I doubt Twin is coming. I don't think we'll see any unbans until early next year, and I think it'll most likely be SFM.
The cynic in me says DDT in Legacy and Modern - the reprint would be mystifying otherwise. Unless of course it was 'to help delve be an archetype in the draft format'.
I firmly believe modern is in a pretty sweet spot at the moment, but I'd be keeping an eye on Dredge. Is it new toy surge or 'this is busted' surge?

@iDSurge: I know you're winking to the Twin impact, but are T2+ creature decks really that categorically hurt by Terminus? Swarm decks like Elves or Merfolk get shafted but I'd guess the more midrangish decks that ride fewer threats aren't punished nearly as badly.
T2ish Midrangey creature decks are almost byes for UW control with Terminus. I've been playing/forcing GWx creature decks in Modern since 2014 (Naya Company, Knightfall, Abzan Liege etc) and the matchup is that horrible. We very rarely clock them fast enough to put them into the 'Terminus now or Bust'situation. 1 or 2 removal spells on key targets buys enough time to comfortably set up a terminus. And post terminus recovery plays like CoCo or BBE are pretty anemic at that point in the game where they probably still have 3-4 mana up after terminus.
Contrary to the 'Terminus now or bust' that UW control experiences against the tier 1 aggro decks of the format, the GWx midrange side of things goes "Gaddock Teeg / Choke now or bust'
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
Twin could absolutely play Field of Ruin and Jace...
UR Twin had a silky mana base, it could definitely jam those cards in. Not so much Teferi without white.
Grixis Twin could play Fatal Push. Gasp?! and maybe even Shadow, go the fair beats or combo route! (I kidd, kinda).
I seriously doubt any changes occur this Monday. You're going to be super disappointed, Surge; those big unbans/bans don't occur until that Christmas or Jan unban.
I think modern is in a decent spot if we aren't quite on this extreme graveyard hate plan.

Treasure Cruise was also reprinted. I don't think that really means anything

Twin would keep Jace in the Sideboard, and Field wouldnt be necessary I dont think, I dont like the card, but I can already see it throwing a game when you need that Turn 4 Twin, and you have it as one of your starting lands.
If I have to play against Moderns field, they should have to play against Twin.
Somehow I doubt that "I'm having a bad time, therefore others should have a bad time" is the type of argument Wizards considers while entertaining a banlist update. The numbers are very clear: people love Modern. If you don't, I wish you luck and fun in Pauper and other formats!
A bit of a chuckle here that iDSurge's words ended up with my name on them. Perhaps I was always a supporter for the Twin unbanning but didn't know it? More confirmation, I suppose, that you shouldn't believe all the quotes you read on the internet. As first said by Abraham Lincoln.

There's also the whole thing about giving your opponents basics in a deck wanting to run Blood Moon and all... I would never put Field in a Twin deck.

We would definitely play Jace in the sideboard. I would probably play two copies, it's a pretty easy swap to replace Architect of Thought with Mindsculptor, although that does hurt you a bit in the mirror and against small creature swarm decks. I'm not positive we would run Field of Ruin, and if we did it would only be one copy. UR Twin typically ran two utility lands, and at least one of them was always Desolate Lighthouse. Some people ran a GQ or Tec Edge, but 2 Loothouses was the most common.

I'm really hoping they don't change the banlist this announcement because it'd be incredibly obnoxious to do so given that the RPTQs start next weekend. Or if they do, they exempt the RPTQs from the announcement.

I expect a banlist change after the next 2019 Modern PT, unless that PT isn't until later in the year. If so, I'd expect it in January. If that PT is February, I'd expect it right after. Next week should be a clear "No changes."
Speaking of which, does anyone else find it odd that they still haven't given us a PT schedule for next year? I don't remember it ever being this late.

I think it's going to involve Arena, and I think it's going to have more format experimentation. So they want to build up towards a much-hyped announcement.
there is a announcement on dec 6 about competitive play. considering its during the gameawards its likely to be related to arena, but will also contain info on the pt schedule. a couple arena pro-tours would make sense, which fits with there being more per year.

You don’t want to show all your programs flaws at an event that big. Way too much can go wrong in arena imo. And certain phases of the game don’t even work on arena.

I'm sure they are pushing to get a quality product without those errors ready by such an Arena PT. It's a perfect tie-in between Magic's biggest event and Wizards' most important product release. They might even get spectator mode together by then for added views. Even if not, the Twitch Arena plugin is groundbreaking for the viewer experience.

Guys, to expensive. 500 computers in a room full of people? Never
I agree with this, but I do think you can get 2 "master accounts" for feature matches. Grab the person's decklist, mirror their full 75 on Arena, and have that be the feature match. You could run 8 machines this way for backup feature matches throughout the whole weekend plus the full Top 8.

What is there that doesn't work? Literally everything works exactly as it should, and right now it has less bugs than MTGO. Also, HEarthstone has program flaws, still the events happen. Problems can happen to every "esports" style event and you just have to accept that.
