Tooth & Nail........Grishoalbrand....Living Dominance....Tezzerator.........Vannifar Pod
My Decks that have been BANNED
DRS Jund | Kiki-Pod | Bloom Titan | Splinter Twin | KCI
I don't think that Abzan can utilize SFM as much as Mardu for example, because they have already extremly strong T2 plays and their removal/disruption is either limited or not efficient, especially against the land based ramp decks we are currently seeing.
There were games where the bloom player won without needing to even cast Summer Bloom. Multiple copies of Amulet + a bounce land were enough to get him there.
As for unbans:
Bloodbraid, Stoneforge, Ancestral Vision, Sword of the Meek
are probably all fine to come back.
Hive Mind - 24.1%
Summer Bloom - 26.7%
Amulet of Vigor - 17.9%
Cranial Plating - 4.8%
This also makes me somewhat sad, but at least those Bloom Titan numbers are not over 50%...yet...
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/
Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander -
Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Actually with both hivemind and summerbloom combined thats 50.8 percent of people JUST on this forum who feel the deck needs to be nerfed in some way. and knowing that a turn 2 titan is much more common than a turn 2 hivemind im gonna say its summer bloom that is the card that is making this deck bonkers. If they banned just hivemind for example, bloom could possibly still be tier 1 and have nut draws and still piss players off because its the mana excel that is what makes the deck insane. Is wizards willing to risk this? or are they just going to do what needs to be done and ban summer bloom.

If it's banned, we can go back to this from Tier 1...
Aggro - Burn and Affinity
Combo - Twin
Midrange - Jund
Control - Is this even considered an archetype by the masses anymore?

Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build)(dead format for me)Personally, I voted for SFM (along with a few other cards - not all at once but as candidates) not on a whim or out of fancy, but because I watched December's back-and-forth and believe the "No SFM" side got absolutely smoked.
This coming from someone who was staunchly opposed to unbanning SFM on December 1st of 2015.
Of course I can only speak for myself. Also I should probably add that it's not my first choice for unbanning this month, but I'd certainly be happy to see it come off then too.
WUBRG Humans
BRW Mardu Pyromancer
UW UW "Control"
UR Blue Moon
then you can keep Amulet around too (banning bloom of course)
this will cement artifacts as one of the main card types in the format for quite some time
Stoneforge would likely up the numbers of Stony in sideboards, but don't forget that those same white decks may be packing her herself, which creates a tension in running Stony. However I can definitely see the stock of cards like Ancient Grudge rising a bit since it can turn not one but two Stoneforges into Squires.
Whatever the case, I can't see it being something that knocks Affinity from its perch as a format pillar. Affinity hate is already a good chunk of Modern's sideboards (and sometimes maindecks), and it's still one of the top decks by performance and meta game share.

If they had to ban anything though it should weaken the deck, not destroy it completely. Banning Sunhome would stop any crazy fast wins while still allowing the deck to continue to be played. Solves the "too quick" problem and doesn't crush some people's favourite deck.
Jund is in such a shockingly bad place right now though. Hasn't won an event in... More than a year? Tron and eldrazi running wild. Numbers falling away like mad. It's a good time to see if bloodbraid can work a little magic and at least get the deck back into a respectful position. Unfortunately I don't think wizards' decision to unban a card will incorporate the current metagame, probably being a larger snapshot of the last three to six months.
I can dream. My jund deck has sat, unloved, since bloodbraid was banned. Maybe I could dust of my goyfs and lillies once again this January :). That's my hope, anyway.
Personally the card that would need to get banned in bloom is amulet. That's the true enabler. The deck will still function, just a whole lot slower.
I really like sfm but I'm not sure it's the right choice based on the fact that powerful equipment will keep getting printed. I think the fear is a polarizing of the field towards sfm, killing variety. I mean who wants to see 32 sfm in a top 8? The card is that good.
I can't think of anything else worth banning.
Maybe Eldrazi is in response to Jund's dominance. They can slow down, Tron/Twin/Bloom/Affinity/burn, and ive been hearing some bad things about instant reanimater too. But its hard to ban something from Jund without destroying other decks, nothing by its self is that broken. Banning from these decks should allow other t2/1.5 to become stroner and a leveler playing field... idk I'm happy for WotC to ban stuff in modern and experiment, they might come back, or take other stuff off the ban list if the power creep goes up... (some are probably nevers tho, could make a vintage-modern format with them all).
So these are the cards I think should be banned:
Summers Bloom
Mox Opal
Glistner Elf
Eldrazi Temple
Deceiver Exarch
Eidolon of the Great Revel
Karn Liberated
Goryo's Vengeance
Or Unban:
Birthing Pod
Bloodbraid Elf
Sword of the Meek
and extra or Extreem unban:
Second Sunrise
Deathrite Shaman
Jace, the Mind Scuptor
Mental Misstep
Punishing Fire
Seething Song
Stoneforge Mystic
Legacy: Dark Depths, Pox, Eldrazi Agro
Vintage: Dark Depths, Grey Orge
Pauper: Faerie Ninja
7pt Highlander: BW Combo
EDH: Horobi, (t)Toshiro, (t)Isamaru

Ok, from now on I need you to say that before every Modern Pro Tour, I wanna see Jund win that thing!
In all seriousness, the current meta is pretty hostile to Jund, but I would like to wait and see what the effect the Eldrazi Deck has on the meta and what happens after the Bans. As much as I like Jund, there is too much recent metagame shifting to determine if anything needs to be done.
Bloom Titan is showing documented results of this happening and getting stronger. My feeling is they will ban Summer Bloom to simply slow the deck down and not totally kill it. The deck can still play 4 Azuza and slow it down a turn or 2. Amulet is a good card, but feel without the ability to play 4 additional lands on T2 would slow the deck down to a reasonable pace and fit into WOTC's T4 rule.
Other than that, don't really see any other card "warping" the format in modern right now. As far as unbans, could see SFM come off, not sure if they would unban both SFM and Sword of the Meek together. Think Pod could come off the list in the near future as how the meta is shaking out with tron and eldrazi decks, Pod would not be that great now. Would the old pod enthusiasts pick it right back up, sure!
Ban slayers stronghold to slow bloom down. If bloom goes the deck isnt playable. Playing 4 azusa or explore isnt good enough for modern.
Pod is one of the last few cards to get an unban...
One card i highly doubt will actually be banned, but wouldn't mind at all, is simian spirit guide. It exists only to do stupid things. It's not breaking the meta right now, but i feel if there's ever going to be a combo deck that really breaks modern (as in affinity/cawblade level breaks), it's going to play four of SSG.
Goblins
EDH
Derevi
Summer bloom
Amulet of Vigor
Hive Mind
Which ban you think will have the least impact to the Bloom Titan deck?
I will choose Summer bloom.
Anything, but nothing at the moment...

I`m not sure if I think Bloom Titan is that big of a problem, but personally I don`t like what the deck does to the format and I wouldn`t shed a tear for it if it was banned, but on the other hand, I think that they`re very careful with banning decks like that, and if it happens, I`m not looking forward to seeing any more of the incessant complaining that followed the Birthing Pod ban. One top deck got banned, and suddenly everyone starts group chanting how Modern is a rotating format and no deck is safe from WotC`s completely random banhammer. "Don`t buy into Modern, guys, because your deck might be randomly banned at any time"... plz. That`s rage-fueled hyperbole. I truly feel for the Pod players that lost their beloved deck, I do, but do we really want them to not make efforts to keep the format healthy?
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
