Been building a deck to wreck my friends. Any tips to strengthen it are more than welcome. Don't see it as tourney viable as mono green, but who knows.
I'd like to keep it mono green, or at least heavily green. Splash ideas welcome.
Idea is hexproof guys are glued to the board, and make good targets for prey upon and ulvenwald tracker's removal. Gets huge with blanchwood armor (or boar's umbra) + rancor. Possible turn 4 or 5 swings for 20. Arbor elf combos with Utopia sprawl for more mana than 4 arbor + 4 llanowar or any other accelerators I could think of...
Creature (21)
4x Arbor Elf
2x Drove of Elves
4x Dungrove Elder
2x Silhana Ledgewalker
1x Thrun, the Last Troll
4x Troll Ascetic
4x Ulvenwald Tracker
The Troll Worship deck in Developing Competitive might give you a few ideas; it runs a lot of money-cards, and is generally Bant colors (GWU) but you can chop and change things to suite your style, budget, or whatever.
Even just splashing W for Worship, and some removal like Path to Exile (or Smite, Oust etc.) would really help you out.
Final Edit: Also, if you press the quote button at the bottom of this post, you can see how I've used the 'tags' to create links to cards, colored symbols, and putting your deck in a list. Will be useful for you in the future ; )
...With the general idea of making gigantic, unblockable, untargetable, card-drawing beaters. Can be increadibly frustrating to play and to play against. It's a real test of patience to wait until you have enough mana to cast aura gnarlid and canopy cover only to have the gnarlid pathed in between spells. But then again, I just finished a game which went as follows...
T1 (me): forest, utopia sprawl (green).
(opp): island.
T2 (me): forest, aura gnarlid.
(opp): island, etherium sculptor.
T3 (me): forest, keen sense, blanchwood armor, swing for 8 unblockable.
(opp): island, 2nd etherium sculptor, pass.
T4 (me): forest, rancor, aspect of mongoose, swing for lethal.
Obviously a very fortunate game for me, to say the least. The deck usually doesn't accomplish turn 4 wins, and generally, my opponent's done a lot more by the end of turn 3, but apparently these things happen. This is a deck I tried to build for less than $5, and a little bit of money could go a long way to make this deck a lot better. I'm sure Thrun likes rancor and blanchwood armor just fine.

Sideboard Guttural Response, Vexing Shusher, or Summoning Trap can help you fight Blue Permission. Obstinate Baloth in SB helps vs Discard etc. Raking Canopy punishes fliers, which can really be a headache for Green decks.
