but what about the green splash ?
And for some decks like zoo, I think lightning bolts will be nice. The only deck I think can beat Hive mind easily is zoo
I was avoiding the green splash because it makes it impossible for me to run maindeck Blood Moon, which is like a double or triple time walk against a lot of decks. This deck also runs the All In Red (AIR) package of Simian Spirit Guide and Rite of Flame for some powerful turn 2 Blood Moons to totally shut a control deck down. If we splash green, we really can't run the Moons anymore, and that's a card that is totally unfair in this format.
As to Zoo, I am surprised that you are having trouble in the matchup. The only scary creature they can play is Gaddock Teeg, and if you are having trouble with maindeck Teegs I highly suggest ditching either Remand or Condescend and using Magma Jet instead. Otherwise, this deck is totally capable of going off on turn 3-5, which gives you more than enough time to race Zoo. Remember, they cannot use Qasali Pridemage in response to you casting a Pact, or before you have cast the Pact. Once Hive Mind resolves, you keep priority and immediately Pact. As soon as you do that, the Hive Mind trigger goes on the stack, and Pridemage is sitting there looking embarrassed. Not even Krosan Grip can stop the comboing process!
the one thing about zoo is they can sometimes win on their upkeep with bolts and such. But there arent many bad matchups, control has to counter EVERY moon and EVERY hivemind. The one thing is i might add a 2nd wincon in case hivemind gets extirpated or something a long those lines

P.S im sorry that this "wall" of text is very scary and menacing but i believe you can do it the lack of gramer and punctuation is because i have a blood fued with it due to the fact when i was four and the teacher said i would die poor and lonely and the kids would dance on my grave when i died because i could not correctly punctuate with commas
Thats the point. With green splash, you can take emrakul and use Jhoira. The only thing thats going to change is the land list, instead of taking something like 5 montains, you get 4 Stomping Ground and 1 montain, and we have fetch lands too. But the problem is if you want to use Blood Moons, as he sad, its impossible to use green splash with blood moon.
Is this deck still being developed by the posters in this thread? Hive Mind is a presence in the meta which I think should be tested against, and am looking for a solid, up to date, list to use for that purpose.
Hive mind is really competative, but, people won't believe it until they see it do well. I would recommend trying mikeg542's list on page 1. It's really solid.

the main problem with this deck is that it is easily disrupted. The good thing is the only deck in the format that runs any disruption is Jund. I see this deck being very powerful against 12 post which means the deck itself will be competitive as most decks that could roll this deck lose to both 12post and zoo.

Hive Mind deck went 4-0 in a DE today. Full list should be up at some point tomorrow.
I also played against one in another DE earlier today, and it seemed like a really interesting deck - I hadn't seen it or heard of the combo before. (I wound up winning in 3 games, but the guy took G1 very quickly.) Seeing lots of combo decks in the MTGO meta recently.

I'm thinking to try to transform Maindeck to Dragonstorm after sidebording.
Normally in 2nd game no one side in the Mindbreak Trap to deal with Hive mind.
So how do u think if we transform win condition from Hive Mind to Dragonstorm?
Coz 2 decks have the same clock.
Still tweaking the board, but I like the direction right now. The Ethereal Usher may not even be right. I've also seen that the bounce could be repeals, but are needed against ascension. Spell Pierce is a consideration. The rest of the board I have liked in testing thus so far.
I've been able to win via both combos and it helps prevent just auto-losing to hate.
I have only played in one Daily with this, but I lost against Smallpox and Dragonstorm. Smallpox I made a play mistake by playing a card that I didn't need to and then got forced to discard a combo piece, and Dragonstorm was a bit of a battle, but we basically had the same clock, and the games he won were the ones he went first (I also feel that I should've sided in the Dispels, which I did not).
Pongify seems strange to some, but it's been fairly helpful. It's a dead card against most combo decks, but it's been helpful against decks like Zoo (Gaddock Teeg, Knight of the Reliquary, Goyf) and Dragonstorm (kills Karthas, giving you another turn or two). Mono-G 12-post is a bit neutral (can get rid of a Primeval, but they're fairly close to Emrakul mana when it enters the battlefield. It might give you an extra turn, but it probably won't). I originally wanted something to keep Teeg in check, since if they play it game 1, it's usually an auto-lose.
Sadly, Zoo isn't the big-scary monster everybody thought it was going to be, so I'm debating switching it to Remand, and changing the single one in the sideboard to another Firespout.
I have been testing a straight combo version that looks to go off fast. I don't have it available as I'm at work and don't have access to my MODO account.

I've been using this for the board. I'm really unsure on the Vendilion Cliques, but not sure what else is good against blue based control decks. Gigadrowse almost would be except the requiring a bit of mana to really be effective.
