@RefurinnSC
It comes from my UW Tron Eggs variant sideboard. It comes into play versus the very rare true control decks that mostly are just trying to stall. You can technically egg off with your Open the Vaults and Faith's Reward from ever really resolving. If you manage to get him down with a resolved KCI, you should be golden. They cant counter all your egg drops. That card has not seen any real play yet so the jury is still out on it but you can definitely get our momentum with this in play.
That looks quite like the list I 5-0'd a Modern Festival Prelim with.
Are you playing this on paper? If so, you can run 2x Shredder instead of Zenith and show your opponent the loop. I also board the Emrakul for any matchups I think will possibly have Leyline (and I also board in Glares, obviously). Emmy also plays around GY hate because depending on their clock you can just find a KCI and sac everything to him to win through it anyway.
As for Spellbomb over Shredder - it helps cantrip when you aren't trying to use it as your wincon, so your first few FR you can draw a card to get your engine going vs it sitting dead in your hand.
I've gotten kind of frustrated and not touched the deck in a minute because on MTGO I keep running into stuff like Merfolk with MD relic and a bunch of control decks. But if your meta is full of stuff like Jund or other combo decks I see it still being very strong.
Nice to see you around the thread and congrats on the finish! I've been thinking about the list as I'm planning to build it on paper and I'm debating wether I should run 4 Mox Opal or 4 Pentad Prism or 4 Defense Grid. If the 4 Opal are really needed for the deck to function optimally, which I guess, then I won't be able to build it sadly! Thoughts guys?
Your win-con is basically KCI. Being able to accelerate it out with Opal and floating/generating mana with multiple Opals is really key to the deck. Honestly I wouldn't run the deck without it, it's just super-important.

Yes, it's what I expected and I understand perfectly why it's so important. Maybe I'd go with something different as I remember that there used to be an old primer with Urza lands in it. I've goldfished with it and this version of Eggs and it works fine :
If you are going to be using tron lands and KCI and especially without any Reshape, drop the Lotus Blooms and consider investing into 2-3 Mox Opal. They are pricey for a reason and for decks that throw out as much artifacts that we do, it is an amazing effect. If that is difficult, consider going for a drug out game to stall until you can egg off with KCI and putting some Reshape in the blooms in the deck. Drop the mountain and maybe the plains as well. You get all the out of place colored lands you need through the filter eggs and replace with Seachrome Coast or another Adarkar Wastes. Also another note on what you were commenting on the Cloud Key or Etherium Sculptor, you don't need either. You generate so much mana through KCI that this should never be required to play. If you are worried about hate cards such as Thalia, a mainboard of 1-2 Path to Exile is also good at removing threats. Also have a Codex Shredder in there somewhere. It lets you loop infinitely. Better than Conjurer's Bauble since it lets you mill yourself for a bigger Open the Vaults when the time comes and it comes into your hand and does not require it to be shuffled..
Just some thoughts after briefly going through your list.
I will playtest during the next few months, but I have a question : the maindeck seems very tight and sideboarding might be difficult. When you bring in the 4 Leyline of Sanctity (or even Glare of Heresy or Defense Grid), what do you recommand siding out?
Nice finish Sodek! I've been playing other things for the moment because I was guessing that with all the gurmag anglers and tasigurs and grishoalbrands running around that there would be more graveyard hate in the format. Did you find that at all? Maybe I should pick this deck up again.
It was metacall. I expected a lot of coco decks and junds. Also not so many twins and affinity (which means less Stony Silence). I played discard or aggro match ups where my version is favorable - very stable T4 kill and natural ability to combo from topdeck (on last turn crack all eggs and u should draw something).
Now it's good time to play eggs.
Glad that eggs is getting some love. Nice finish Sodek. I was wondering your opinion of having a 4 of Lotus Bloom in your deck. Do you feel that is a good amount? Also how is conjurers bauble also working for you? I usually just rely on noxious revival and codex shredder to go infinite.
In m opinion 4 blooms is a must in. Hand with bloom in opening is much more powerful than without it. Suspended bloom let us fight through soft countermagic. Also with 4 blooms I could cut mana sources to 19 (15 lands and 4 moxes).
Conjurer's Bauble is much better than Terrarion. During combo u can use Terrarion once by itself. After first loop u have to use KCI (which u won't always have). Bauble will always draw card, even with Rest in Peace in board. It saves from surgical extraction, let us go infinite with only 1 artifact finisher (codex or pyrite Spellbomb). Bauble is just better than Terrarion.
Having an opening bloom is amazing but if you draw a bloom turn 3 or during your combo it basically is a dead card. Just reliably reshaping 2 blooms or a shredder/kci seemed more useful to me but I could be wrong.
You are playing combo deck, u have to draw right cards on right time. Also if you keep more powerful opening u give yourself better chances to win. Ok, sometimes drawing it would be dead card but most of time u will heavy rely on that t1 suspend. Also note that if u goldfish T4 kill u will see more cards on opening than cards u draw before u start combo. After first loop u can draw blanks because of big card advantage.
I also strongly recommend playing Days Undoing in eggs. In first 2 turns we play eggs, moxes, blooms and lands. Undoing resets our hand from 1-2 cards to 7.I cut 1 Wellspring and 1 Probe and so far it's great to me. And again, during combo it is dead draw but we can easily overpower it.
I sometimes play vs a not-so-great AI using MTG Forge and a couple of months ago I downloaded a huge pack of decks (mostly stuff someone put together from MODO dailies) -- something around 16000 decks and it's been fun exploring decks I never knew even existed. Today I saw a couple of decks named "Eggs" and the named sounded familiar (I see the name around quite a bit as an example of the most goldfish-able deck) and for some reason I thought it was banned and completely unusable. Still, I thought I'd give it a shot just for the hell of it. Here's the deck I've been playing for a few hours:
What do you guys think of this list? I have no idea how old it is so it's quite possible it's outdated and not really viable anymore but after goldfishing for a while it seems to be a lot of fun. From seeing a couple of pages in this thread it looks like Mox Opal and Lotus Bloom are pretty popular (and it makes sense) but are missing from this list. I'll go through the thread some more and do a bit of reading because I'm really interested in this deck (and I still don't really see the combo with Codex Shredder)
My meta doesn't have much artifact hate and I have some fetches that should be traded asap to get this deck together.

Not sure about that list (it's certainly irregular) but Codex Shredder is played because it can retrieve anything from the graveyard. Notably Open the Vaults, Faith's Reward, and your wincon (if it can be discarded, such as Banefire).
I made top 4 on my local PPTQ. My list:
4 Faith's Reward
3 Open the Vaults
4 Reshape
4 Lotus Bloom
4 Krark-Clan Ironworks
4 Chromatic Star
4 Chromatic Sphere
4 Ichor Wellspring
3 Conjurer's Bauble
4 Serum Visions
1 Gitaxian Probe
1 Codex Shredder
1 Pyrite Spellbomb
4 Mox Opal
4 Darksteel Citadel
3 Ghost Quarter
2 Flooded Strand
5 Snow-Covered Island
1 Snow-Covered Plains
SB: 4 Leyline of Sanctity
SB: 3 Pact of Negation
SB: 2 Swan Song
SB: 3 Echoing Truth
SB: 1 Kiora's Dismissal
SB: 1 Slaughter Pact
SB: 1 Pithing Needle
Thanks for posting and grats on the finish! Would you mind describing your board choices and what comes in/out in different matchups? I'm having a hard time deciding what I don't need when comes time to board stuff in. I'm using the same main board as yours with the following sideboard:
The Spellskite are for a guy at the store that plays Bogles so I basically put them in the sideboard of everything I play. The Relic of Progenitus is for things like Dredge but I might bring it in against delve decks, not sure if I want to keep this in the board, maybe make it a second Swan Song or third Echoing Truth.
After testing I'm playing this sideboard:
4 Leyline of Sanctity
3 Echoing Truth
1 Pithing Needle
1 Kiora's Dismissal
1 Slaughter Pact
2 Swan Song
2 Pact of Negation
1 Day's Undoing
Counterspells are better than Defense Grid - they cost 0 or 1 mana not 2, they can be played proactively (grid is only reactively) which is important against other combo decks. On turn 4 1 counterspell is enough to overcome hate. And grid can can be destroyed with artifact hate, which opponents will 100% side in.
Another thing 4 cards against Stony Silence and other hard permanent hate is minimum, don't go below that number.
Spellskite is good sideboard card against twin and infect, not bogles. Don't get me wrong, this is great card against it but not in eggs. We are faster than auras, post side we have to focus on permanent hate.
If u really want to play gravehate I recommend Nihil Spellbomb or Tormod's Crypt. Personally I don't think it is worth playing it.
Turing - try my sideboard and be happy with better results
I also have problems with siding. After checking some lines my idea is to de out Day's Undoing if they are bad in match up, 1 mana ramp (Reshape on countermagic, Ironworks on faster decks), 1 Pyrite Spellbomb if it doesn't do anything than being wincon - against everything but decks with shuffle effects (Eldrazi or worldspine Wurm) Codex is better. The rest is 1-4 Serum Visions. It is nice to have them but after testing I realised that eggs and combo engine is more important than even great quality card.
Every deck which doesn't play many cards from hand (Grixis Control, all kind of Twins, U Tron, Scapeshift and so on), play discard (Jund, Abzan) or against grave decks (Living End, DredgeVine, Reanimator). Sometimes I side in Undoing only on play, on draw it's too dangerous. I'm still testing it against each match up. So far I draw from Undoing far more cards than opponent. Average is draw 4-5 cards. Eggs have unique ability for engine combo deck to play many permanents on first and second turn. And dream line with Undoing - T1 Citadel Mox 2 eggs, Bloom on suspend, T2 Land and cast Day's Undoing is insane.
