I don't think Burn will play this as it doesn't really do anything upon ETB. At least Eidolon pretty much always hits for 2.
Nothing in Burn does anything on ETB...
If that deck can make every fetchland a lightning bolt I think it will. 100% believe it'll find it's way into that deck. Even if its SB.

Only if they're dumb enough to crack it after it lands. Harsh Mentor dies to everything, which isn't the end "end all, be all." It doesn't change anything for Burn in the Jund match (or against most interactive decks). If they end up facing a ton of Lantern Control or Affinity, then I can see it making it in from the sideboard there. Otherwise, Harsh Mentor doesn't really do anything in the other matches where Burn traditionally isn't favored. Unless you're willing to offer up free life points.
Saw a list with a playset of both Inquisition and Thoughtseize yesterday. Is it worth to improve our turn 1/2 significantly if in return we get a worse topdeck?
I get the feeling that a turn 1 discard spell followed by a Goyf or Bob is fairly often the place I want to be.
you trade at the beginning and when the dust settles its a lava axe. how many times did you lost a topdeck war? the card helps in that sense
I'd rather have Roast than Cut. The Ribbons half doesn't interest me at all. Why not just play Fireball or whatever is in these days? As a whole card, it can be a little awkward to have it in your hand and have no target for Cut even though you want to play Ribbons. You can kinda get it where you want with Liliana of the Veil, but that just makes the card less appealing to me. If it's not useful generally, why do I want it? With the way the new split cards work, I feel the first half has to be very useful overall before you can consider what the second half can give you. That said, damage-based removal right now is sketchy. It's why Fatal Push and Terminate are still the top removal spells of choice right now.

Yeah I saw that list as well, but actually I doubt playing 8 discard spells is where we wanna be. 6 seems to be still the correct number to me.
how do fight storm. just dont know our winning gameplay and how to muligan to it.
Storm is usually a good matchup as we do have disruption and removal for their creatures. Our best cards are IOK/TS/CB and a fast clock. With discard, we take their rituals/manamorphose most of the time to slow them down. In addition, you need to kill their creatures at first sight. Whatch out for Blood Moon from the SB, which can come in (or lately it seems, some people have the madcap emperion combo in their SB, which is actually better for us than Blood Moon).
I feel like running 6 copies of an effect is essentially telling my deck "I really want to see 2 of these, and I am fine seeing 3, but I'm cool off the 4th". Running 8 makes drawing the 4th copy too likely for me, and I feel like after 2-3 discard spells I should have the hand under control in most matches. That said, I don't think its necessarily wrong to play 8, and in a given meta I can even see it being strictly better, but in general I think 6 feels just right.
Atm, running 3-4 pushes is a must yeah. Cutting Bolt down to at least 2 copies or less is the subsequent follow up.
Don't know about Fulminator MB either. But tbh, I was never so unsatisfied with the creature Suite for jund in the cmc 3+ range like right now. I really think all our 4 drops are weak and can't think of good 3 drops to run instead. All just feel mediocre at best. We really could use a new creature in these slots I think.
Even though I hate to say it, because I love Huntmaster and or Kalitas, I do have to agree. It's unfortunate but they don't seem as great as they once were.

Kalitas has no immediate impact on the board, which is a problem nowadays. In my meta I still like my 2 Huntmasters mb, as I face a lot of control and burn.
If you guys don´t like playing any of these two, there are two options: Either you avoid the 4cmc slot at all (there are some successfull lists floating around) or you include more alternative planeswalkers instead. I don´t believe playing suboptimal creatures in the mb (Kitchen Finks, Fulminator Mage, Tireless Tracker, Courser of Kruphix) is the way to go.

I'm on the same boat here...Huntmaster hasn't performed as good as used to, and all the other options seems pretty sub-optimal.
I really don't like Fulminator Mages or Kitchen Finks (I'm not even playing them on my sideboard)..Kalitas as you said doesn't impact the board when ETB.
Which leaves me with Tireless Tracker, of all of those choices, I believe that he's the most appealing.
It might seem wrong, but I've decided to go back to the classic build, with 4 bolts. I'm doing this, because at my LGS there's a single DS player which happens to be the same guy who plays Bant Eldrazi as well.
The thing is, I think you can't just avoid the 4 CMC creatures and play more spells instead, I want to have 12-13 creatures still I think. Therefore I have to subsitute at least one slot with another creature, because 11 creatures seem to few in my opinion.
The problem is obviously the balance within the deck: 11 creatures are not enough, the 3cmc creatures are not powerful enough, the 4 cmc creatures can be bad if played in the wrong meta, Tasigur is no option because of Bob. The only other option I have in mind (although it is nowhere near an ideal card) is Garruk Wildspeaker: Creates tokens or gives us a decent clock with his ultimate, but, as I just mentioned, I don´t think he is good enough.

Yeah but I doubt you would go for this against an open field. Mtgo is clearly its own thing but I would consider it more open than soecific I guess.
