I don't like Bone Picker. There has to be a creature on opposing side and you need removal for it or your creature needs to die in order to play it for less mana which is too conditional. At 4 mana he's too slow. Threats we have are much better than it already so there's no reason to play it.
Well it hasn't be on the opponents side, your creature can die as well (maybe from opposing removals or blocks) but you are right, it requires something, which, unlike delver, seems suboptimal in this deck which already has problems in reaching delirium or a low enough life total to have big death shadows. I feel like I don't want to add anothing thing that can completly go wrong at some point.
Well I mentioned your creature dying as an option too but otherwise I agree that there are too many things that need to go in the right direction to make it good which makes the card too conditional.
Oh yeah, maybe I didn't read properly, you are right.
Why would I want the Blue splash instead of white is what I am wandering. I think Stubborn Denial can help better with tron and valakut, but this version does seem to have bigger problems with go wide strategies. He does run anger for this, but double red is very risky in my opinion to run in this deck.
Its kinda problematic for me to adjust to my meta, one time there were 4 tron players popping up out of nowhere, but the next week there was Mardu midrange and elves all over the place.
What I noticed is that Burn is really tough. Anyone got some insights on how to handle the matchup (besides the basics which are clear)? Do we absolutely not shock ourselves exclusively or would you do it like once to cast an important spell? Do you preserve life totals completely or only to the most extend?
I've been playing a fairly standard list, but when I was last on the deck I'd been playing with strictly Jund colors, and I didn't miss the white sideboard cards. The mana was so nice, too. I can't figure it out and stick to a plan, I'm trying to decide if I'm taking this deck to GP Vegas over Junk/Grixis/Grixis DS/traditional Jund. I've already flip-flopped so many times >_<

I definitely recommend going for white. Straight Jund might be more focused and therefore better vs. Big Mana and aggro, but white really helps in the mirror, and grindy decks. White is also needed to beat Grixis Shadow in my opinion. I think in the present meta, decks that punish people for greedy manabases are not very present (yet), so I would use the opportunity to play it as long as its viable.
I am finding myself back to the Jund life again, after being away for some months. Played in those months some Grixis control, but that is not Jund and will never be Jund tho. I have bought the Death's Shadow part of Jund to, because I think this is the best Jund deck right now. I have been making some progress in building sb guides. I want to share mine with you guys. It is in the image down below.
I'm not crazy about the lack of a Forest tbh. UW Control plays Path and GQ, which means each GQ beyond the first basic just becomes Wasteland. Crucible, Blood Moon are cards I don't want to see with 1 basic.
Curious about 4 Fatal Push MB too. I feel like Terminate is going to get even better in the Main with Sun Titan walking around. 3/1 Push/Terminate ?
That handy SB attachment is great, so thanks for sharing.

Yes but its better run only fetchable lands with black and run without screw land base, another thing its a forest in opening hand its very, very awful and unusable.

Nice spreadsheet you got there. Do you mind if I add it to the primer so that it has a more general access? Your list does pretty much look like a stock list, so your SB plan does surely help everybody.
I like Terminate over 4th push main for sure. I am on 3 Lili PWs right now though. Thats why I do play 3 Pushes anyway. I did think about replacing 1 of the 2 decays with terminate, but did not test it yet. I think, for that Tarfire argument, that I fear you just have to play it. Delirium is such a big deal for this deck that I am very hesitant to cut Tarfires completely. I play also 2 copies, and am still more often than I want struggling to reach delirium. And tbh, I never was completely sad when I had them, it would basically always mean delirium is online, which always feels great. Tarfire did also surprisingly often find its targets in the past for me.
The board the semi pro plays: 3 souls 1 ranger 2 fulminator 1 ancient grudge 1 surgical 2 spellbomb 1 pulse 1 liliana the last hope 2 brutality 1 fatal push
He plays 1 terminate, 1 last hope and 1 Dismember main. 0 tarfire.
Thoughts?
Thanks FlyingDelver. You can Pm me of you want, making some more sb guides soon. With the board of the semi pro. I guess it is a better board. Anger is so heavy on the mana base. But Spellbombs seem fine in many mu's to.
I like the sideboard but i dont like dismember mainboard. I would at first change this to a tarfire and then would try to find another Spot for a second one. Terminate and Ltlh is good though.
mashup of grixis and jund 5-0ing yesterday. this seems like it'd struggle in grindy matchups, nor does it help vs. eldrazi/tron/mirror. still interesting though if we are expecting combo-centric decks in the meta?

I dont know if this is the right place to ask but anyone is trying Cast Out in Abzan Death Shadow ?
Sure it cost 1 mana to cycle which is worse than 0 but i'm way more excited to draw Cast Out in the late game than a Mishra's Bauble.
Enchantments in graveyards are even more rare than artifacts so it's better for the Goyfs. Playing both should help Delirium.
I compare it to Thought Scour in the Grixis version : a 1 mana instant cantrip that fuels our other cards. For Grixis, it's Tasigur and Snapcaster. For BGx, it's Traverse and Tarmogoyf. Except that Cast out has the additionnal value of being able to be cast for 4 mana.
w
I think i'll try to cut a removal and 2 Bauble for 3 Cast out in Abzan.
I think I'd rather play Sigil of the Nayan Gods then, with an easier casting cost (G/W). I've seen some abzan lists play Sigil. Cast Out possibly being lategame removal is nice, though. Bauble is much more efficient with the 0 mana cost, so I'd never cut it with 4 traverse in the deck. And I think Architects of Will overall is more playable than Sigil and Cast Out.
How often do you guys see Surgical come out of opponents' sideboards? My buddy brought it in against me earlier, he's on Junk. Turn 1 IoK away a Shadow and Surgical before I can even do anything. At that point there's zero chance I win that game. I've had to surgical my own Shadows in response before, obviously only exiling the one, but that's certainly not how it's supposed to play out.
Just that small interaction made me think about sleeving up the Grixis version.

I will test a list this friday (standard list, no forest, 2 tarfires, 2 decays main) and with this sideboard:

What do you guys think about the forth Push moved to the board and the Terminate in?
A semi pro in my network told me he hated the Tarfire's and does not play them. Instead he plays Lili Last Hope and Dismember in the main.
