The Other Eldrazi do what the Endless One does, so Ill run one of them once they are out.
First, two buildings are different. Second, I'm seeing many mono b players going to 3 eye of ugin
I don't know about mono-black but in BW I went to a 2-2 ratio of Urborg and Eye (and no X-maps) and I am still having to lotus petal them sometimes. It can actually be a little frustrating. From watching the YouTubes a lot (because this deck is way too much to watch and play in all its variants) I think 4 Eye of Ugins is far too many even in the Mono Black version that is more reliant on them. Just my thought process anyway.
Yep - I can't imagine why anyone would want to be on the 4 eye 4 urborg plan, it's just too many legendary lands for no reason, ESPECIALLY if you run any amount of maps. I'm on 3 Eyes/2 Urborg/2 map and I haven't had any problems. Running maps is great too because you can toolbox your manabase more effectively because you're effectively running 3 copies of any land which makes things like Tomb of the Spirit Dragon, Sea Gate Wreckage, and Bojuka Bog much more useful.

At the moment I am running 3 with 2 maps, I have been thinking of going to 4 and less maps with Reshaper and Thought-Knot coming out!
That seems like maybe backwards thinking? (that sounds insulting and not my intention but hear me out). With Reshaper.. you wouldn't want to reveal an Eye if you already have one. In this instance an Map would be better because it still comes into play and is effectively any other land still left in your deck as you can tutor for it. Thought-Knot makes a bit more sense because you want to hit it on curve as often as possible and not remove too many cards from your deck to do so (likely sacrificing Turn 1 discard for potential turn 2 Mega-value). So when I say backwards I mean more from Reshaper because I'd rather hit a "tutor for any land in your deck" over an extra copy of a legendary land which either ends up as a dead card in your hand and nets you little value or you put it into play and legendary rule one of them away.

I am going to test out 2 maps tonight for the utility reason as well. I don't think I'll go to 3 Eyes just yet though. I play the BW version so my Tomb of the Spirit Dragon is a Vault of the Archangel which has been a dumb value house. Some games I activate it once to get my lifetotal to ~30 and other times I just bluff it so they can either block and guaranteed to lose their things or take the damage and hope to crackback. Funny part is (well funny for me) that crackback isn't nearly as good if I activate it after no blockers declared and gain all the life anyway. Most people just throw their things in the way and cry a little inside (especially when you are killing slightly larger creatures that would normally be find to block. Ie Wall of roots blocking a 4/5 Herder.)

Yeah there is that chance 3/50~, I was thinking of getting him on the board faster first, Higher chance in starting hand. And the Map does cost 2 tapped lands to activate.. It would be a bit of a waste if that does happen, but at least you won't draw it next turn. If you do have Urborg down, then u can tap it twice!
What do you guys think of Sanctum of Ugin as another colorless source in Mono-Black?
Makes Ulamog even more of an auto-win if you can chain him into a second one. Also adds value to All is Dust and Ruin Processor if you run those.
Running more colorless-requiring cards also makes Mind Stone look better again, just sayin'

If you can cast a spell, you're doing well, If you can't, that's okay, too. It usually takes a few turns before you have enough mana to do anything. Meanwhile, you should figure out whether you need to discard (p.11). Then announce the end of your turn, and let your opponent have a go.

Agreed 100%. People just want to bash face, but our deck just isn't good at that. I think wail, thought knot, and the flicker eldrazi are really the most playable cards in the set.
This is my thoughts exactly. I'm still messing around with the mana just to splash white just for eldrazi displacer (4 caves and 4 cavern). Thought knot is most certainly a 4 of. I'm trying out wail as a 2 of. The other cards in the set are also good, but I'm most excited about those 3.
Well, if anyone got inquisition to kozileks feel lucky because the price just spiked into 30 usd range. That pretty much just killed my ability to afford them now for the deck. So, looks like Duress mainboard it is. Anyone know any effective alternatives to Inquisition of Kozilek or are we all just boned by a buyout and no reprint?
Thoughtseize, Thought-knot Seer!! I guess duress will have to be the next one down! I don't think burn is a good enough reason to not run thoughtseize, If you are concerned run a Ruin Processor and some Vampiric link. Thoughtseize grabs almost everything!!
Yeah, considering I got three thoughtseize running around I could probably just survive off a mix of 2-3 duress and 3 Thoughtseize. Funny how the tables have turned on that one.

OMG. That Heartless Summoning All-In Ramp deck is crazy powerful.
Conduit of Ruin into Kozilek or Ulamog is just INSANE, and between Heartless Summoning, Eye of Ugin, Conduit, and Temple, you have so much guaranteed ramp. Thought-Knot Seer as a 4-of in addition to Inquisition and Thoughtseize paves the way for destruction and the deck is almost unbeatable. It's like playing RG Tron with disruption and some midrange game.
I think some version of this will be the strongest Eldrazi deck going forward post-OGW:

Still in my head they haven't lol INQ needs another reprinting, having a $40 unc is redic. Thoughtsieze has to be more powerful still, just being scared of burn isn't much of a reason. We don't have any pain lands. Duress will work against burn quite well, it could even go in my SB.... I think i have seen some lits that do run it. Once Matter Reshaper hits, it should make it easier against agro, and probably better to run Thoughtseize... I only thought Inq would be better in legacy pox hahah but thoughtseize is still the go !!
Druess will be good against: Tron, Burn, Affinity, control, Twin, Bloom, few others, but yeah.... i guess there is always Tidehollower schuller for BW

You could find a space for Ruin Processor in the main, as a bit of help, this could become a toolbox with Conduit of Ruin, and Sanctum of Ugin!
I think B<> Heartless Eldrazi is far enough removed from B<> Processors that Ruin isn't guaranteed to go off, but I could be wrong. It might still work as a sideboard card. I know I personally am going to be trying out the Heartless Eldrazi build post-OGW (I love Heartless, have had a for-fun deck since Innistrad and it's the bomb.), I feel it could be a nice contender (probably not as good as Processors as it isn't as controlly).

the -1/-1 isnt a big deal, it can still run Flaying Tendrils and survive! It puts things in Bolt range but too easy to cast!
It Runs 4 Eye and 4 Map, 4 Urborg!
I went in last week with 4 Thoughtseize, 3 Duress, and a single Inquisition. When Seer hits, that'll likely become 3 Thoughtseize 3 Duress. I like Duress more than Inquisition because it hits more important things, especially Splinter Twin, Karn Liberated, and Hive Mind. Cheap creatures we can generally just Strangle away.

I think the Heartless version with 3-4 Conduit is BETTER than all the Processor versions. It's like the difference between RG Tron and UW or Mono U Tron, to be honest. Ux Tron tries to play a slower game with the big finish, but RG tron just gets to the point and tries to get there as fast as possible. Heartless Eldrazi is the same way - it just accelerates into the end-game rather than try to play fair early on - even though it can still fight on the ground with its Eldrazi.
There are so many different dimensions to this deck, I <3 it!
<> as its base, have seen a colourless chalice deck
B<> Processors, my fav atm can shut down quite a few decks
B<> Heartless, Heartless big things!
BW<>, PtE and Lingering to slow them, better againt agro
BR<>, Pilar of Flame and steal creature!
BU<>, Can tap down their things!! and Ashoki!
I can see this being like GR Tron, U Tron, UW Tron, IDK maybe tron will merge with this and go crazyier

What does it mean when the land gives your creature fear?
To further elaborate on fear: It makes your legendary creature beat face by showing all those posers in the other colors besides black how boss being legendary is. Man did Kamigawa block have some great support lands.
Also, after looking into it I think that given the price spike on Inquisition of Kozilek the next best thing would be to try a different angle and go for Funeral Charm. You lose the ability to force the opponent to discard a specific card, but instead we have an instant speed discard spell that can also give a creature swamp walk, kill an annoying weenie critter, or buff an attacker for two extra damage. Given we have Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth the swampwalk mode is better than it may seem.

Maybe I am playing this wrong, but my god it felt awful at FNM. Got my ass kicked by Tooth and Nail and Mill for Christ sakes. Barely beat Elves and he misplayed badly. Should have been 0-3.
This deck, at least when I pilot the BW version, seems like it loses hard to random tier 3 decks. Did not enjoy.
Keep it togather guys. I know a lot of exiting cards got spoiled, and people have strong feelings about how the deck should be played, but the truth is there still isnt enough data to back anything is better than anything. Keep your cool.
