Playing Death's Shadow and Dark Confidant in the same shell is overkill. You want to go down to 4-5-6-7 life points, then keep in check your life total. Dark Confidant doesn't play well with this kind of game.
As a side note, when I first picked up the deck I thought life meant nothing. I regularly brought myself down to 7 or less without much help from my opponents, and then lost to something stupid like double bolt or in one case, hardcast Lightning Storm discarding two held lands. Life is a resource, but I don't really want to bring myself below 10. I don't want to go much lower unless I'm going for a kill or can hold up protection (Denial/Squall, etc) or have excess blockers for haste creatures. It can be a very tight balancing game.
curious about the 3 kommands in 75s that I've seen from time to time. i feel like i wouldnt want that many high cmc costs and it doesn't really address a specific prohlem though it is a great utility card. how has that worked out for those playing 3/0 or 2/1 kommands?
The reason for running three (2+1) over two is that Chalice is a major beating and Ensnaring Bridge is also a real pain in the ass. There is also the affinity issue, especially if we end up running anger over K Return.
I think Dark Confidant is not good in Modern right now, not just Death's Shadow. Fatal Push established a threshold for 2-drops too narrow to punch through. Grim Flayer is still ok because in the right build it's a 4/4 with Trample which is super efficient. A 2/1 Baneslayer that has to wait a whole turn to start gaining advantage, and also gets killed by every removal spell in the format(the most played ones cost 1) INCLUDING Tarfire, just doesn't cut it. In Jund it can still be fine because their raw power is way higher. In tempo, high efficieny decks like Death's Shadow you can't spend a whole turn dropping a body that generates no value the turn it comes in. Dark Confidant was never a super good card in Tempo decks(look at Legacy for example, a much more removal-free format than Modern). It mostly sees play in prison decks like Loam and other Chalice decks.
The meta would have to be too skewed towards Path to Exile to make Confidant a great card again. If UW became Tier 1(solid Tier 1 i mean) then Jund can start preying upon those decks again. Until then, Bob is just a gem of the past.
Just getting all kinds of wrecked by Ad Nauseam here. Leyline BOOOOOO
I feel the same. It was pointed out to me that Echoing Truth could deal with it, but that feels SOOOOO bad. .
I run a Truth in my board. It's in there for weird stuff (Ad Nauseum, Storm enchantments, Ensnaring Bridge, Especially painful planeswalkers etc) but it's mostly there to deal with things like lingering souls tokens. (It's funny to cast it on a Liliana when she +1's and the opponent is hellbent as well). It's also decent against Tasigur/ Angler.
I think echoing truth is a great catch all for the sideboard. Specifically against Leyline of sanctity where those cards are back breaking. Echoing truth is also great against affinity, lingering souls, merfolk, tron threats, lantern control, and many other random decks. It is pretty similar to maelstrom pulse, it's rarely bad

I'm pretty sure the only match I've lost to Ad Nauseum involved them resolving Dragonlord Dromoka. The matchup feels very easy to me. Especially with Mana Leak, but even without it.
Thank God for that Fatal Push print. We would have no luck in the matchup otherwise due to Master Of Waves. I too think we have to be the control deck in the matchup. Just outresource them via hand disruption and spot removal, then attack with a big dude. TBR is not a must, but a welcomed topdeck. Prioritize Silvergill Adept and Spreading Seas with IoK/TS.
Should I take Silvergill Adepts over lords with discard?

I currently don't own Liliana, the last hope. I replaced 2 sb spot with a painful truth and second anger of the god. Want to get some opinion, is she really impact lot to the grindy matchups much? Before I decide to buy over her. Thanks.
I tried the white splash for a bit. The land base really sucks. Godless shrine in game one is so bad if you draw into it or it's in your opener. Thought about having the shrine in the SB and switch to 4 colours G2/G3 but never got around to trying it out. Stony silence (lantern player in my local meta) and souls are nice to have access to . Ranger doesn't seem as good to me without the traverses that Jund DS has to search him out.
Super hate the white splash in Grixis. Jund gets to Traverse for the lands and the bullets. Souls has great synergy with LotV. I'm not saying you can't splash it, but it seems suboptimal. I have to said though, this deck lacks a Souls type of threat from the SB. When threat density matters, this deck is lacking, so that's why i think your best bet is to out-tempo control decks rather than trying to outgrind them. That reasoning is a pro for Fulminator Mage, which gives you flexibility against Ramp, also giving you threat density and tempo(on the play) against Midrange/Control.

She is great on the grindy matchups for sure. It's one of the ways for you to not lose. If they have access to Abrupt Decay things aren't that crystal clear. It's great vs Infect. They can't win if you untap with LtLH in play. It's great against CoCo decks as well.
Thanks for reply. Against deck that go wide such as elves and dredge. Is it best to play her in game 2 for her +1 ability?

It's too dangerous for us. We need to stabilize at low totals and we'd risk killing ourselves far too often, especially with the delve threats.

Yep, it gets really bad if you don't have Temur Battle Rage. Personally, I've gone up to 2 in my 75 what with all of the annoying blockers nowadays.

Thank WOTC, they're actually real. I think.
Jokes aside, I don't think this deck could have been a thing without it as our curve is so low. We'd have to run... Disfigure?

Thoughts? I'd hate to mill that Shrine off of a Thought Scour and be stuck with a dead Ranger in hand.
