Allocate either Slagstorm or Volcanic Fallout in the 75 and the faeries matchup should be fine, we can burn their face way before they can attrition us out
One thing to consider when deciding Searing Blaze, over Searing Blood is that both require a creature to be on your opp side in order to work. Personally, I like the blood but I would want to test both. Quick question for everyone here, On average what turn is the kill for burn on the average deck. I ask simply because I am a standard burn player who is making the switch to modern as well and I am brewing my decklist but want to know how fast you guys go in order to make a few decisions.

I think you want to run both. Searing Blaze gets you 6 damage for 2 mana, and Searing Blood gets you 5 damage. The main difference is that Searing Blood is fully powered 100% of the time, but it's not going to kill Wild Nacatl, Kird Ape, etc... which is why I am feeling Searing Blaze is a must for burn decks right now. Both cards are good, and better than pretty much every other 2 mana spell we have available. I don't mind that they are reliant on an opponent having creatures on the board. The only deck they seem useless against is Tron and maybe Bogle.
Thanks for the infor, i would agree that running both does cover both sides better. I would think that the few times we didn't need them we could just sideboard them out for other, more relevant things depending on the deck.
In other news, what do you guys think of Satyr Firedancer? Not good enough for modern? or is he exactly what we need as it allows us to hit face without letting too many threats sit on board
So with the unbanning of Nactl and Bitterblossom, I think Searing Blaze is pretty much a must for the maindeck, which raises the prices because of fetches. Also, Volcanic Fallout isn't good enough anymore, I'm liking either Slagstorm or Anger of the Gods, although I'm leaning towards Slagstorm because it can hit the face.
I'm a big advocate of thunderous wrath as a one of in this deck. It's not likely you will draw it in your opening hand, and it's an amazing top deck. Maybe 2 at the most, but a second copy feels too clunky. Since we aren't drawing cards we also don't have to worry about drawing into it. It's worth playtesting I think, tell me what you guys think though.

Fallout is probably going to be a think with Faeries. I like Slagstorm, Anger of the Gods, etc... for dealing with Zoo, but I wouldn't write Fallout off just yet.

The thing is, Burn seems like it will have a good Faeries matchup anyways.
That really depends. Some builds might have a lot of fetch and shock lands, and if they fetch turn 1, and then fetch into a shock turn 2 to play Bitterblossom, sure, you will probably do well. They already put themselves down 4 life, and will be paying 1 life per turn for the rest of the game. That will probably go well for the burn players.
That doesn't mean that every player is going to run the same plan. Some might be strictly UB, and not pay life for anything outside of BB. It's really difficult to know how the match up is going to play out before we have any serious results with the deck in the Modern format.

Still, it is a slow deck that takes many turns to win, has a permanent that costs it 1 life each turn, and has no maindeck ways of gaining life. Burn seems like it would be strong against that.
We probably won't know until the Pro Tour what is really viable as a Faerie build. I agree, it looks good. Then the PT will come and some Fae list might win with maindeck Batterskull. The other issue too is that Spellstutter Sprite counters pretty much every spell in the deck. Combine that with turn 1 Inquisition of Kozilek and things might not be pretty. Also, a good player won't drop Bitterblossom against a deck like Burn, and usually you know it's Burn by turn 2.
Yeah, I keep forgetting that's a card. I think slagstorm's our best bet, unless blue-based tempo gets huge instead of zoo (probably not going to happen). Too bad neither one hits batterskull.

I am really liking the thought of Slagstorm over Fallout with Nacatl being a thing again. The only problem I have with SS vs VF is that VF hits players AND creatures, whereas Slag hits one or the other. I think the biggest determining factor will not only be how prevalent U is but how much they need to protect their creatures vs how popular x/3 creatures become vs x/2 creatures. If x/3 is popular, Anger of the Gods is a thought. However, while it is good vs annoyances like Finx, it does not hit face. Is that worth it?
Although with pod primed to become popular again, Anger of the Gods may be worth a try. I've also seen BGx and Jund bringing in the finks mb as part of their post-DRS ban plan.

Because fairies are back and flamebreak cant reach them
Silly Me forgot that part.
I would say that Searing Blaze is now a more relevant card and having some type of board sweeper in the 75 is key.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
