The idea is to make an Esper deck that acts like Jund Midrange once did with Bloodbraid Elf creating an explosive board advantage. Although unlike Jund's aggro style beat down, Esper offers us more control based actions as we aim to hit that T4 or 5 Rites giving us a 6/6 beater and hopefully a Lilly if not a Jace or Clique depending on the board state. As for utility, Snapcaster is here to abuse the filled graveyard and Confidant is the obvious card advantage. I'm also considering dropping Tidehollow Sculler.
I haven't chosen what I want to use to fill my graveyard yet but I'm assuming it'll just be a few dredgers and some T1 discard power.
So yeah, lemme know what you guys think and please throw me some suggestions. I'm hoping that in these colors I should be able to create enough tempo to slow the game down for myself with cards like Remand and other early counters/removal.
With a high end curve like that, dark confidant is going to wipe the floor with you. If you feel a need to run a black card drawer, run phyrexian arena. Note that you're currently running 4x 5 cmc+ 4x 6 cmc (unburial rites/sun titan) which equates to a lot of pain!
4 Sun Titan
3 Vendilion Clique
4 Snapcaster Mage
4 Dark Confidant
3 Liliana of the Veil
1 Jace Beleren
4 Unburial Rites
4 Lingering Souls
