I've been looking into old modern decks and came across, a Scepter of Secrets decklist from 2012. Does anyone know why this deck isn't being played in the current modern format. On paper it looks like a very strong deck.
The dominance of Jund backed by Abrupt Decay made Isochron Scepter fall out of popularity since there was a common main board answer to it. Although the meta has shifted for now, it is not something that has been re-visited as of yet.

I will always firmly stand by the belief that Magic is a game first and a collectable second.
It's still a plausible deck, but so many decks have answers to scepter right now that it's really just a waste of a card 9 out of 10 times you play it.

Silence + scepter is pretty good though.
