So that's why I'm facing so many RG trons in the queues. Damn netdeckers.
Really? Now you're hating on netdeckers? Why do you even post here? Why do you even play these formats? If you hate netdecking so much why not just go play casual?

Modern (I collect the format):
WURDelver
[/MANA]MANA]R[/MANA]GTron WDeath and Taxes WSoul Sisters RWG Pod Combo URSplinter Twin URStorm RBurn
No no, seriously, I join the queues and I face 3 rg tron in a row. I open the latest Modern daily event, I check for the grinders, I find YYsapporo vs batutinha, both playing rg tron wtf?
I'm really surprised that after 1 guy won a PTQ with x "new" deck, SO many people just copy and paste.
If I tell you the truth, I wanted to play RG tron since maybe 2 months ago already, just didn't try it because primeval titans were so expensive. But this version people are playing doesn't use titans. And now I don't wanna play it since everybody does so :D. Just a random comment.

Whenever a deck does well, or is featured by a pro, it tends to be extrememly popular the next day. Can't blame people for trying it out.

It's a really strong deck that is really easy to put together, and it can win against the field. Of course you're going to see it everywhere. Does that suck? Yep. Is that new to Magic? Nope, not at all.
I'd say prepare to see it everywhere. Honestly, how do you effectively hate against Tron decks?
A clock and some disruption will get you there. The all in ramp strategy of this deck makes it harder to disrupt or race though. At least it should be soft to combo. He did beat a splinter twin deck in the semifinals 2-1, basically got a karn down started exiling lands so that they never got to splintertwin mana and mind slavering them asap.

I play Melira Pod, amongst other decks, and have switched to Fulminator Mage and Acidic Slime main deck to try to deal with Trons. I suppose Aven Mindcensor is another decent one to try...
Ported the maindeck to Cockatrice and pitted it against a Mono-B Zombies Smallpox deck I leeched and modified from the MTGO Dailies. (Your Zombies are power1-drops, Geralf's Messenger, and Mutavault. It's surprisingly good, especially since it can beat you up on only 1 land.) The Zombies Smallpox deck kept winning. Granted, I can see how it kept winning with Smallpox constantly disrupting the Tron, but enough targeted discard on the mana rocks and the deck does tend to fold.
What that deck really feels like is Karn.dec. Seriously, you're probably winning most of your games after Karn has popped his ultimate at least once. The incredible number of cantrips in this deck definitely help you get to Karn Liberated.

A daily event 4-0 was with this decklist (the same, it looks like) and this sideboard
I watched most of the games of the guy that won the PTQ, and most of his wins were off of going crazy fast to Emrakul or controlling the game with Karn. I don't think I saw him restart the game at all, but Karn is just nuts at controlling the board and their hand, especially if you have a bunch of mindslavers going as well.
The Pox deck would possibly be one of the worst matchups, but it isn't really being played. Every deck has lowsy matchups, and Tron is especially vulnerable to specific land hate.
PTQ in Allentown PA was won by Affinity/Artifact Aggro.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.

Congrats! Did you play the Gifts Rock guy? Love to see what his decklist was like I've been fiddling with a list ever since I got tired of using Tron to go Unburial+Iona.

How does this deck not benefit from the inclusion of primeval titan??

Why cast Primeval Titan on turn 4/5/6 when you can consistently get Emrakul out on turn 5 or Karn on turn 3?
Online PTQ was Caw vs Twin in the final, Twin timed out comboing out for 6 minutes in Game 2 (he had 1:30 left after he won game 2). It's why I really hate playing Twin online.
1: RUW Delver w/ Molten Rains
2-4: Other RUW Delver variants
5-8: GRB Aggro-Loam
Someone who just conceded once he got into the top 8
I think Melira Pod
and I didn't see the other deck that top 8ed because I was out back with a migraine.

Granted I don't have much knowledge of the deck, but how does one 'consistently' cast Emrakul on turn 5 with the RG Tron deck?

Between the maps, explores, card draw from artifacts, ancient stirrings to just find Emrakul or more maps or lands, and searching for Emrakul with Eye of Ugin, the guy that won the PTQ had him out turn 5 and 6 pretty often
That is the most vile, evil looking deck I have seen in quite some time. It is packing many of the cards that fill me with impotent rage, because they raise my blood pressure but are not actually broken enough to be ban worthy. If you found a way to add in Shackles I would probably spout incoherent babble and spray spittle all over my laptop.

It's a very cheap deck to build. The same appeal as BW Tokens. That's why you're seeing it so much.

How does this deck even play out? It seems like it does nothing in the first 3 turns, wouldn't it just die to aggro?
