Personally i feel like lightning helix is one of the top cards in the deck, performing as bolts 5-6 (for me 4-5) and gaining life as well, it would take a lot of convincing for me to cut one of my 2
Are you playing helix over the brutalities?
Edit: how many fatal pushes do you play?
Little angel, go away come again some other day the Devil has my ear today I'll never hear a word you say. He promised I would find a little solace and some peace of mind. Whatever. just as long as I don't feel so desperate and ravenous.

No im not im running both side by side and i think the work together better than speretly. Like i said in and earlier post, im running 3 bolts, and thats partly to make room for my brutalities. im also running only 2 thoughtseize and i really like that as i seem to get them in my opener just as much. the diffrence being i topdeck them less when i need gas and have no cards in hand, but im a huge fan both cards and i run two of both helix and brutality and im running 2 pushes i think they are amazing
Edit 1, fix typos and grammar
Edit two, i forgot to mention push
Finally it´s my turn to say my piece about this deck, as i took it for a spin yesterday on a fairly larged tournament - 16 players (for me it was a lot). There were 4 rounds of swiss and a top 8 cut.
Game 1: Played against the Blue Scapeshift deck and went 0-2. I wasn´t fast enough and even though i disrupted him a little,it wasn´t enough. I didn´t any card big mana deck counters in the SB, so i payed the price. Game 2 i had a Moon on the board for a lot of time, but he found a way to destroy it.
Game 2: Played against Mono Black Devotion and went 2-0. I drew like a pro and he didn´t. Clean 2-0.
Game 3: Played agaisnt Burn and went 2-1. Game 1 i got shredded as i opened the game with a shock and a Seize lol Learned my lesson and game 2 my Timely Reinforcements in the SB really shinned. Also, Kambal.
Game 4: Didn´t happen as we decided to draw and cut straight to the Top 8.
Quarters: Played against Abzan Druid and it was a removal and distruptive fest. I had a very good draw both game and the deck lined perfectl against his. Easy 2-0.
Semis: Tron. Yup, managed to dodge Tron till the semis, but well, it´s still our bane. My SB wasn´t tunned agaisnt Tron because i´ve been following the philosophy of "we don´t have a chance, so why bother?" Game 1 got a Moon and 2 lands plus a Seize and a Looting and kept. 4 turns and a Looting later, no land so i scooped. Game 2, the same. Started with a Moon in my hand but got nothing else going on for a long time... The game lasted till he had about 8 land in play when he played All is Dust, then casted Ulaboy and i scooped.
So, got lucky to dodge the 2 Tron decks till the semis.
Deck: Budgety Mana base: 1 Cliffs, 1 Summit, 1 Sulfurous Springs and 3 Swamps. A Nahiri and a Lili Last Hope, 2 Brutalities and a Forked Bolt.

Spellbombs are good, but what do you all think about running ravenous trap for graveyard hate instead? Plays for free off an opposing faithless looting, and has that better "feel-good" synergy with young P.
I have 3 copies sleeved up in my sideboard for my next FNM (very phoenix/shadow/dredgy meta) and was wondering if anyone has been disappointed with it over other gy hate strategies (leyline of the voids are too expensive for me).
Just one question to the veterans. How do we win against Dredge on game 1?
With the "stock" list, we just don't Lately I have seen people maindeck Surgicals, Paths, even the new Kaya... those can help, but it's still very hard.
On the other hand, we usually bring in A LOT of stuff from the sideboard, and that sometimes turns the match around
Is Theater of Horrors worth trying out? Wish you could play the instants during any turn you’ve triggered spectacle.

I don't feel like it would be really good. It seems slow to me, and it doesn't have much sinergy with the rest of the deck (exiles the cards, it's an enchantment, and requires aggresive plays to be effective). But... maybe it's worth trying it.

This one could be really good IMO. The bad thing is it seems only good against decks that mill themselves really hard, like Faithless Looting/Thought Scour decks. However, it'll probably be really good in these matches.
I'll be trying some Rakdos Charms instead of the Spellbombs because being an instant feels really relevant to me (to trigger Pyros and reduce the cost of Revelers). In my meta there also are a lot of artifact decks, in which Rakdos Charm might be useful.

Is Bedevil usable for our deck, or is the 3 cmc too much? I'm currently using dreadbore, but the bedevil being an instant and the option to also destroy artifact seems like an upgrade.
against what would you bring bitterblossom in? reasons why it's not played in mardu pyro:
mayor:
- it's en enchantment, so no synergy with bedlam and pyromancer.
- it takes a turn before you get a token. that token doesnt have haste.
- the deck often stabelises at <10 hp depending on what you're facing. the 1 damage/turn will cost you a lot of games.
minor:
- it's not a clock like goblin rabblemaster
- mardu pyro can already chump for days with souls and pyro alone, no need for more (unless it's a clock)
- it's tribal, which could make goyfs stronger. not a real argument against it, but it's possible.
Bedevil seems like an... ok... sideboard option, definitely no more than a one-of. The flexibility is nice, i agree, but 3 cmc IS a lot. You also run into the "what does it replace" problem. Its not a true stand in for stony silence, abrade is a full turn faster which is a huge deal vs aggro, etc. I personally wouldnt fault someone for have a singleton somewhere in the 75, but i dont think its stellar by any stretch, anguished unmaking would be the closest comparison that also sees little to no play.
After a few tests, have also sometimes run into the needing double black problem with Bedevil, so will not be using it.
The abrade and rakdos charms in the sideboard are enough against artifact decks in my meta.
Bedevil is not usable in this deck. double red for bedlam should take priority over double black. and if you're playing blood moon, fetching for double black can get you in trouble. just compare the card with kcommand or lili, to see what 3 mana could get you. if planeswalkers are a problem in your meta, adjust the dreadbore/terminate ratio and time you're hand attacks well. for artifact hate you're better of running wear/tear because it hits enchantments too.
Ok thanks for that input. Speaking of Blood Moon... I'm a long time RG Ponza user, although have put that deck on hiatus for now. What I noticed during my last days on Ponza is that there are fewer decks crippled by main deck moons. Here in Mardu Pyro, how many moons do we run in the main, 2 or 3? Against Dredge and UR phoenix, do we side out all our moon for better answers? I would appreciate info on these.
most people have learned to navigate around bloodmoon. as mardu pyromancer, we can only drop it turn 3 or later. fetching basic swamp is the first giveaway that a blood moon might be comming, and clever opponents will fetch basics or keep a fetch open to respond on your blood moon cast.
recently i switched to playing 0 blood moons main and 0 in the side. Decks hurt by blood moon sometimes still side in enchantment hate against me, which is nice. Now that i dropped moon, i can play 2 path to exile in the main and completely dropped the sideboard land destruction package in favor of more clocks (hazoreth and rabblemaster).
