Quick question about Sorin, Solemn Visitor: Can he work outside of a bitterblossom-build? I dont really like BB, it's just too slow IMO. I'm dissatisfied with my 2 Elspeth, Knight-Errant right now and want to replace them with another bomb. Can Sorin 2.0 work here? I especially like the racing option from his +1 against other creature based decks, as my meta is heavy on aggro and midrange. My list for reference:

Lots of us run Sorin, Solemn Visitor with anywhere from one to four copies in lists without Bitterblossom. Currently I'm on three copies, but have usually played two. His +1 is very strong if you can get any kind of board presence.
I run 4 Sorin 2.0. I used to run 2 BB but it's just too slow so swapped back to raise the Alarm there. IMO Sorin is the ideal curve topper in a token deck. Hard to beat a lingering souls or spectral followed by a sorin.

I run 2 Sorin with no BB. Helps in racing, I don't think he is the ideal curve topper in a token decks. There is still nothing stronger than untapping with a Hero in play, but he's could be out next best thing.
That's turn 5 for the hero though and it's a lot easier to remove but it's a great card (I run 2) and on an empty board hero is better for sure. But if I have some tokens in play I'd run sorin out over hero most of the time.

Well, the default number for any legendary is 3 without a good reason to go higher. Running it would depend on the amount of Blood Moon and land destruction you see in your meta. I haven't felt the need in my environment.
The Legendary rule interaction is cute, but probably only a small effect. You're spending a land drop on a 2nd legendary to get another plains. Not that much of a ramp.
Well, if you get 2 of them is like a free fetchland, and if not is just like a simple plain. I am also running Ghost Quarter, which in some match ups is really useless, so autodestroying a Flagstone to Ghost Quarter could be a nice trick.
Flagstones of Trokair shines in Landfall decks or decks that run Knight of the Reliquary. The benefits seem small outside of those particular areas. Still, it doesn't really have much of a drawback outside of just being non-basic and vulnerable to the hate.
Personally, I can't see using it outside of the above circumstances except in a mono-W deck where there are plenty of Plains on hand.

Elspeth Tirel. Seriously, give her a shot. Sorin, Solemn Visitor feels very solid (I'm play testing one now), but Tirel is tried and true in a none BB environment. Every mode is relevant. Running behind against burn? Life gain. Need an army? Done. Just want to clear the field? Happily. She's a very real engine.
Elspeth Tirel is strong, never unhappy with her. But I play 14 token spells plus 3 hero so I feel that Sorin's impact can be felt consistently. Still, I feel that Tirel will always be strong, I just currently am enjoying Sorin.
That's kinda what I was thinking - just a not so easy to interact with "creature". But I also thought that even by turn 4 it'd only be a 2/2... if you wanted to activate it then.
Actually it could be a 2/2 attacking on turn 3.
T1 - this
T2 - Raise
T3 - Anthem and activate
???
I don't know, not amazing and not "OMGZzzzz needz to play this!!11!11!" but worth thinking about I think
It is similar to Shrine but very different at the same time.
Shrine of Loyal Legions
PROS
Gets bigger without you having to do anything to it (and also when playing spells)
It creates a bunch of tokens
CONS
Only used once
Susceptible to board wipes
Myth Realized
PROS
Gets more counters when playing the game/spells (similar to why delve is good...you're playing spells anyways)
Mana sink which can be good when you have nothing else to do
Doesn't die to board wipes
CONS
Dies to instant speed removal ("Dies to removal" is a horrible argument, but the flip side of this is that it doesn't die to sorcery speed board wipes)
No evasion or protection
"Vertical" creatures are generally worse than "Horizontal" creatures (Pyromancer)
Might be easier to deal with in Games 2/3 depending on how your opponents SB. Some people side in enchantment removal because of our anthems
I think it is better than Shrine. I also think that our deck is missing something early. I also don't think this is it. But I think it deserves some sort of consideration.
Another thing of note is that our deck could use something like a man land, and this is very similar to that.
Yea me too lol. Which means I could be searching for something that isn't really there. But that card has the most potential of anything I've seen. Except for some maybe SB cards.
