Modern Nexus aims to be the internet's best source for all things Modern. Founded by destroyermaker (Sean) and I (Sheridan), our site is focused exclusively on Modern content and coverage for our favorite format.
Who we are: Apart from being a mod on the Modern forums since 2013, I have a background in social science research, database administration, and academia. Modern has been my home format since 2011 and I've been sleeving up cards since 1998. Sean has a background in journalism stretching back about a decade, and has been playing Modern since 2012.
About the site: Modern Nexus publishes Modern-focused articles for all levels of Modern experience. Just getting into the format? We have some introductory content for you. Looking to sharpen up your sideboard for the upcoming FNM? Check out or tech and strategy section. Ready to take down the next GP? We give you the stats and deck analysis you need to succeed.
One of the things that sets us apart from other website are our metagame stats. For those who have been following the metagame project at MTGS, I am using that same spreadsheet to power our stats on Modern Nexus. No more worrying about incomplete datasets, missed events, misclassified decks, or double counted tournaments. Our dataset is updated daily to make sure that your overall metagame picture is always up-to-date. We update the metagame stats table twice a month, but you can always check out the spreadsheet for the dataset itself.
So check us out, follow us on Twitter, and let us know anything you think we should be doing! We welcome all feedback and comments; you can either post in this thread, email us at sheridan@modernnexus.com or sean@modernnexus.com, or shoot us a PM here.
I think this is a great idea! I am sure that you will do a fantastic job running the site and provide quality Modern content just as you have here in these Modern forums.
I have sent an email to Sean with an example article to possibly become a content provider. I will definitely be checking Masters of Modern every day for new content!
Very nice! Glad to have another place to read about Modern! I can't wait to see your Dragons picks...after I finish writing my own article first. (It'll be fun to compare afterwards.)
Good luck with the site!

The Modern Perspective - an article series all about Modern brought to you by PureMTGO.com
This is a great idea and it will be nice to have some more Modern articles. Would it be possible to allow people to comment on Masters of Modern using their MTGSalvation accounts?
Nice to see that you make people aware of Esper Mentor/Midrange.
The deck feels really good and has earned itself a respectable meta-share already in not even a month.
Myth Realized could also be a really nice addition to the deck and push it further.
Im excited that we perhaps have a decent Esper deck finally.

Thanks! Just as a head's up about contributors, we are really looking for two things right now. First, we want some players with a bit of tournament experience. Second, we want players who are awesome writers (as in, next "Who's the Beatdown" kind of awesome). So if you do have tournament experience, definitely put that in any emails you send us as it helps us get through applications. And if you don't, send some really high quality stuff to wow us.

Let me know those rankings when you are done! Would love to compare notes.

That's an interesting question. We'll have to look into the coding of the comments section. I know we can set it up for Facebook, but MTGS might be tricky.

I absolutely LOVE Myth Realized. Hands down my favorite card in the set.
Would you be interested in video content? I mean, I'll be honest, you've seen my first showing and it wasn't amazingly spectacular so I'm not going to be hurt if you say no, just curious for the future.
Going to start posting article updates here, just in case people are on the forums and not subscribed to our site feed:

I really like Modern Nexus, it seems as though it is still in its initial stages. There are not many sites dedicated to modern, so it is really nice to see. Love reading the articles and most the decks they are highlighting I am playing atm.
