Stoneforge would fit more into an Abzan Liege shell, no? They already have a different primer.
Path is an excellent card in modern despite what RD says, and you will notice he will not argue with anyone. Watch him just 8 months ago fetch for white on turn 1 to hold up path, something that makes no sense to me whatsoever. The other white card that has made my SB at times is Blessed Alliance, but mostly that has gone away with Bant Eldrazi and Infect, but it's one of few tools to deal with Emrakul. Have also carried Hallowed Moonlight specific to our meta which has 2xStorm, Goryo's decks, Dredge and 3x Coco decks, and... deals better with Emrakul. GrafCage more versatile, but doesn't deal with Breach and Warrens
Reid Duke was X-3 when I checked, he has to win out
He is showing that you're rewarded for knowing your deck in and out because straight GBx looks bad right now.
It's a bit hasty to draw conclusions. Remember that the pro tour is 6 rounds of Draft and 10 rounds of Modern. You can be undefeated in Constructed, and still miss the top 8 completely. The real stats that are important for constructed decks are the lists of 10-0, 9-X, and 8-X decks.
That game 1 against Humans was amazing, he purely outplayed his opponent. I honestly cannot believe he won that, it should have been a roll. He knew when to block, when to attack. I would have been steamrolled in his position. I couldn't understand his initial swing in at all.
Really amazing, you don't see this quality of play on the SCG circuit.

It was honestly incredible, I could not believe how well he played that. Simply amazing. Hope he can get the second game, but it will be tough.
Also, did you guys see that views got up to 30,000 at one point and steady at 28k? Modern is far more popular than standard, the other PTs didn't get close to these views.
Reid's Game 1 was simply amazing. I thought he was going to get steamrolled but he fought tooth and nail to outplay his opponent. I would of been crushed if I were in that same position.

Game 2's Liliana rip was crazy.
I think most of us would have been destroyed that game 1.
Game 2 he leaned on luck to win that game with an LOTV rip. He easily loses that game otherwise.
Do you guys think this will give WOTC the illusion that GBx is ok?
I don't understand the G/B rock hype whatsoever. Coming from abzan, why would you sacrifice percentage points against SO many matchups (humans, affinity, grixis shadow, burn, mardu pyromancer, g/b/x mirrors, jeskai control, U/W control) just to pick up percentage points against tron and valakut which make up so much of a smaller portion of metashare. Lingering souls is basically a dealbreaker for all of the aforementioned matchups- Reid Duke is having a very strong showing this PT and souls are putting in work.

A little new to watching professional magic, but why is the draft included in the modern event results?
Game 1 was a masterclass; Game 2 that LOTV off the top totally changed the complexion of the game.
Awesome games.
I hate it since it skews results, but these are also the best players in the world.
Game 2's Liliana rip was crazy.
