I've written an article on some Modern decks that I think are underrated in the current competitive scene. You can find it here. Check it out, and let me know what you think!
Roland, you can not spearhead your article by talking about underated decks and then talk about dredge. It was the best deck in the format by many people accountes before banns, and they won one of the last modern grand prix. It is the opposet of underrated, unless you think it is even better then the best.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
In the context of RIGHT NOW, in this current post-ban metagame. Then I agree that dredge is currently underrated.
You guys said it yourself it was the best deck before bans, but after bans almost nobody gave a crap about it.
Only a handful of people bothered with dredge post ban and 2 of them were rewarded with top 8 finishes at GP brisbane by accurately predicting a post-ban meta where dredge was not on any radars. Hence, underrated.
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
Modern is definitely a format of Tier 2 decks. This is what is most interesting of this format. There are so many decks that can thrive at competitive level, you need to know in and outs of your deck and basical knowledge of other decks and you are in for a run.
I've been thinking a lot about this too and i came up with this list:
-Grixis Delver
-Abzan Company
-Ad Nauseam*
-Lantern Control
-Merfolk
-UW Control
-Valakut
-Storm Gifts
-Elves
-Goryos Vengance
-Hatebears Vial
-Dredge
-Knightfall
This are all Tier 2 or less and are very much capable of winning a tournament just like a Tier 1. They have a lot of play in them. Nauseam and Lantern are a little bit more known because pro's already identified them as fine choices but nevertheless they are somewhat 'under the radar'.
The reason Dredge was on the article was that it was left for dead postban, whereas recent results suggest that reports of its demise were greatly exaggerated. It's certainly not as consistent as it once was, but still playable, and it still has a pretty nice matchup against all of the fair decks out there.

^^ Dredge's current meta positioning is very good, as midrange decks (and affinity, whee free wins) dominate the top of the metagame. But hey, by all means don't pack enough dredge hate guys, I'll take that W
This thread is almost a year old. Look at the dates before posting!!! The topic isn't exactly relevant anymore, and if you really want to talk about underrated decks just start a new topic.

Nicely written article. I like the Spirits deck and the meta share information.
Hmm, but why is Dredge in there? I think it's not really underrated...
