EE is in general maindeckable if your meta calls for it, but there is always this nonbo with BBE that makes it awkward. If I want a safe artifact which is never dead I am only looking at Spellbomb personally, since it cantrips.
Aw crap. I completely spaced about the cascade/x=0. Yeah... that kind of ruins it as a MB card for me. Still a phenomenal SB card.
I’ve noticed you’ve gone down to 2x Scooze, I’m assuming as a trade for the MB Spellbomb. I’ve been considering that myself, but haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet. There’s definite pros and cons to both. How comfortable have you been with only 2x Scooze? Has it felt alright?

2 Ooze are definitely fine for me right now. I like the Flayers as additional filtering and Spellbomb as maindeck answer to a lot of things (Hollow One, Living End, Storm or may it be simply countering one Snapcaster in control decks)
Plus Jundine herself (who’s obviously a proponent of 25 lands) mentioned that 24 lands with one less BBE seemed just as viable, as well as saying that Grim Flayer could very well be as much of a solution as we can get right now for our draw filtering issues. Anyway, just in case you needed some extra validation with authoritative appeal for a lower curved build, there’s that. Reid and Jadine are Jund’s only real champions on that level at the moment and I personally really value their takes on what the haps is.
So you all would probably recommend this "Fast Jund" build by Reid more than the 25 land build I previously posted?
I personally like it a bit more, but you can also play a compromise of both for example. Anywhere between those 2 approaches is fine if you know what to expect. In an heavy aggro/combo or Big mana meta I would play fast jund, in a grindy controlish meta I would play Jadines list.

I just realized while looking at all the Jeskai lists that Golgari Charm is VERY applicable in that MU.
The -1/-1 mode kills every single creature they have with few exceptions (Celestial Colonnade, e.g., which doesn’t die from the charm, but does get put into bolt range). This includes all their Secure the Wastes tokens, their Timely Reinforcements tokens, their Vendillion Cliques, their Elspeth, Sun’s Champion tokens (which are crucial to destroy so that you can get through to her with combat damage), and their Snapcaster Mages. The ability to wipe away all of their weenies that would otherwise buy them a ton of time cannot be discounted. Hitting Snappy and V-Clique can slow their clock way down too.
The regenerate mode is a good backup against Supreme Verdict. A little bit of hand information from a timely IoK really helps know when to hold up the mana for it.
Anyway, once I realized just how many X/1’s Jeskai played, it sold me on Golgari Charm’s inclusion for that MU. It’s decent against UW as well, but probably less so.

It’s definitely a reasonable card to bring in, but in my experience (maybe this goes without saying) it’s infinitely more valuable to be proactive rather than reactive against control. Cards like golgari charm are reasonable cards to board in against control if you have them, but if your build is weak to control don’t count on charm to help you much.

Very good points. If you get behind in that MU there's not much that's going to bring you back.
The more I play lately the more it feels like going being on the play is the only way to win. Every deck is so good and so quick now that I just can't seem to get off my back foot on the draw. The upside of that is my deck feels very well tuned right now and I've been successfully Junding people out while on the play.
I played a few 2/3 rounds on Cockatrice a little while ago and had positive results.
I played against UWR Control, Affinity, and BGW Elves.
Against Jeskai I did very well and it actually felt like a good MU even though I ended up losing.
The first game I had to mulligan to 4 on the draw and scooped early because there was no reason to play it out.
The second game was a grind but it actually felt good the whole time. I curved out and found my CA cards and won.
The third game was neck and neck and also felt good but I topdecked three lands in a row (I already had six in play, none of which were a Ravine) after we were both hellbent while he topdecked a V-Clique and an Elspeth. It happens.
Against Affinity I played much more aggressively (per Jadine's suggestion) than I used to in that MU and it paid off big time.
I won it in two. Both on the play and on the draw. I actually raced him on the draw with the help of some timely removal.
I beat Abzan Elves in three games. The combo is really bad against us but a resolved Lead the Stampede feels like ****, and CoCo and cards like Dwynen's Elite can hurt us too.
Won on the play, lost on the draw. Fortunately I won the die roll. He pretty much had to scoop game three to a turn-1 Grim Lavamancer followed by a turn-2 Fetch/Bolt/IoK
Everything is running very smoothly. I'm curving out, finding enough threats to end games quickly, and my control pieces feel relevant. I still can't decide on a SB though.

To add though, I think Mardu has to side out BM against Jund. Its already favoured and BM just is a unneccesary risk of getting blown out by bad topdecks.
For sure. Kills all their dudes and nails their Blood Moons.
Edit: just saw your post right before this one, Delver. I wasn’t aware they board out BM. Makes sense for this particular MU, but at the same time I’m used to people boarding it IN against us, so I hadn’t considered it.
Edit #2: After looking through a couple of SBing guides for Mardu, it seems as though they keep it (Blood Moon) in. Or at least they did at the time the articles were written. Mardu can afford to play cards that can be situationally blowouts/dead more than most decks due to Faithless Looting. While it would be bad against a grindy deck to topdeck a BM after the opponent has already acquired the necessary basics, it wouldn’t be a big deal if you could essentially just swap it out for another card with Looting. I dunno.
Sure, but in grindy matchups, the same principle applies: Bad topdecks are bad. And the sheer presence of Looting kinda make people justify for everything bad they keep in in those matchups, since they can always pitch it to Looting. I think this is just wishful thinking and statistically, you want good topdecks no matter what. So the question remains if you can afford to have BM in the deck, is the upside higher than the downside. I personally want Looting for specific selection of all cards good in the matchup, to choose the current best card in a particular situation. I don't want it that I can leave in bad cards since I supposedly need bad cards to pitch to Looting.
Imagine this scenario (mardu perspective): Lets say I am in topdeck mode and topdeck a dead land. I then flashback Looting, from which I hope to draw a removal spell to kill a lethal opposing Tarmogoyf. Now if I have BM in my deck, I could draw into BM + Bolt for example. I obviously keep Bolt as the only good card and just loose since Bolt doesnt kill the goyf. Now imagine if I had drawn into Bolt + Push. Both are good cards in the matchup, but I can now choose the better card in the matchup for this situation. Both cards could kill a Bob or Ooze (generally) but here I gladly take Push to kill the goyf. So the presence of bad cards which are 100 % misses in lategame Lootings make looting worse. Looting is there to select. Not to pick the only playable left. Therefore, following this principle, I would totally board out BM against Jund.
I really like the list of Calebd play last nigth, i think his 5 0, i have a Picture of the decklist but i doesnt know wath post here. He running only 2 BBE in MB and 1 SB and more agressive list.
