That’s kind of what I was thinking autumntwilight . I don’t think wotc is going to punish the rakdos guild because R/b is the best deck in standard.

Little angel, go away come again some other day the Devil has my ear today I'll never hear a word you say. He promised I would find a little solace and some peace of mind. Whatever. just as long as I don't feel so desperate and ravenous.
Sideboard:
1 Hazoret
2 rabblemaster
2 kambal
1 brutality
1 rakdos charm
3 Stony silence
1 EE
1 anger of the gods
1 languish (for spirits)
2 crackling doom (boggles is popular in my local meta)
The reach of the helixes and unconditional nature of path (especially since there's no blood moon to non-bo with) has been quite nice in my experience.
Path and blood moon should never be in a deck together. Path actively helps your opponent keep from getting locked out by blood moon.
As for ass trophy, if anything it will make blood moon even less effective than it already is. Between field of ruin and ass trophy no deck should play less than 5 basics. The more basics decks play the easier it is for them to draw out of blood moon.
Blood moon, in my opinion, is fast approaching obsolescence.
If decks are going to run more basics does that give mardu more of a reason to run molten rain in the board to complement blood moon? Go for the basics and play blood moon?

I think I might try it out with replacing the Blood Moon entirely with Molten Rains. Blood Moon is becoming less of a "gotchya" card in my local meta due to speed and higher basic land counts. At least MR ends up being a tempo play that feeds Reveler.
Had my most awesome mardu-win ever this evening. I played against some kind of BW superfriends (discard, removal, souls, lillis, gideons)
Survived on 2 life for 7+ turns... then:
Opponent plays wrath of god and has 2 shambling vents on board with enough mana to activate both next turn...
I draw a land. Flashback Looting into reveler into reveler (which draws me a land, k-command and souls), thus getting two blockers for his manlands...
Opponent plays lingering souls with flashback and kills (field of ruin) my only white mana source...
I topdeck manamorphose to cast souls with flashback having 3 mana left open...
In his drawstep, I play k-command (discard and ping one of his souls tokens)... luckily i catch his brutality with the discard which would have killed me otherwise...
After this, the game goes on for some rounds but in the end I managed to win. Never felt so happy and awkward at the same time to win such a match

I never ever had a single game where molten rain was a good sideboard card. Against tron its relatively slow and only hits one land, which they can replace immediately. Against colonades its also very harmless... Alpine moon does the same job but better imho...
After another unsatisfactory tournament finish tonight, I'm trying to figure out what I can do to be better. I've been playing a pretty wide field, probably the most common thing I run into is some variation on control (usually U/W but also Grixis and U/B.) but aside from that I've played... everything.
I just feel really lackluster and like I'm not playing well enough/adjusting my deck and sideboard well enough. Here's the deck.
I bring in molten rain against control and midrange decks. I use them to complement blood moon.
@thelovelylamia: I’ve been having mixed results as well lately. Some of its my opponents knowing what I’m trying to do or my draws not lining up. I think we just have to keep tinkering our main decks and sideboard.

I'm not sure what to do with my MD and SB right now...
I have a lot of meh-be cards for the SB, like Molten Rain, Stony Silence, etc. I think I want to try removing my final copy of Wear//Tear for something like these, but I don't know yet.
Mainboard, I've been fooling around with the slot that used to be Manamorphose. There are a few options here. I like Terminate or Dreadbore but I'm still unsure as to which is currently better, though at least towards my control-heavy meta I'm leaning towards the Bore. Liliana the Last Hope is the only other truly obvious flex spot, and I haven't really decided what I could jam in here that's not Lili. I definitely haven't been feeling her recently, but that might be confirmation/negativity bias. To be honest, I haven't really SEEN or played with her in most of my games so who's to say if she's really good or not.
Goblin Rabblemaster mainboard is the one thing that I've been seeing people do a lot. Often in place of Blood Moon. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but given that Moon isn't really the "Gotcha" card it used to be, maybe I'll try moving it to the sideboard and putting the Rabblemasters back in. I do have to admit that I've never been pleased with them in the mainboard, however.
As far as moon vs rabblemaster main I'd honestly say neither or either depending on how spicy you want to be. They are both great cards in the matchups their good in, but absolutely terrible in nearly every other scenario.
At this point I'm considering relegating them both to the sideboard and trying different things in those slots when I pick the deck back up. For now I'm putting it down because, much like you guys, I've been getting pretty bad results with it.
I went 1-3 at the last fnm I played it at so I think I need a break from it for awhile.
So it is quite well known that punisher cards are bad, however, if ever there was a playable one this would be it.
The fact that is has what amounts to flashback just might make it good enough to use as maybe a 2-of.
Choosing to be domed for a total of 8 damage between both uses seems pretty rough unless you're playing martyr proc and letting this deck draw 6 cards is just plain incorrect unless taking the damage would kill you.
At a minimum I think it's worth trying out for a bit.
I've decided to throw a Lightning Helix in my deck. Also testing Nahiri, and Pithing Needle in the side to help vs control. We'll see how this goes. I'm kinda starting to veer towards selfeisek's list, but I'm a little confused about his Sideboard, to be honest.
Helixes are cool. With this build I feel myself less reactive and more agressive in games. Some games I just made a couple swings with creature (Hazoret or Goblin) and then burn opponent's face to the win. Yeah, I thought about 1 R/W fastland instead of Dragonskull Summit just to have guaranteed white source for Helix on turns 2-3. Gonna try it tomorrow night.
Deck still has 30 Instant/Sorceries so Reveler feel himself allright. Also Discovery works as a 5th Looting so I had no problems with graveyard at all.
Not sure about Boros Charm. It's not a true burn deck and I feel like indestructible mode is not so crucial cause Hazoret is indestructible already and we have ways to return our creatures back to the board (Lingering Souls flashback, Kolaghan's Command).

I'm more and more of a fan of it myself. Plus, with Burn seeing more and more play in-response to UWx Control on the rise, the incidental life gain helps with this match up.
As one moves away from blood moon, and adding helix as a hedge against burn and other aggro, is Boros Charm unreasonable? As a one or two of? My train of thought is; it adds more pressure to the life total, while contemporaneously (<-- winning at scrabble) doubling as a counter to sweepers. I accept that it may just be too cute, or not worth whatever we're taking out, but id like your thoughts.

1. No Blood Moon. To deal with pesky lands I put 4 Molten Rain in the side.
2. No walkers, but with 3 Lightning Helix, 2 Goblin Rabblemaster and 1 Hazoret the Fervent. Zealous Persecution is good in mirror and can make our list even more agressive post-board.
3. Also I proxied 1-of Discovery // Dispersal instead of Manamorphose (worst card in this deck for sure), and it's good.
4. Some budget decisions. I don't own Blackcleave Cliffs and Surgical Extraction so replaced them.
