You know, I called for an Eye of Ugin ban two weeks ago and you guys all called it ridiculous. Who's laughing now that half of Twitch chat is calling for an emergency ban on Monday?

If they ban something, they might hit Eldrazi Temple instead. Eye of Ugin is replaceable with Sanctum of Ugin, but Eldrazi Temple isn't. Also, Eldrazi Temple can stack, unlike Eye of Ugin. Finally, there's less "collateral damage" because that doesn't affect Tron (which would probably suffer a lot more from an Eye of Ugin ban than the Eldrazi deck, because it's less able to replace Eye of Ugin with Sanctum of Ugin).
Let's be honest though: they're not going to emergency ban anything. Wizards loves this nonsense because it sells packs of OGW like nothing else.

What even beats this deck? Burn/Affinity/Infect can just get locked out by a t1 chalice, its so much bigger than Zoo, its threats are better than what midrange decks are packing and has a much faster clock + the potential to have a fast enough opener that no amount of interactive cards will beat it.
Thought Knot kind of craps on Combo too, a clock + taking the combo piece/enabler just wrecks any combo deck.

Considering this looks nothing like the horror affinity was, I doubt they will ban anything come monday and just let the dust settle first. Sideboards were a bit lacking in this entire PTQ vs the eldrazi and for good reason. The same thing happened with Infect back in Scars block and nothing really got banned because of it.
If this happens again after sideboard adjustment to the new meta then it is time to get out of eldrazi before it gets hit hard. Also, time to stop at my LGS to get the parts for UR eldrazi. I love izzet decks and an izzet eldrazi deck will be fun as nails.

That would be a shambles of epic proportions. Ban two decks to help propel your new set and then, because of that you have to start banning things to nerf the power of your new set pieces.
Still, some people would be happy and would praise their stweardship of the format. Bans are more exciting in Modern than most other events...

Mana Leak and Remand beats the CFB Eldrazi deck (not the most broken sequences, but that's true of any good aggro deck in Modern)
This was the list I sent to a friend of mine last week. I had considered Chalice + SSG, but thought it was too cute. I guess going bigger than GB(x) wasn't necessary after all.

Frank is managing to draw well against LSV while at 1, could go either way but probably LSV will win it and be in top 8. Frank can still get top 8 next round.

I'm not talking about a ban on Monday; I sure as heck don't think they'll do that. I'm talking about what they'll ban if they do decide to ban something in the future.
As for Affinity (I assume you're talking about Standard Affinity) and Infect, those aren't good comparisons. It might not be on the level of absurdity Affinity had, but remember Affinity was also Standard, so something has to be really crazy to get a ban because rotation takes care of things. As for Infect, Infect was never a problem in Standard or even remotely banworthy (there were at least three decks more banworthy at that point in Standard than Infect). But even if it had been an issue--which again, it wasn't--Infect as a competitive deck existed for only three months before it got effectively banned by rotation anyway.

Remand only delays the problem in most cases, Mana Leak can slow them down a bit but still isn't very good answer. Eldrazi creatures have etb abilities which trigger when they are being cast which means counter doesn't prevent them. You counter creature but ability still resolves which makes counters not so good against them.
Sorry, incorrect. NONE of the current Eldrazi are the ones that use the 'on cast' triggers. THOSE Eldrazi are Blight Herder, Oblivion Sower, and Ulamog, and NONE have seen any legitimate play here.

Both players mull to 6 or 5 with LSV on the play
Turn 1 LSV:
- Eye of Ugin
- 2 Eldrazi Mimics for [0]
With a turn 3 Thought-Knot Seer that makes the Mimics both 4/4...
And the announcers can't even keep up with the pace of how fast this meta is!
