What do people do about Sigarda? I have trouble with her. Mainly in Kiki-Pod. Between trying to stop pod from resolving, getting rid of finks and resto angel, I find it pretty tough. If you wait too long they just get play her or pod into her.
This is related to the problem Bahamut mentioned, stalling and then eventually they land something you can't deal with. Like Sigarda, or you've just exhausted all your resources that you can't deal with the Finks that's blocking your Geist.
I admit I cut Cryptic after having mana problems so maybe I should go back to that?
Phyrexian Metamorph (I play one main and one side) and Phantasmal Image works well against legendary threats like Thrun and Sigarda. They're also great for copying your own Snapcasters, Resto Angels and Thundermaws.

Pod should be a great matchup. Burning dorks left and right, pathing finks, slapping them in the face when they pay 2 life to cast Pod, only to have it Remanded...I'm pretty sure if you lose to Pod you kept a suboptimal hand or you drew dead for multiple turns.
As for dealing with a resolved Sigarda...I mean, you're running cliques right? Or resto angels? A double block will solve a lot of problems. Cryptic will keep her and any pesky finks tapped all day. Some people side sweepers; bring those in game 2. Maybe play some Phantasmal Images if your meta is legendary heavy?

I did have a series of games, maybe 4/8 where I was stuck on three or four land the whole game (I play 25 lands) so that could be a reason. But even the games where I was hitting my land drops I felt were tough. Finks is pretty tough, obviously path works but that just ramps them. And it might sound stupid, but Wall of Roots is a problem card for me. It accelerates them and blocks all your ground guys. You can't bolt/helix it most of the time and then it just gets podded into Finks. I will give Cryptic a go though. I don't think I gave it a fair shake - I didn't have 3U a few games and ditched it. I will also try some sweepers and maybe Spellsnare. Post board I tried Mindcensor but it just got Staticastered so those can maybe go. Just have to figure out what comes out for Cryptics and possibly the Snares. Thx.
Here are the decks that were played at my FNM tonight:
2x Infect (one player usually plays either infect or goblins)
2x Control
1x Tron (he plays eggs sometimes)
2x Pod
Am I making the right choice in building Geist for my meta? I'm finding it tough cause people in my group have so many decks its hard to know what to prepare for!

No problem. Wall of Roots might be tough to remove but don't forget you can still swing with Geist and get in for 4 in the air. Also, don't be afraid to bolt finks. That 2 life is relevant but making sure that thing has a -1/-1 counter on it is important. You can do stupid stuff with a fresh finks and Pod. Mystic Gate can help you with your triple blue problems.

I think so. Against Infect, you just hold back your bolts until they blow their pump spells; play reactively and you should get 'em every time. Against Control, you just have to try and get something to stick. Also, you will have a lot less countermagic than they will, so it's unlikely you'll actually counter anything. Play some Counterflux in your sideboard to make sure the dangerous crap stays countered. Tron is a rough matchup, you'll just have to do your best. And finally, as we were discussing before, Pod is a good matchup for Geist.

Mystic Gate is a good call. Will try that. Finks is pretty annoying. It seems to always get reset when I play Pod. I think the Cryptics will get me there. I used to play Mono-U Faeries and I always won the Pod matchup off the back of Cryptic. I don't see how Faeries can have a better match up than UWR.

Alternately, given that their stuff sucks, main phase burn anytime they tap out where feasible.
