Anyone see any modern mono blue devotion based decklists?
Probably merfolk but using Nykthos, Master of Waves and Thassa?
I'm thinking the mana from Nykthos might allow cutting of the aether vials?
Anyone want to give a try at how this deck would look?
Thassa is run as a one of in some Merfolk lists. Nykthos is unecessary, there is nothing huge to spend it on, it is hard to get to the 2 mana to activate it, and it is legendary. It can't replace Aether Vial, which allows surprise blockers, instant speed tapping and untapping with Merrow Reejery, instant speed pumps from lords, and instant speed Cursecatchers in response to an instant or sorcery. Master of Waves is okay, but it seems like overkill and it is hard to cast in Merfolk.
Blue Fish is already insane and doesn't need any of this devotion gimmicky stuff to win. Blue Fish is a deck that can easily win by turn 5 provided the match up is even or in favor of Fish.
if you are trying to build around Modern Mono-blue devotion, I recommend checking out this thread. It is built around using Grand Architect and other blue creatures to increase devotion and take advantage of Master of Waves and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx.
Merfolk and devoted elementals.. (Including mutavaults). Indestructible 5/5 and returning all opponents permanents with cyclonic rift seems like it could be good
I mean it could be fun, it wouldn't be better than blue Fish, blue fish are insane, Id recommend stepping outside of the box and trying something with blue devotion without relying on Merfolk so heavily.
Based on what I saw on the GP Antwerp Stream, I think the core of the deck are the same creatures featured in the Grand Architect devotion thread posted above, MINUS the Grand Architect.
Apparently, one of the pilots was Raphael Levy, and he was a feature match on the GP Antwerp coverage page. It also appears that he has been playing the same deck since the last PT.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
I mean overloaded cyclonic rift is pretty good as a start..
Could the standard pro tour winning deck be adapted to anything that might work in modern?
It is a good idea and worth trying.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
UBRKess, Dissident MageUBR - Controlling Dissidents
GRhonas the IndomitableG - Indomitable Four Drops
WUBOloro, Ageless AsceticWUB - Loot & Renanimate
And nykthos
Why? How would that make the deck any better?
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Nykthos - no. Merfolk is a weenie deck, it doesnt ramp
Merfolk and devoted elementals.. (Including mutavaults). Indestructible 5/5 and returning all opponents permanents with cyclonic rift seems like it could be good
Extra mana to lvl coral helm as well
UBRKess, Dissident MageUBR - Controlling Dissidents
GRhonas the IndomitableG - Indomitable Four Drops
WUBOloro, Ageless AsceticWUB - Loot & Renanimate
I only saw a glimpse of the deck, but I think it ran Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, Tidebinder Mage, Omenspeaker, and a bunch more creatures w/ hybrid mana on them.
