Pretty much same list but -1 Farseek, -1 Pact, +2 KHE.
I may have a bias for the version with Chandras cos Sun and Moon is a thing in our lgs, though. 2 regular dudes play the deck.
Without too many Blood Moon decks, she seems like a win-more that could be marginally worse than 2cc ramp spells – if you look at it, the Chandras pretty much replaced the Explores from the "stock" lists, and I say Chandra can sometimes be worse because obv seeing 2 Chandras in your opening hand is much worse than seeing 2 Explores.
Other than that ^ though, she works really well. She doesn't mess with the t4 titan plan, and is a very good t3 play (second only to ramp + fetchland with KHE on the boaro imo).
From the spreadsheet I'v been keeping up with all year, I have 10-2 against Grixis Control variants, though one of those losses is at GP Indy to some jerk playing Tombstalker.
If it becomes a big player in the meta, I'll need to test against it more as I don't know how the deck changes around to accommodate Fatal Push.
Fatal Push really doesn't change it much in theory they will more then likely remove some form of terminates to accommodate them, which benefits us. Grixis delver imo is the tougher match up as the counter package can slow us down and we have a hard time dealing with tasigurs/gurmag if they run it.
Yeah, I agree with the last 2 guys. Grisis delver just consistently has a better clock with just enough tempo-control making it a much harder matchup than the more control-heavy grixis decks who have a harder time dealing with the inevitability that comes with Valakut decks.
R1 vs Elves. 2-1
R2 vs Affinity. 2-1
R3 vs Infect. 2-0
R4 vs Jund. 2-0
R5 vs Junk. 0-2
T8 vs Infect. 2-0
T4 vs Grixis control. 2-0
T2 vs Titan Breach. Split, it was GPT and I didn't want the byes so we re-arrenged prizes.
Going forward I'm going to drop the Huntmaster for a Pulse of Murasa.
I also played the exact same list in the last RPTQ and lost to infect in Top8 1-2 due to heavy mulliganing and mana screwing, otherwise I could have won the match (opp was on a slow hand).

In Lorwyn's brief evenings, the sun pauses at the horizon long enough for a certain species of violet to bloom with the fragrance of mischief.
I've finally caught up on the content after passively reading the thread over the past few months. It seems like a lot of the content is in decklists, decklists with tournament results and little card discussion. Am I correct in understanding that the MD has arguably between 2 and 6 flex slots?
I've been playing a lot of legacy Nic-Fit lately and Courser of Kruphix has become a bit of a pet card. It provides stupid levels of card advantage beside Sensei's Divining Top, I digress.
I've only recently finished the 75 and have had very little play opportunities.
Can someone explain to me the reason that Expedition is generally a 3 of? It is very explosive and if you respond to your triggers properly can lead to surprising wins.
There has been some lists with 4 KHE that had 3 Bolts, but soon they changed it to 3 KHE and 4 Bolts.
3 is a good number, since it can get awkward sometimes.
I think the perfect number is 2, you want to maybe see an expedition, but there are games where it's just too slow or games that go too long and they don't do anything off the top. On the other hand, there are games you can't win without them. The biggest problem with it is that you have another 8 ramp effects that look for basics + the basics you draw + the basics that you have to fetch some times make the expedition awkward at times, especially when drawn mid to late game. I settled on 2 KHE and I never looked back (and I'm running 8 basic mountains where the usual is 7).

What would you bring to the Restore Balance or 8 Rack MU if you didn't have access to Chalice?
There are a couple of players in my local meta on these decks.
8Rack is easy, 3 Baloth and 1 Huntmaster (or Pulse of Murasa) + K Grip, Grudge, Sage and Explosives.
Restore Balance idk to be honest, never played that deck. I asume if it's a popular deck and you HAVE to deal with them you can try playing some number of Splendid Reclamation.
EDIT: Against 8rack (if it's something that really scares you and you have to play everytime) you can try the EDM land card that gives you the option to put cards that would be discarded on top of your library.

I never thought about Splendid Reclamation. Hopefully the loss of probe will result in a downturn in infect and I open a few SB slots.
Holy hell, this deck. So I can offer some advice here. I play against this deck often, and the player is pretty good (he hit top 8 of an SCG Classic one time with it).
So in Red, there are like no answers. In green, there is Tajuru Preserver. Their deck has ways of dealing with creatures, but if you want to stay in RG then that's your option. I never tested Splended Rec against it, but it doesn't feels clunky in the MU and could require you to get back up to 4 lands after an Armageddon.
If you want to splash colors, white is the best option. Black for Slaughter Games is non-viable because they are bringing in 4 Leylines, so you would need to have 2 SB cards to start the game (Claim and Slaughter Games). White gets you stuff like Sacred Ground and Nahiri.
Tips for the matchup: Your enchantments carry a lot of weight in these games (KHE and Omen) as they don't get wiped. You can "store" lands in KHE and pop it after, but be careful to only crack fetchlands if you absolutely need the mana as you'll likely churn through every land in your deck.
I love courser right now as a 2 of in my deck I dropped an Anger of the gods and a bolt main for them so I could keep my ramp spells at a good level. They do a ton of work against a bunch of decks just by being a blocker with 4 toughness let alone the life gain and filter options is just gravy. I personally think Khalni is a 3 of minimum but that's personal preference.
Attikus whats the inferno titan in the sideboard for? I bought one a bit ago cause I was thinking it could be cool but I just cant seem to find a spot for it, what do you bring it in for?

I bring him in as an extra threat. If you're expecting your Valakut's to get removed or blanked with a Blood Moon. Baloth is good but not always a strong enough closer.

Though Dredge was pushing Bant Eldrazi out, and I don't look foward to getting TKS'd on turns 2 and 3 all the time.

I haven't played this MU yet but as we working looking at pairings last week I pondered the MU and realized that I didn't have a gameplan.
