You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.
Seriously? I'm not complaining, but, what inflate them? Bitterblossom unbanning?

I'm looking at the TCGPlayer price graph and woah, Arid Mesa's on the uptrend, though still available for less than SCG standard. Curse of the Plateau can't hold back pre-event last minute demand, I guess?
Mesa is a mainstay in Zoo decks. Fetches everything you could need.

Splinter Twin at $16+ is gross. I got my play set for that much not too long ago. Snapcaster Mage has finally begun its creep upwards from the $20 it cost for a few months. Bans and unbans aren't worth this level of gouging.

Remand is one of those cards very hard to find. For a while locally LGS were offering $15-$20 just to get some in their cases to sell. Of course they were selling for between $25-$30 during that time. Now it seems they have dried up pretty good.
THIS 100X!!! If you don't agree with this then there is no amount of logic that will ever convince you that good, non-oppressive, combos should be allowed. If you don't agree with it then just don't play this game, and you certainly shouldn't feel entitled to make any comment on ban lists ever.
To entertain a challenge to everyone. No matter what is your stand on the current price situation: Come up with a mechanic to meaningfully reduce the price of modern staples w/o causing any doomsday scenarios.
Here's an idea I posted in a different thread, modified to fit your challenge:
Every expansion has a subset - "From the Aether" (FtA)
It'd function a bit like "From the Vault" (FtV) and be composed entirely of reprints. Each subset would consist of 36 cards each. If creative at WotC wants to, they could make up some silly tidbit to add into the storyline like they did with the "treasures" in Zendikar.
FtA would be 1:36 packs (1 per box) with those cards replacing the tip/token card. If the print run of a set is 500,000,000 (my best guess for a large set), this would limit the FtA reprints to approximately 25,000 copies of each of the 36 cards. That's a relatively small fraction of what a standard rare or even mythic gets printed at. If small sets have print runs in the neighborhood of 200,000,000 (again, my best wild guess), that figure would be ~10,000.
This would have two benefits. The first would be to stabilize the prices (or at least flatten out their parabolic price curves). The second is it would boost sealed product values. This would cushion distributors and retailers from losing money in the event of a crappy, under performing set.
A few guidelines I would follow:
--Give cards a grace period after they rotate out of standard. Two years, or four years after initial printing, would be sufficient I think.
--If there aren't enough suitable candidates in the Modern format, fill it in with Legacy cards that aren't on the reserved list (there's plenty to work with).
This would allow WotC to be highly responsive to demand as there would be four sets per year that could have FtA inclusions (3 expansions and the summer base set). It wouldn't screw with draft; in fact, if the subsets had their own unique expansion symbol, they could be excluded from drafting easily as they would replace the tip/token card and wouldn't cause card disadvantage or people getting upset because they had to choose between passing a high value card or choosing a relevant pick.
No doomsday market crash, WotC makes more money, and players get a larger supply of the cards they want. Everybody wins.

Not surprising. Devler has been seeing regular play and it is a key card that was stagnant price wise for quite a while.

currently at an all time high. Possible go even higher?
I just priced out my R/G Tron deck, and found that even the entire thing doesn't equal a playset of Tarmogoyf at both of their current values Ideally, the deck I've always wanted to play in modern would be Zoo with Goyf in it, but due to its price I feel like I've had to "settle" for other decks in the format; the same goes for fetchlands as well. While modern is a great format, there's such a huge barrier to entry that only gets worse, even when I get more of an ability to afford cards, the prices go up to keep staying out of reach.
As much as Wizards wants to pretend that they don't know anything about the secondary market, they have to know that these cards are too expensive. Their solution for some of them like Bob and Goyf have totally backfired. They made them more "available" but that isn't the big problem. It doesn't matter how many more come into existence if they still aren't AFFORDABLE. I thought that this format was created so we wouldn't have to worry about being completely priced out of cards, and it seems like the complete opposite has happened. Practically every rare or uncommon that's been printed in the format that isn't utter garbage seems to be spiking to ludicrous levels these days.
I don't care if my modern cards lose value, and I certainly don't care if anyone else's do, either. I got mine knowing that they could get reprinted and lose value due to that, and anybody that is concerned about that should only buy reserved list cards. Collectors and speculators have already crippled Legacy and Vintage due to their backlashes in the past about reprints, and I would really like it if they ****ed off when it comes to this format.
SCG prices will always be above the norm for two reasons:
1) Insane customer service/reliability
2) Their online prices are the exact same as their event prices, where they charge a premium due to being the only game in town

expect it to go higher. Snaps is now more viable with DRS banned in modern so expect it to climb continually. Event season or not Snaps is bonkers good and has been at $15 to $20 for quite some time. Price was held down primarily due to DRS running amok in Modern. At least that's why I think it was so low for awhile. It'll hit SFM price soon, at least the non foil anyhow.
