As a Tron player, I wouldn't avoid decks because they lose to Tron unless you are playing for the Pro Tour.
Tron has a unique enough combination of cards that if your goal is just to win local tournaments that I can't imagine you are going suddenly start seeing brand new Tron decks everywhere. It will take time and money for people to jump on the Tron train, and that is only if Tron really is as dominant as people fear.
I also don't know if these bannings will help Tron as much as people think. Twin has always been a bad matchup, especially grixis twin, but burn was always my true fear and Grishoalbrand is also gaining steam after avoiding the ban. If the twin meta is replaced by burn and Grishoalbrand then it is going to keep Tron in check.
I wouldn't avoid the deck you really want to play because of Tron, especially not yet. I jumped into Modern and Tron right after the birthing pod ban and I picked the tier 1-1.5 deck that I wanted to play, not the one that was the absolute best. Stuff happens. Keep on trucking. The meta changes all the time.
Sorry twin players,
I'm not a twin player but this still pisses me off,
Twin was my favourite deck to watch and one of my favourite to play against, such a piss off..
This just sucks. I know everyone thought bloom was going to get banned so there wouldn't be a lot of hard feelings if that got axed, but twin was completely left field. This feels less like a banning because of power and more because they just said "Hey, we want modern to have some kind of rotation as well so lets ban something!" I've read the reasoning and at this point Wizards are so disconnected from actual local tournament play that they might as well be throwing darts at a dart board with their statistics. The pro-tour is like one sub-section of the entire modern community. People look at it to emulate some of the winning decks via net decking, but most of the time people are playing T2 or their favorite deck from yesteryear. Local tournaments don't usually have big payoffs for winning, anyway, so the incentive to have to go big and expensive is no where near the level that Wizards is basing their decisions on.
I don't even play Twin and I'm getting this worked up. If they banned twin, there's nothing saying they wont crush affinity, tron, or any other deck that just happens to be winning a lot recently. In fact, just wait. They will probably kill affinity or tron next just for giggles when the next banning session happens.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
So this means that Affinity and Infect will run rampant b/c they can go under the Eldrazi and Tron decks that are on the rise.
I predict no less than 5 of the top 8 in the next GP will be a combination of Affinity, Infect, and Burn.
So much for format diversity.
If 5 spots in a top eight are three decks, that's not a bad thing. That's actually pretty good. Your post implied that'd mean up to six unique decks in the top 8 which, again, is good and diverse.
Ok, so I'm a bit of brewer so this is probably a REALLY bad deck idea, but what if you guys turned Twin into a UR Midramge deck with an incidental combo finish with Exarch + Kiki Jiki? Get Keranos, V-Clique, and some Cryptics and you've got a decent shell backed by Visions, Remand, and Spell Snare. Heck, through the Kiki combo into Blue Moon! Hose everybody else! Look, I know this seems bad, but it's worth a shot!

I like the optimism of your post It's a shame to see twin go,even though i don't play it now, it was my first modern deck, built back when twin was still $4 (Canadian!). I hope none of you got burned too badly. I'm also curious where you guys take "the deck" from here (Ie, still try and play a kiki/resto combo? do as Cavalry wolf said?
I think our best bet is to splash white and go for UWR Resto/Kiki... I don't know really. Never thought my snappies, tarns and cryptics would be tier 2.5 cards
The fact is that they aren't. You can still do some pretty crazy things. Hell, go on the midrange plan. Maybe I'll brew it up and test it. I didn't even play Twin, but there is almost always a way to work around bannings

I feel for those who invested time and money into the deck. I do however feel that the 2 bans open up a bunch of room for other decks.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.

The Jund community will pour a 40 out on the street tonight to mourn for our lost rivals. Modern has often been described as a battle between GB/x and UR/x, and I'm worried that may come to a close. It's been real, y'all.

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

I am an esper draw go player. Twin made the format possible because it checked all of the big mana decks and hyper aggressive ones. With it gone I feel like Timmy decks are going to become all the rage. I am not happy about Wizards banning one of the most skill intensive and fair decks in the format.
However, with the Twin combo out maybe Twin players could play some form of Twinless Twin. I know it sounds stupid, but they often one through controlling the game and not the combo. Maybe the twin decks could become U/R control.
Just a thought. I hope Twin players don't jump over Tron.
Just play Legacy, you won't encounter those problems there

True. Even if Kikki doesn't keep the deck alive I still need a couple if I choose to run Jeskai Control with a side of combo.
