Leyline of Sanctity effectively negates burn. I like to pay mono-red burn in modern, and if this card is in my opponents opening hand it is game over. The creatures in a typical burn deck will not pick up the slack against any decent opponents deck. So it got me to thinkng. If there is an enchantment to stop burn decks, one of the oldest archetypes in magic deck history, is there something that does the same thing against counters? I know there is Vexing Shusher but it doesn't really compare. It turns hard conters into soft counters, making one mana unusable if you plan on casting anything. And it is a creature, with all the weaknesses that entails. You have to hexproof him somehow. A lot less effective compared to an enchantment which is a little harder to get rid of.
Secondly, what options, if any, are there in red to get rid of enchantments? Am I doomed to run a splash of this or that? Maybe even a more creature heavy deck?
Actually many mono red decks now have started to pump their deck with fetches and then splash blue for cruise and green for destructive revelry out of the side. If you red deck already splashes for white to use boros charm I suggest siding wear/tear but if you don't I suggest revelry
Various ways around counters exist but not ones that are permanent that I have found IE. Your spells can not be countered
