Not much more so than it was already. We already have 8 fetch with access to all 3 of our colors, so unless you need 12 fetch (which you don't, even with KotR) adding windswept heath doesn't add much than we already have. I will say, there's a singleton misty rainforest in my list currently as the 9th fetch land that will probably become a windswept heath.

Agreed, I wouldn't run more than 9 fetches. 10 MAX. There are also just too many good lands for knight to target if you use her as well as the fact that you need at least one of every basic. I run 5 in mine.
looking to start playing junk.. whats a good list? i will be playing on MTGO for the time being
That is tough to say. I would recommend running Knight of the Reliquary and Elspeth, Knight-Errant. KOTR is just amazing for me and nobody expects Elspeth. The look on an opponents face when you drop Elspeth is priceless. There are lot of good posters, such as Mastodon and ExplodingWaffle, who have good lists. Take a look and see what suites your playstyle.
Here is my current list (main deck), I will be adding Abzan Charm when it is released:
I basically took your advice on building the deck. Although, i did not have the elspeth/ajani. I +2 souls +1 lili. I want to get a feel for the deck before i start customiZing anything. How do i make a fancy decklist like that?
Easiest way to do formatting on this site is to quote people and see what the proper notation is.
kafiltafish67's list is a pretty good starting point. Going with LS and Lilly's is also a good route until you get a feel for your meta. Like I mentioned previously souls has been lacking for me recently and I'm taking KotR back up. My list also isn't up to speed since it's lacking goyfs but if you have the goyfs then you really shouldn't have any problem making this deck into anything you want it to be. I will be curious to see how everyone feels about Abzan Charm after it's seen some play time.

ok thanks. Ive got the goyfs. should be interesting to run

Thanks for your input.
No problem. Those are fine replacements. I would definitely run the 4th Liliana. I personally don't run souls because there were so many times where, like ExplodingWaffle, I found it lacking. Also, another reason why I vouch for Elspeth is because I run Mirran Crusader in the side for BGx and Pod. If your opponent doesn't have an answer it's game over fairly quickly.
I am confident you will enjoy the deck. It's a fun deck to play and very competitive.
So I've been testing a while with a list that's essentially Jain_Mor's list (I'd pay you a drink if I knew you ;)).
I'm not yet sold on whether boarding in KotR or Lingering Souls. Souls is always sweet when you do T3 Liliana, discard but on the other hand Kinight feels sometimes like running 8 goyfs.
I've also found that spirit tokens can be weak sometimes, blocking Cliques is fine but racing with goyfs and knights seem to be superior to me. OTHO Souls can provide card advantage and "grindiness" when they can manage your board. Elspeth, KE is nice but needs a bit more white mana in this build.

Haha thanks Avatar! I was running KotR for a long time, and switched for the GP because KotR is like running 8 goyfs. Problem is, you already have 4 that dominate the ground, souls help you dominate the sky and with garruk you can combo kill.
However, I don't know how ascendacy is affecting the format. You may want more golgari charms in the sideboard, potentially making souls weaker etc
Ive moved onto to legacy now for GP Kyoto, so any opinions I'd give won't be current, so hence my speculation instead glad you're enjoying the deck, it's soooo sweet. GrindGrindGrind
A friend of mine who plays Junk mentioned a card that has been great in the SB for him: Phyrexian Unlife
It seems amazing vs. Burn, Affinity and Zoo. I think it may be worth 2 or 3 slots in the SB since any time you draw it you just auto-win those matchups (especially in conjunction with any kind of life gain since going above 0 after they put you beneath it is just nuts).
More importantly it's good against ascendency combo too. They have to remove it at least.
Better hope they fizzle--if they don't, Ascendancy Storm can easily Wish for Wear // Tear or other enchantment destruction and nuke it near the end of the combo instead of before they start.
Yah I said they have to remove it at least. I meant that it has broad applications as a card, and along with other disruption it can be effective against ascendancy, especially if you have other permanent based hinderance.
I played Jain_Mor's list at a recent FNM with mixed success, but once again I'm new to the archetype and didn't play that much up until recently.
I changed the list as follows: 4 KoT instead of LS mainboard, added a second Golgari Charm SB expecting those Jeskai COmbo deck, but never saw one.
Here's a succinct report.
Cruel Control:
G1: mana screw, draw 4 confidants, bolts them all. While I stumble on mana, he goes to 7 and goes Cruel.
G2: Complete mana screw, never see any other land than the 2 I initally drew. Nice intro!
0-2, 0-1
Sideboard: -2 PtE, +2 Avend Mindcensor
Jund
G1: We trade blows, I make a combat math mistake and die on his turn by the hand of Goyf and Ravine.
G2: Again, I stay at 2 lands for a good part of the game but not the good ones (Godless Shrine + Tecto Edge). I kept the hand because I could potentially go Ts, Tarmo, Tarmo, Decay if I drew a G-land. With 25 lands in the deck, I thought it was a calculated risk, but there we are.
0-2, 0-2
Sideboard: forgot but didn't really matter since I got screwed. I think I put in Fulminator.
RUG Tempo
G1: Very close, he goes down to 1, but finish the job by something like bolt, snapcaster, bolt, Electrolyze.
G2: Similar to G1.
0-2, 0-3, what a day!
Sideboard: Cage since he had a lot of FB spells + Snap, Aven Mindcensor, didn't see neither
MonoG Infect
G1: I begin, Overgrown Tomb, IoK, TS, TS, Bob, Tarmo, GG
G2: he drops a centipede, then attacks emptying his hand of pump spells, in response I decay his beast, he scoops.
2-0, 1-3
Sideboard: removes all slow things like Garruk, puts in Drown in Sorrow, Golgari Charm
BUG Infect
A more controlling version which tries to disrupt and manage until he can go through
G1: I have a Godless shrine, a TS, 2 PtE in my opening hand + 1 GB fetch. What could go possibly wrong? Nothing, right? Indeed.
G2: I keep a hand with Overgrown Tomb + TecEdge, which allows me to TS but no Decay or Goyf. I'll draw 3 Edges in a row
G3: I manage his board witha combination of Fulminator, TS, Decay, Lili...
2-1, 2-3
Sideboard: removes all slow things like Garruk, puts in Drown in Sorrow, Golgari Charm, adding also Fulmi Mages for Inkmoth Nexuses
Interesting intro to Junk, will definitely need more practice. I'm usually a U player, so I need more practice with the grindy playstyle. Will definitely need to refine my sideboard strategy though.
Muliganning is a necessary evil with this deck. I very rarely keep an opening hand if I don't at least have some sort of access to all three colors and will go down to a 5-card hand if need be. Don't be too discouraged, people get way too upset when decks don't work and the bottom line is that it's also a game, it's not made to work all the time so poor luck will happen.
