza's land name. They just say 12x Urza's Lands. Tickled my funny bone a little.
I am seriously thinking about this deck. It looks very consistent and very resilient. How does the deck fair against counter heavy decks?
If it's a deck with counters + a proactive plan like Twin or Scapeshift (the version with Remands and Cryptics), then it's though. You probably won't resolve Through the Breach unless you get two and manage to bait a counter at your opponent's EOT. After SB you can bring Dispel/Negate and I like 1 Boseiju too. Or you can just side out Breach and go for the Eldrazi plan.
Now, versus decks like UWR Wafo, you're all good. Eventually you'll resolve Emrakul and it's GG.
About that list I wouldn't take out TfK nor Firespout. Probably just cut one or both Gifts. I've played both versions of this a lot (Gifts x Compulsive) and while you can Gifts for 3 Eldrazi when you already have Breach, the card is really suboptimal otherwise (you have to build the deck with a lot singletons like Rough/Tumble, Lightning Bolt, Burst Lightning, Dismember etc).
I goldfished around 16 games with his list (complete, with 61 cards). It's really nice to have that turn 4 Gifts into and Eldrazi when you have Breach and all, but I think just going -2 Gifts, +1 Pyroclasm (or some cantrip like Repeal/Electrolyze) may be the way to go.
The worst matchups are Twin, Burn and "blue" Scapeshift.
Best matchups are other Tron decks, weenie decks (including Melira Pod, thanks Pyroclasm!) and midrange in general.
The sideboard is a bit loose. It's mainly focused on Affinity (although it's not a bad matchup with 4 Pyroclasm and 2 Repeals MD) and Twin (this is bad without Combust).
I'm still on the fence about wether I should play Kozilek or just go 3 Emrakul, 1 Ulamog. Kozilek is the easiest one to hardcast and its ability it's even better than Ulamog's most of the time (except versus PWs, mainly Liliana).
I've been playing Burnardough's list sans fetches and really enjoying it. Mostly single games so I'm not sure about post board, but my experience is that it is less explosive and maybe a bit slower than Mono-U Tron but with much more powerful game-ending plays.
I see where you are going with Gifts - it has been a low-priority play most of the times I have drawn it, but once I find myself with the mana spare casting it for 3 eldrazi and the second gifts always nets me an ulamog and a kozilek, which turn the game in my favour all by themselves, if they don't outright end it. I would definitely consider going down to 1, but I'm not sure I'd want to cut both.

Gifts isn't bad. I played a bit with a 1-of (cutting the other one to stay at 60 cards) and the Eldrazi pile surely wins a couple games, but I just think going with 4 Pyroclasm in a meta filled with Melira Pod is probably better.
Ok, so played more matches today (beat BR Burn, Melira Pod and UW Control). I really like the list and the 2 Wurmcoils MD to Breach in, giving us a better chance versus Burn (usually an horrible matchup). My opponent ragequit on me after I did that at 2 life.
I kept 2 Emrakul, 1 Ulamog, 1 Kozilek even without Gifts and don't regret it. I hardcasted it twice and it was very useful. I also breached it once and it was enough to put my opponent on an unrecoverable position (even thought he/she didn't scoop on the spot).
The only change I did was -1 Steam Vents, +1 Mountain. When playing versus aggressive deck I really want to be able to fetch a Mountain instead of Bolting myself to play an early Pyroclasm.
I also play UW and Mono U and what I like about this deck is that Breach gives us a lot of resilience. I won games today versus triple Tec Edge and Stony Silence thanks to it. It also makes Blood Moon almost a dead card if you opponent decides to bring it in.
This build also has good plays for all stages of the game: Breach early, Wurmcoils mid and Emrakul late game.

What are your thoughts on Electrolyze? A lot of the time Thirst for Knowledge feels less great than in mono-u since its much harder to justify discarding an artifact in this build (pretty much only signets, I don't want to discard Maps unless its late game), so it becomes hand shaping rather than card advantage.
I am going to go -2 Thirst +2 Electrolyze to get a feel for how it plays - if the lack of dig doesn't hurt too much, I'll also trial 4.

The "low" number of artifacts makes Compulsive even better than TfK here. The only downside is that it's a sorcery, but we're not draw-go, so it's not that bad.
Electrolyze is good and I would play at least two if I could find the slots. TfK is invaluable because of the digging power. We want to sift through cards a lot. I've played versions with only 4 draw spells (4 TfK, no CR, no Gifts) to play more cantrips and scry spells (had Repeal, Remand, Electrolyze, Condescend) but a lot of times I would run out of gas without finding what I needed.

Looking forward to know about your results. I've tried a lot of things already (you can check most of the lists throughout the thread) but never had another mind to help improve things.
What I like about having Thirst and Compulsive is that you can choose which one to cast according to your hand and board to increase the odds of getting 2 cards out of the deal. Generally, when you're flooded, CR is awesome, while TfK is very good when you already have Tron or enough signets or on matchups you don't care about Wurmcoil Engine.
Learning the exact moments in which to use you should cast one of the other is crucial especially for the grindy matchups (like Jund/Rock).
I've picked up the Electrolyzes, and will do some testing in the Just for Fun and Tournament Practice queues. Sadly, the Daily events are a lousy time for me so I'll probably not get a chance to do any proper tournament testing. The sideboard is far from perfect too, its a work in progress. I also lack fetches, the Shivan Reefs will be Scalding Tarn's just as soon as I can talk myself into spending the money I got an unexpected windfall, changed list to add the Tarns.
