Police cards to the rescue! Show Wizards that we don't need their heavyhanded intervention to regulate our format!
We really need more cards like Blood Moon introduced into Modern. Unfortunately R&D has been so overly traumatized by police cards that oppress popular strategies that we will never get something aggressively pushed for the format.
I don't know if anyone has done this yet, but I looked up the decks for all the people with 21 points or more in the modern portion of the tournament. (62 players total, with 61 decks I could find).
I also apologize for my poor formatting, not sure how to do column alignment here.

Police cards to the rescue! Show Wizards that we don't need their heavyhanded intervention to regulate our format!
On the other hand its possible something like this can show wizards that more nonbasic land hate is necessary and we may finally get something closer to wasteland to make these 3 color goodstuff decks less perfect manawise
The problem is that it has to pass through standard, which rules out anything even close to wasteland.
It is unfortunate there isn't a way to introduce cards just to modern...I guess they could if they decide to use Modern Masters that way, but it is supposed to be all reprints for Modern cards.

Well hate cards can backfire too.
Remember last season with the five color hoses in M14. Lifebane Zombie and Tidebinder Mage were so much better than the others and punished the other colors heavily. Especially Lifebane since you could do nothing about it besides not playing green or white creatures.
People have asked MaRo if they could introduce cards to Modern in a supplemental without having them pass through Standard. He said that that's not how they do it atm, but that it's not completely out of the question.
A better Bloom comparison is Blazing SHoal infect deck which Sam Black also played, and it got banned shortly after making it's tournament appearance.
Blazing Shoal was a fast combo deck that could easily restock it's hand after a fail, because it played Transmute and Pact cards.
Bloom is a fast combo deck that can easily restock it's hand after a fail, because it plays transmute and Pact cards...
Players on MTGO complained about the deck a year ago because most decks just couldn't react to it's cards, but very few people played it because it was very inconsistant.
The fact that only 8 people turned up with Amulet Bloom, they all Day 2'ed and four of them Top 32'ed (and we so nearly had two in the Top 8) means I suspect something will get banned on it. It's a consistent non-interactive Turn 3 win, which in a format without safety valve cards like FoW is a big no-no in Wizard's book.
The deck has a ridiculous day 2 rate at GP's as well. It's quietly (or maybe not so quiet anymore) the best deck in the format, and it was when Pod and Delver were things too.
It only has so good winrates because so few play it and people don't prepare for it.
There is no way that a fragile combo deck like that would ever get near the metashare of an all around good and hard to counter deck like junk.
I want to thank everyone here for the wonderful time. Congratulations to Antonio Del Moral Leon and Justin Cohen. That Amulet Bloom deck had our heads spinning.
And this is what happens when a few sideboard cards can destroy a whole deck, which few sideboard cards do in most matchups. Calling for bans on bloom which can be shut down easily if people sideboard for it is dumb. Now people know its around, and may sideboard for it now, which will make its win % drastically drop.
I have to kinda agree with Randy there
Bad against the best deck, good against everything else pretty much sums up Twin
That's probably why BG/x and Twin are kinda interconnected. Sure facing off against Abzan itself is miserable but all the decks trying to attack Abzan get eaten alive by Twin. Anti-Abzan GWb aggro, GR Tron, this Amulet deck, etc.
Does anyone feel like this was more of a Grand Prix with some limited than an actual Pro Tour? Pro Tour Valencia seemed a lot more exciting (though that might just be because we had less of an idea of what to expect from the meta).
Ur twin wins, interesting. This is interesting because the deck can't beat junk game 1 almost at all and has to rely on bloodmooning or midranging them game 2. Certainly ur is what is the style of twin for the whole metagame but I wonder what could be done img those two colors to help the junk matchup

Blood Moon is a card most decks cannot use, your argument is like saying Storm doesn't deserve any bans because Ethersworn Canonist exists.
Twin is back. Abzan will send in the rhinos to keep it down

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
As dumb as that line is, it DID win him the game every time he casted it.
