In the past, like, 6 matches we played...I did not see one Delver.I actually thought you cut them...but you only have 2.
I know you are somewhat suicidal, but you need to cut down on your 3 CMC stuff.
I would cut the Dimir Cutpurse. You know I hate that card. He does put the decks that I play in an awkward spot, I admit it. But he is also a 2/2 for 3. Your deck is playing a fast tempo game (which means it may not belong here ). I would try to jam 4 delver and cut the Cutpurses and play Goblin Guide.
Sword of Light and Shadow is awkward. It is bad to flip with Bob and your creatures are easy to kill, making it the antithesis of tempo. Cut em.
Slagstorm is both awkward for your mana and antisynergistic with your creatures. I would cut both. If you need board wipe, Engineered Explosives seems like it will fit your needs better. EE for will kill a flipped Delver, remember that.
-3 Cutpurse, -2 Sword, -2 Slagstorm
+2 Delver, + 4 Goblin Guide, +1 Appropriate land.
That is my suggestion.
I put the Delver's back in, then cut them again.
What would you consider an acceptable # of 3cc cards?
Dimir Cutpurse is one of my wincons, a Blightning every turn, he stays! Also, most games aren't very fast and tempoey for me; usually I have to win controlishly.
SoLaS: Very few decks run removal that's not Black or White, therefore, any creature equiped with SoLaS is virtually hexproof on top of the 3 lifegain and the returned creature from a graveyard. Hexproof + lifegain + card advantage = <3
You're right about slagstorm. I tried it out, and it didn't work so well. I also tried engineered explosives, and it also didn't work so well. So, I'm back to no global removal, relying on card advantage to get me the removal I need.
Overall, I'm just about ready to give up on this deck :(. I've tried just about every combination I can possibly come up with and it's just not that great. It's OK, as in better than most rogue decks, but it's just not good enough. Maybe I need to analyze the meta or something. O well.

Tell Zoo and Shamans that they don't run removal that's not black or white. Both decks run Lightning Bolt and aren't afraid to smack creatures with it. Zoo often runs Tribal Flames and will sometimes smack creatures with it (but will often just dome you for 5). Heck, UR Storm is sticking Lightning Bolts in the sideboard to roast your guys.

Aaand you've done it! Convinced me to switch over to Sword of Feast and Famine. So far, pretty good results.
Edit: New and improved decklist in case anyone cares:
sorry, but the above post....why is it in the 5cc/Cruel Control forum? It doesn't seem controlling and doesn't have cruel ultimatum (obv). Is there no other place to post about grixis aggro?
I have been running stephen Wilson's list that follows. I have been having good result but just wanted to know what you guys think would make the deck better?
In the list it allows me to run only a singleton cruel and more useful control cards due to the gifts ungiven package. The mana base is the part i wanted the most help with.
Are you having trouble casting certain spells when you need 2? They best way is to test...
Personally I cant see Rites being very useful to you and the singleton needle seems out of place.
It's for the gifts ungiven package. You tutor Unburial rites, Grave Titan, Cruel Ultimatum, Snapcaster so they are forced to give you what you want. **** is pro.
Or you can bin Unburial Rites and Grave Titan only, then flashback the Rites successfully guaranteed. However, if you're also tossing in Cruel Ultimatum, Argentum's pile is better.
Argentum is completely right. You cast giftsungiven and get unburial/ Cruel ultimatum/snapcaster/Grave titan. Because no matter what is put into the grave yard and what is put into the hand you essentially win the game. Anyway i think this kind of small gifts package backedup by the usual control cards is working wonderfully. This deck has a great matchup against zoo and other creature decks but struggles with storm. That being said the storm matchup is not unwinnable especially with 3 silence in the sideboard.
Although it has no Shocks or Fetches it functions quite well actually although a more streamlined mana base wouldn't hurt at all.
Also, I have no idea what to include in the sideboard. Ideas I've had so far encompass: Damnation, Surgical Extraction/Extripate and others that I can't remember right now.
P.S: This is the first time I used Deck tags in a post and it looks horrendous. How can I make it look better? And how do I add a sideboard? Thanks in advance!
Click "quote" under this repost to see how to do the deck lists & sideboard; you didn't miss much. How does it feel not having any snapcasters in the deck? to me, 8 creatures that aren't "finishers" per say seems high to me. how has that worked for you so far?
Batterskull. Provides much needed lifegain, has vigilance to protect planeswalkers and yourself. Late-game can equip and Tiago as well as protect itself. Very versatile.
Liliana of the Veil Jund still runs her w/o the Fire combo and she is still a house. I currently run her as a 2 of...+1 for control/combo...-2 for aggro..Hate to say that walkers are versatile considering they are suppose to be but I think Liliana has proved to be very powerful even w/o something like bloodghast.
spell pierce With my revitalized list I now run a playset of pierces. Against aggro it is still very useful. Zoo list run tribal flames etc...Jund best cards are probably of the non-creature variety(liliana, pulse, blightning etc), even against affinity it is still decent although probably its weakest.
Pierce also allows my control matchup to be much easier. A cruel deck, my cruel deck can't draw go with against another control deck. I just do not run enough counters so pierce allows me to strike first and give myself the upper hand. Turn 4 Mind rot, or Liliana.
Think Twice is just far superior to any other card draw we have availible outside of Charm. I only have room for 2 maindeck but have 1 more in the side for other control matchup. I have tested all the other 1cc sorceries and they are just not worth it. Run Think Twice.
I think 4 color cruel can match-up with any deck out there. Not saying its the best but I believe where modern is right now there is not a best deck. There are several decks out there that are the top and it comes down to playskill.
The board especially needs a lot of work; I'm also not completely happy with the mana yet. I want to cut some basics for more nonbasics, but I'm not quite sure how I want to do it.
