I have always wanted to make a Stuffy Doll deck, and last week's FNM at the local shop someone was running one. One particular set of players took a long time in their round, so the Stuffy pilot and I were just casually talking about his deck. We were tooling with the idea of Prey Upon and Ulvenwald Tracker. I had suggested throwing in a Gorgon Flail onto Stuffy and turning each Tracker ability into spot removal. So the RG Stuffy idea was born (at least to us.) Throwing a decklist together, wondering if it is even going to be viable, let alone throwing into a friendly Modern tourney.
Sideboard should be able to take care of my current meta, alot of o rings and journeys being thrown around, and I am sure I saw at least 1 tron deck. Thanks in advance, lookin forward to the advice.
You'll probably want snow capabilities for Skred, mostly, but you can also use into the north and scrying sheets for card advantage. it will allow you to get rid of crap like spitemare, shivan meteor, and reverberate for better cards. If there is really that much exile style removal running around, you might want to pack a few naturalize effects main. It may not be much, but it will allow you to not lose game 1 automatically.
@Sesordereht
I have very mixed feelings about Furnace of Rath. I have been pounded on hard because I controlled it. The silliness of that combo though is hilarious.

Snow permanents are pointless to me IMO. Those cards are pretty cool looking, but have no further value to me in ANY other deck. Spitemare is really useful btw being that you can target other creatures. For instance, say he blocks a 1/1, I can use the 1 damage he was just dealt to knock out another 1/1. Shivan Meteor + Reverberate = 26 damage to Stuffy. He seems to eat Swords to Plowshares as well.
Sure. It won't stop path to exile from doing its thing, anymore than your own combos would. However, Skred scales for all the snow permanents in play that you control, making it useful at all stages in the game and is an instant for R. Shivan meteor costs 5 to play or 1RR to suspend for 2 turns, making it extremely slow and unreliable. Skred can be used in response to said path to exile giving you that win you desperately needed, or as more reliable removal.
Furthermore, snow permanents give you reliable means of acceleration (boreal druid, coldsteel heart, and into the north), as well as a means of card advantage (scrying sheets tutored for by into the north) AND an uncounterable creature removal spell in mouth of ronom (again, tutored for by into the north)that can also go for your stuffy doll combo. On top of all this, there also exists highland weald, which isn't so bad after all, now is it? Since these aren't highly sought after cards, almost all of them are dirt cheap, if you were worried about your budget at all!
If you want further ideas about stuffy doll control (because that is what it is, bar nothing), then I would like at an old standard deck called skred red from TSP-LOR standard and see how they did it. It might give you some ideas!
