Somebody considered Orzhov Charm in the white splash version? I guess its not good enough, but I think especially modes 2 and 3 seem kinda interesting.
Also, for Bauble drawing triggers you could always place a die or coin on top of your deck to remind you to draw an extra card.
While this is a brilliant way to avoid missing your own upkeep triggers (before you draw) It's not great in your opponent's upkeep because you never normally interact with your own deck in their upkeep. I tried the counter on my library trick last night, and while I was tired and had low blood sugar (which was probably the main reason for missing triggers) the counter was zero help whatsoever. I might start placing the baubles at a jaunty angle and on top of my graveyard if I still have a trigger waiting. Something similar to the way people mark creatures in dredge that have delayed triggers.
Would also like to reiterate how great varolz was for me last night in testing, giving me what few wins I could scrape together in my tired state all by himself. Very good with battle rage as well (as you'd imagine).
That's why you put a die on top of your opponent's library

Someone won a SCG IQ with an esper list using Orzhov Charm last weekend actually. The bounce mode is also relevant. It gives you a sorcery speed WBB untap target Death's Shadow in race situations.
So I was rereading GT article on shadow jund on scg (premium) and noticed that it seems Lily of the Last Hope may be a better choice tham LoTV.
Ill explain why. When looking at the article she was coming in a good majority of the matches listed and LoTV was going out. On top of that she was coming in during tougher matches like Bant Eldrazi and Abzan and also in the mirror which is bound to see play
To me running Last Hope main and LoTV in sb seems better since it will edge those closer matchups game 1. The article is below if folks want to take a look

I've been seeing that some Delver style decks have been considering being Esper Delver with Death's Shadow as a win condition with help of Orzhov Charm.
Has anyone else seen Death's Shadow variants pop up since the Jund version has been doing quite well lately?
Pretty much everything that can splash black has been trying it. Jund is the only proven one with probably grixis next in line. I've considered esper with GoST in the sb.
I would cut it. We run a fair amount of removal and the mirror is an attrition based matchup, you really don't want to get 2-for-1ed here. With playing tbr that can happen. So I would board it out.
I'm shocked people aren't running more things like Destructive Revelry in the side, it hits all those problem permanents and pings the opponent, might just be my meta however but its packed with random Leylines/RIP/Worships/BatterSkulls, we have the main deck anti artifact hate in KCommand, however the pesky Enchantments are annoying, along with lingering souls, I'm using 2 Golgari Charm and 2 Destructive Revelry in the side, among other things too haha.
My sideboard would freak people out and I know its down to the meta, however I feel I could help people out as I have 5/0'd a lot with the generic maindeck and this side
Ive been thinking about destructive revelry as well. Its great against all those enchantments for sure. Only reason to use Caustic caterpillar or reclamation sage is so that you can tutor them. How have the charms worked for you? Yes they are felxible but their modes won't always be relevant

I've been considering trying out the Grixis build of the deck. Death's Shadow is definitely the new hottest deck in Modern from merging with the previous version of Death's Shadow and now Jund. Having the colors and spells that Jund already has, no big surprise that any deck in Modern that is running BRG is top tier.
The tutor targets has me a little worried as well. How often are we able to tutor under the hate cards anyways? I'm not sure I like not having Last Hope in the sb, but I'm also not on the white splash anymore.
@Jendo, you have some interesting cards in the sb, but what you listed is also 17 cards, not 15. I like the rakdos charm and golgari charms and have thought about them. I've considered revelry, but not sure what I'd want it over. I guess rakdos takes one of the spellbombs or extractions.
Seal of Primordium is another solid option. Nice to plop it on the table ahead of the hate cards coming down (for things like Blood Moon). I'm currently running a 1/1 split of Grudge and Seal.
How does Death's Shadow do against Bogles? Is it favorable?
Against Bogles, this deck should do well against them. Jund honestly has enough answers for Bogles from the beginning. While they go big with damage, something Death's Shadow Jund likes, this deck should out value them quickly.
thoughts on Plunge into Darkness? Seems like a solid dig card, rather than Painful Truths or SIB or NW, instead you can go as deep as you want and grab the card you want, and you can do it at instant speed.
The relevant mode essentially reads:
1B
Instant
Pay X life. Look at the top X cards of your library and put 1 into your hand.
So we can use it to dig for a DS, or an answer if we need one.
Pretty sure it was already discussed and decided it was bad. Truths lets you get 3 cards for 3 life and only comes in against really grindy matches anyways
As for the Goryo's, sounds like you just had bad luck of the leyline. I think a lot of people are bringing it in against us, especially spell based combo decks.
Has there been an established guide for which color combination of Death's Shadow works best in certain situations? For example, does Jund DS work best in an open meta, compared to Grixis DS which is more suited for control? Or if Esper DS wins out the DS mirrors?

Just played at a small fnm, beat traditional Jund
Goryos deck beat me, bad hand, mulled to 6, it wasn't awful, but slow.
Game 2 was a nut hand with plenty of discard, damage and Shadow, and he drops Leyline and I couldn't get there
Played against Esper Shadow, Lilliana the Last Hope was just a huge mirror buster, he saw it all games. They were gun games, but it seems bad
Really surprised how much I'm losing with the deck on paper, it's going well on mtgo but my on person results are awful.
