Anyone run chalice of the void sideboard? If so, what match ups do you like it in? What is your typical casting cost for it? X=1?
Chalice for 0 is great against:
Hive mind
This is bad as they cast their pact and its countered but you still have to copy the pact and pay for it.
After playing Chalice in UW control for a while I've just found that I love this card too much to not bring it to my midrange/control pod deck. It's awesome on 0 and 1. Sometimes 2.

I've just read the report of finalist of the GP Milan and I don't undestand why all those side out of pod. I disagree also on no presence of Slaughter Games effects, and in fact he lost twice against Scapeshift. (That thing made me win against Tron, which is incredible).
I agree with the Slaughter Games comment. I just added them to my SB game. May I ask, what did you name against Tron/what is best to name against Tron? Was it GR or UW? Trying to have all my "targets" ready, lol...
Against UW, one of the best cards you can name is Gifts Ungiven. It shuts down their combo pretty hard and forces them to draw and discard stuff with Thirst for Knowledge if they want to try using Unburial Rites.
Otherwise, most of their win conditions are one of or land (like Iona or Elesh Norn and Celestial Colonnade). Though Slaughter Games for Elesh Norn is completely viable, as that's one of the cards that they're going to go for ASAP against Pod.

vs RG Tron the most thing that would hurt pod the most for me will be the Karn Liberated, we can manage Wurmcoil pretty well, just my opinion. If UW without splash black i think the mindslaver? i did'nt have any experience dealing with UW Tron yet.

I used to play UW Tron, and unless they've got a ton of land out, I'd be naming Gifts Ungiven instead of Slaver. Gifts+Elesh Norn screws us pretty hard while we try to find an answer, same with Gifts+Iona naming Black.
I just watched the semifinals of gp madrid and saw pod beat up ascendancy. The odd thing though was that I think the pod-player misplayed badly. His board was voice and voice token and 4 untapped mana (and 1 tapped) and opponent reanimates Elesh Norn. Bellini just puts his voice and token in the graveyard and afterwards uses path to exile on elesh. If he had used path in response to voice trigger he should have gotten a voice token and ended the match like 10 turns earlier. None of the commentators commented on it, so figure it's something many could miss so just saying it here in case someone here encounters a similar situation.
Two points I have found interesting:
* he plays 3 strangleroot geist main deck along with 4 voice of resurgence. I really like strangleroot geist as - contrary to voice - it allows you to pod twice from 2 to 3 and therefore to go up the chain (the token is nice but - when needed - I really dislike to go up the chain from it);
* he only plays 3 birthing pod. There I do not see any reason since there is no replacement in his deck.
ya i can understand that. I found that cutting the chord left me with a spot I wasnt sure how to fill. i think i currently run 6 two drops, 8 three drops, 6 four drops, and two 5 drops. since chord is normally cast for a minimum of x=1-2 i was thinking of adding another 4-5 drop. I have built a more mid-range version and think that a wingmate roc would do wanders. any thoughts on that? or other creatures in other slots to replace my one-of chord?
i like swag and i see why he is good. but with so many goyfs in the meta right now, having the evasion and potential for way more life gain is absurd. but those are really the only two ive looked at. both are very situation i think. but i do agree that swag is super nasty. ive also seen some people on here considering a grave titan??? Isnt a six drop a little high? just curious.
I tried a Grave Titan, and he wasn't very good. There weren't many situations where I had a 5 drop and hadn't secured the game. I think another 5 is better.

Been busy with the holiday season and all. I'll get my first rounds in with Grave Titan this Friday. I'm trying -1 Spike Feeder, -1 Archangel of Thune (I run 2 normally) for +1 Grave Titan, +1 Thragtusk. If I were to use another 5 over Titan I think I would use Sigarda.

Evidently you haven't played very much versus control.
So has anyone figured out if any number of goyfs are ideal now? ive been trying 2 and 3. Still not sure. I think im sold on playing at least 2.
I cut him finally. He is mediocre with our setup.
Is there any reason someone can give me that will convince me to play Qasali Pridemage in my 75? Reclamation Sage is just better, and the only arguments I have heard for Pridemage over/in addition to Sage are 1) Torpor Orb and 2) Splinter Twin. But those are both terrible arguments. 1) Abrupt Decay (4 of them in the 75) 2) Abrupt Decay. Oh, and also Lightning Bolt.
Any other reasons I am missing? He has to be sac'ed and everything. Just seems wholly unnecessary.

I agree that Goyf is terrible in pod. If you want to play him so badly play Junk/Rock.
On qasali pridemage it depends on your pod curve. Pridemage is nice when you are doing the non pod midrange thing ala curve a hierarch into finks into pridemage and swing with 4/3 finks. I'm personally against Reclamation sage in the main because in some (most I think) matchups its a 2/1 for 3 and that is just gross to me.

Find something, Live For it, Fight for it, Die for it. Then it might get passed on the the next generation.
Gotta disagree about qasali. One thing about pridemage is that in a matchup where artifact destruction is useless pridemage is a stronger card. Reclamation Sage is only ever a 3-mana 2/1 while pridemage is a 2-mana 3/3 after exalted which is a big difference. Also aside from torpor orb I've had games where I've expected my opponent to play grafdigger's cage (in some situations we both saw it off courser) and so pre-emptively podded for qasali pridemage.
Lastly keep in mind that cutting either pridgemage or sage means you only have artifact destruction at either 2 or 3 cmc whereas playing both gives you tools at both.

Definitely not, Restoration Angel is one of the best cards in the deck. Some people have recently begun playing Pridemage and Sage in their maindeck for some reason, presumably to free up space in the sideboard, but unless you need more sideboard space it's probably best to play pridemage in the maindeck and a reclamation in the sideboard. That's been the standard for about as far back as I can remember.

Because it's slow and when we're not flashing in combo pieces it loses a lot of power as we want to actually tap our guys to attack.
